Hey y'all! If you wanna help support my channel, consider buying my album on bandcamp and leaving a review or checking it out on streaming services around the world: dylanparis.bandcamp.com/album/theres-something-better
I came for how to export stuff on gadget but I'm listening to your album on Spotify and I'm only a little way through, but its good!!! Keep doing you bro, its different yet good, that's what we need more of, original music and fresh ideas
Thank you friend! Also, I got feedback on this vid that the export part was rushed, so I made a separate full tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/e0OEj5Uvfo8/w-d-xo.html
aye that's fire Dylan, and I'm trying to make that same kinda music for Christ. Please keep making videos and inspiring new artists like myself and Be blessed!
This is a dope workflow brother. Thank you for sharing. I need to think outside the box with how these apps can work together. I found this while trying to find a way to sample gadget in bm3. Never would have thought of pulling stems from gadget. Opens up a lot of possibilities!
Happy to help! I started taking Gadget stems into ableton for an album I’m working on and realized I could do the same thing in different iPad apps too
Brilliant track. You really know your way around the gear. I had beatnaker2 many years ago and really enjoyed it, I got BM3 today and I’m completely lost haha. It’s been many years since I touched anything like this. I’ve subscribed and hoping to see more beatmaker3 videos here. You’re a talented guy so would be good to see how you use it. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼👊🏼
@@DylanParisMusic please do, for my sanity haha. A tutorial on making beats in the pattern tab would be handy if you could fit that in to your workflow. I can’t finger drum and nobody does videos on that here on YT as far as I’ve found. When I used BM2 I programmed some really cool sequences in the pattern tab. But I can’t figure it out on BM3 just yet. I’m hoping to get back into small scale production and remixing, just for myself and friends. I really got into it back when BM2 first came out. And used to have a Roland SP808 groove box too. Anyway, your videos are inspiring so they are pushing me to do more. So thank you. Big love for over in London’s 🇬🇧👍🏼👊🏼
Appreciate your time and feedback! For finger drumming I honestly just kept doing it until I didn't suck at it haha. I think Datsunn has some good tutorials on it
The packs make it pretty fantastic! I highly recommend Module as it has beautiful piano and organ/epiano sounds and orchestral expansions I used on this video
I just sprung for Gadget and the nano key studio. I'm coming from Ableton and an Arturia keystep(nice sized keys, traditional layout, velocity, aftertouch). I'm wondering if I'll ever get over how awkward the nano key feels. It feels like I woke up aboard a UFO and I'm trying to fly a ship using buttons designed for an alien race. The size and layout of the keys is so damn awkward! Not to mention the lack of velocity sensitivity. I feel like if you're coming from something like a Volca it's gonna translate a lot easier. Wondering if I should invest time learning Gadget that I could just use on getting better at Ableton.
@@DylanParisMusic I did they said it was going to be fixed but they didn't say when. I got it when the Black Friday deal was on so I don't think I'll buy it again because it will be full price
that's understandable, I'm sorry you had a negative experience with the app. I've definitely had some bugs in the past but never a full no launch issue.
I thought I was the only one who had trouble making chords in KorgGadget, when two chords are linked and you don't remove your finger from the previous chord, the next chord cuts out or stays playing infinitely until you press another key, that didn't happen in previous versions , I don't know if there will be a solution... Good video!!!
I know this is a weird solution but I HATE Korg's keys. I actually kinda hate Korg Gadget (the DAW itself), not gonna lie. However.... some of the gadgets are incredible (BTW, Gladstone is one of my faves). Ultimately, I say this because literally from the beginning I tried to find solutions to the keyboard offered in Korg Gadget. Its keys are horrible to use on iPhone which is what I use (too small), so ultimately I use NanoStudio 2 as a midi DAW/sequencer, assign a midi channel per track on NS2, and have GADGET read each instrument per separate midi channel from NS2 in realtime. So essentially, I use NS2's timeline and piano roll that I find incredibly superior to Gadget's and send the midi from NS2 to Gadget so that I can technically still use gadget without having to deal with it's *IMO* clunky interface. then I just make sure each instrument is going through its own midi channel and then in Gadget I specify what channel each instrument listens to from NS2's midi. I'm saying this, because the issue you describe sounds a lot like a note-off missing message. This usually is a problem with the code part that deals with keyboards, not the synth itself (lingering notes). Maybe all you need in order to avoid that, is to use a "better" timeline (if it's even glitched, I am not sure and I don't really understand what you mean by two linked chords (sorry, not a native english speaker)). I cannot confirm that this is the case, but maybe you already have something else available (any keyboard should do, maybe use an AUv3 keyboard in AUM or something like that and then send the midi to Gadget, or realistically you could even use Beat Maker 3's keyboard I imagine (don't own that soft though because of the whole iPhone user thing, where it's not available)). All I can say is I've never had this issue but well, I've already described my workflow with Gadget (that I don't really use much, but I do like many of it's synths and sounds just hate its UI).
I'm using the shure 215 iems, and for most of the video I'm using just a USB C to 3.5mm adapter directly, then for the end where I need to record vocals, I'm using a USB C to USB A into Komplete 6, with headphones plugged into the interface :]

I've been creating music for 35 years & I still find it fascinating watching others develop their ideas. Great stuff too.
Thank you! That’s awesome!
Sounds really cool! It was awesome to see your workflow making music on the iPad. Thanks for sharing. Amazing work!
Thank you!
Here by way of khordmaster. Love the korg gadget. By the way excellent song creation, sir

Great music! I loved the melody and they way you have put all of this on Gadget. Cheers!
thank you Pablo! 🙏😊
Please finish that song, what a beautiful melody.
Dope Beat

very nice making me want to get back to making music
Thanks Tyler! Do ittt
You inspire me to make better tracks! Having a lot of music apps sometimes limits your creativity. Great content ❤️
Thank you so much! I’m glad I can help at all 😊
Awesome dude
Thank you 🙏
Love it.
Thank you!
Dylan Paris You’re welcome.
Is it a different APP when you sing? would you tell me which APP?
Like the workflow. Bought Gadget the other day. Want to dig in a little deeper in the gadget cosmos as there are some packs on sale ;-)

I’m trying to watch exactly what you’re doing to export and move everything to Beatmaker but it’s so fast. Maybe a video explaining how this is done?
I can do that for sure! Thanks for watching :)

Hard to say! I definitely use both but I understand the clunkiness going from the keylab to the nano key. I don't use the nano key much these days
wow.

Couldn't even get my beatmaker 3 to work I downloaded it and everytime I try to start it
it just crashed

@@DylanParisMusic I only use beatmaker 2 of couple of times there was problems with that which they never fixed as well
No with the autotune, is there relatively no latency?
I didn’t notice any with this setup, even had screen recording going and the buffer on 256 in BM3
