Congratulations! I've been clean for almost six years from drugs and alcohol but I can't beat the nicotine. I did stop smoking about a year ago and now I vape. But I get much more nicotine because I just vape constantly cuz I do it in my house and it sits right next to me. I'm thinking of just leaving it in one room and walking to that room when I want to vape. I used to smoke just like 10 cigarettes a day now I'm probably getting the equivalent of more than a pack from vaping. I will say I feel much better though.

What irritates me the most about *all* of your videos related to vaping is that it seems you're intentionally conflating vaping nicotine-based e-liquids vs vaping THC-based cartridges, treating them as if there's no difference between the two. The two things are *vastly* different with vastly different compositions, the most glaring differences being that THC and vitamin E acetate are *not* used in nicotine-based e-liquids, and evali is a non-issue with nicotine-based e-liquids. It would be more helpful and honest if you would research what *is* in nicotine-based e-liquids and do a side-by-side comparison between smoking vs vaping nicotine-based e-liquids without lumping two very different forms of vaping together.

Ive been vaping for 4 years, and compared to my friend that is doing both or smoking only. Vape seems healthier in visual, also not leaving bad smells on yourbclothings that often get complained. But vaping and smoking make your breath short, nicotines in vape also cause addictions, if you vape indoors for a long time you notice your floor feeling sticky/damp and lastly if you using pods, it can be more expensive than regular cigarretes (at least in my country in SEA). I tried to reduce and eventually stop vaping and its not as extreme as my friend that smoking but you still feeling the crave/itch. I tried to solve it with a strong peppermint candy but sometimes its not working but at least i never go to regular cigarette.
The solution is never smoke. Dont follow trends and if you can stay away from vapers/smokers area since even if you dont do those, inhaling the exhaled can still kill you.

As more studies were conducted and more procedures/technology were invented we quickly figured out how dangerous those things were. The thing is, vaping really isnt that new. Its been around since at least the 80’s. And has been pretty popular for at least 20 years. The “its still too new” argument is really invalid. I know there are good intentions behind the vaping industry, However, I think there is a much better alternative to both smoking and vaping. Also it is important to bear in mind that vaping is a relatively new invention and as such there are no long term studies on the potentially detrimental effects of it. A long term study requires 20 years or longer of use and vaping as an industry has not yet existed even that long.
Also there are several noteworthy short term side effects of vaping that have been reported as well.
Cigarette smoking where the user inhales into the lungs can also be regarded as a more modern rather than traditional practice.
Historically and traditionally, tobacco was not inhaled into the lungs, but rather it was puffed either in cigar or pipe tobacco form.
Furthermore, the types of tobacco used traditionally were usually more organic in nature and also did not have a plethora of chemical additives
    as with modern cigarette tobacco.
Cigarette manufacturers add hundreds of synthetic chemicals to their product for several reasons, one being to bypass the bodies natural reflexive action to
reject smoke inhalation into the lungs. Think about it, if you were to pick some random leaves and dry them or even if you grew your own tobacco and tried
to smoke it, you would cough strongly as the body immediately rejects any type of smoke inhalation.
The tobacco needs to be heavily processed on many levels, from genetic modification of the plant itself, inorganic farming processes and
hundreds of chemical additives during the final production process to allow it to be inhaled easily.
In fact, looking at historical studies, A strong correlation between lung and mouth cancers and tobacco only really came about after the introduction of
heavily processed forms of tobacco into the mainstream public, around the 1920's onwards. Leaving time for long term studies to find the correlation,
we see many studies in the 1950's and 60's first starting to show this.
Some argue that people simply were too ignorant to the potential harm of tobacco in more historic times but this is simply not true. Some studies into
the potential risk factors of tobacco date back to even as early as the 1700's and possibly older. The idea that older cultures where ignorant to
facets of their everyday life is simply not accurate.
Another common argument is that the hundreds of chemical additives allowed to be used in tobacco production are generally regarded as food safe. Perhaps.
But cigarettes are not eaten, they are combusted and as we know, combustion is a thermal chemical reaction that can convert seemingly harmless chemicals into
toxic ones. Just because something may be safe to eat does not mean it is safe to light and inhale into your lungs.
Also there is much evidence nowadays that indicates that chemical additives and genetically modified plants are more harmful than more organic options.
Tobacco, in my opinion is no exception. If you smoke a natural wild strain of tobacco, do not use toxic pesticides and herbicides during its growth and further
do not add chemical additives in its production and finally do not inhale it into your lungs, You will have a vastly different and more healthy product.
I often make the analogy of the difference between smoke created by a synthetic substance like burning plastic to that of an organic substance like wood or dried leaves.
Certainly one is more toxic than the other. Would you sit next to a campfire of burning plastic material comfortably? Would you cook over it?
Humans have co existed with smoke for millennia, think of how even today we still preserve certain foods by smoking them. It is not as simple as to say that smoke is harmful.
It is the type of smoke as well as how the smoke is used that should be considered. In fact, some studies indicate that pipe or cigar smokers, particularly those that use high quality organic
tobaccos had the same rate of mouth cancer as the general populace, which in other words is no risk at all.
In conclusion, I think organic, chemical free, ,wild natural strains of tobacco smoked traditionally in a wooden pipe (pure
wood of both bowl and stem is preferable) or as a cigar is much much healthier than either vaping or cigarette smoking.
If you would like to open up a healthy debate on the matter I am more that willing to delve deeper into the subject

No, we are not trying to still figure it out. The CDC's final report clearly says that EVALI was caused by vitamin E Acetone added to the legal marijuana vape carts. It had absolutely nothing to do with nicotine vaping. Royal College of Physicians 2018 paper also states that vaping is 98% less harmful than smoking constable cigarettes.

It is said that when You want to quit smoking cigar, but can't do it right away 'cause of nicotine(which makes smoking addictive); You can switch to vaping and gradually lessen the nicotine content of the juices as time goes by 'till it reaches 0mg of nicotine. However, smoking or vaping in general is still bad for your health specially our lungs. This is only really applicable when a smoker really can't take out smoking out of their lives right away. So if You're not smoking or vaping , It is recommended to not start it. Having said all that, it is still an individual's choice whether to or not to smoke.😊

For 3 years on and off i regularly smoked ~2packs of cigs a day and felt occasionally out of breath when doing physical activities but when i vaped for a year straight i would straight up not be able to breathe sometimes and struggle to catch my breathe when laying down doing either little or lots of activity and that led to me quiting cold turkey

Congratulations for taking that step and getting on Suboxone. Don't listen the couple of numbskulls here in the comments that wouldn't think twice for taking medication for any other disease, but somehow want to judge you and what you suffer with as different. Luckily randos with no education, no experience in public health, and that have never bothered to look at the wealth of data on MAT don't decide if you can use it or not, unless they are a member of state or federal government, but that's a whole different conversation.
I wouldn't suggest nicotine to help with those constipating side effects, as nicotine isn't great for you although gum is a miles better than cigarettes, so hopefully you'll be able to transition off the gum before too long as well.
Many individuals I have worked with I suggested taking just an over the counter oral magnesium dietary supplement. That coupled with another pill such as acidophilus, that is essentially just extra good digestive bacteria, really does the trick for most people. Just increase your water intake with those and it can really help relieve some of those unfortunate side effects.
Congrats again on starting down that road. Recovery looks different for every single person attempting it and it can take many tries. Addiction, much like any other disease, responds differently from person to person, so it is finding the right mix of medication, counseling, education, and a ton of other factors that works for you. You've got this!
