  • In this show we are fly fishing for trout on a small and little-known creek in British Columbia, using dry flies and nymphs to catch and release small Cutthroats. We found a short section of the creek that has public access, so even though we knew very little about it we gave it a try. Honestly, not many big fish here but a quiet small creek with eager fish was still very fun. We start early in the day with small nymphs like a size 16 Pheasant Tail. Midday we are able to get a few to come up to dry flies and then in the evening it is back to nymphs. After hiking a ways, we find the best hole of the day and our efforts are rewarded. We hook and bring to the net the two biggest fish of the day. A Rainbow and a Cutthroat.
Fly Fishing with Ladin's primary purpose is to share fly fishing techniques and places to fly fish in the Western United States. We are a dedicated fly fishing TH-cam channel promoting catch and release fly fishing. Our motto is having fun catching and releasing fish. We want to share our passion with others. We are not professionals. We are passionate about fly fishing but we do not take ourselves to seriously. We show our mistakes, falling in, getting flies stuck in wrong places, loosing fish. The same things that all of us experience fly fishing. We have been fly fishing northwest waters for over forty years. But we are always learning new things that we like to pass along. We think our channel is a great place to get ideas for fly fishing vacations and weekend trips.

I'm like 95% certain, you were fishing in the same spots where I grew up and learned how to fly fish. That was a wonderful flashback to watch.

Hi Ladin, thanks for taking us along to BC. I've always thought a small fish day to be much better than a no fish day, and yes the scenery was fantastic.

Part II 😁 Caught my first 4 steelhead on the fly. First on a orange Hot fox comet and 3 on the Kaufman's steelhead muddler. My first was on a 6wt Fenwick,, had to use a net but NEVER used a net since and never used a indicator. I guess it's like bobber fishing when using a nymph?? ☮️

You guys look like you always have fun, which is MOST important. Could've broken out a 3wt or other light rod setup, if such was available. ☮ from North Idaho.

I'm thinking you might catch bigger fish if you stopped walking through their living room 😂 AND try a streamer like a muddler minnow! Clear stream, clear colored fish it seems? Salmon and Steelhead season!! Like to see you wrassle a Coho on the fly!! Great Job and Tight Lines guys!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
