StickyGoose - Thank you so much for the amazingly kind words you said about me! I was pleased that you even knew about me and I'm honored that you thought enough of my channel to put it in your top 5! Your thoughtful remarks about my openness on the air moved me to tears. Again, thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate it!
The Comics Den is my favorite. They're a husband/wife team in Florida and seem like very genuine people who still get excited about every aspect of the hobby.
The girl either has super greasy hair.. or she's always just got out of the shower. They have a good channel.. but I find they like/collect too many usless art/cover books.
@@johnnydropkicks he has focused on selling which is ok, since this is his full time job now. i did become a member and I enjoy his fun facts he posts on a regular basis. I enjoyed his posts more before he was a dealer, because he was focused more on the hunt for his PC. i will continue to view and support him. to jump in and become a full time dealer with a wife and now a kid, is pretty cool.
I liked James until he sold me a comic with a massive water stain on the back (not disclosed) and then ghosted me. Was a shame because I watched his videos for a year and enjoyed his content
I’m just getting back into the comic game after taking a couple years off. So I just recently found your channel. However back in the day when I first started my favorite and the ones who I feel where a good og in the comic TH-cam game but have since stopped making videos was Comic Trips. I still find my self going back and rewatching their content because of how good it was. I will definitely be checking out some of these channels however.
This is my top 10 list right now: 10. Thinking Critical 9. Sticky Goose 8. Comic Book Palace 7. Near Mint Condition 6. Pop Culture Philosophers 5. The Comics Den 4. Owen Likes Comics 3. Matttt 2. Comic Tropes 1. Cartoonist Kayfabe
I won't put mine in any particular order: 1) Comic Tropes. I won't lie. I used to like his channel a lot better. But when he runs a video that looks interesting, I'll still check it out. I don't think he ever really does BAD. I just feel like sometimes he goes for times without content or he talks about politics within the business I just don't care about. But sooner or later, I'll end up watching one of his videos and remember why I always enjoyed his channel. 2) Comics by Perch. Perch really has a fair way of coming at the business. And he analyzes it all a lot. He's not too firmly in any of the camps. He's not "new comics suck", but he's not really "old comics rule", either. So I can watch his channel and enjoy it. I will say it seems lately that most of the content is "why are comics failing?' or deep dives into sales that lose my interest in a few minutes. But when it's good, it's good. 3) Mint Hunter. I really detested this channel when I started watching it. I think I tuned in just to tick myself off. Flippers bragging about flips annoy the crap out of me. But, as time has gone on, I can tell James is really into the stuff he is really into and uses the rest to fund that. And now that he has a shop, it seems like he's calmed down on the flipping talk and just imparts information. I also agree that sometimes it seems like his info is...Less than stellar. But it may be his area has better sales than others. I won't judge too harsh. I give him points because I used to bait him all the time and he would just "love" my comments. I can't get mad at someone that just refuses to get into arguments with me. 4) Comics Explained. I have to show Rob some love even though I can't remember the last time I watched one of his videos. I was out of comic collecting for a long time. The money part of collecting doesn't draw me in. If anything, trying to flip comics back in the day turned me against my favorite hobby. Like right now, when I just stick to buying and occasionally trading rather than selling, I take a lot of pleasure in the hobby. James got me excited about comics again because he LOVES comics! For reading purposes! He gets excited about so many stories and he wants to share that. And it's infectious! I watched enough of his videos I searched up a local shop to go to a few towns over and got back into the hobby. The shop is gone, but I'm pretty sure Rob is still making content. If you want to see a positive, fun channel about a guy who loves comics, this is your space! 5) StickyGoose: I'll come right out and say it. I do tend to give you a lot of crap in the comments. But I keep watching. And when it comes to comics, I usually go to your channel before the others. I enjoy seeing you visit conventions and go through books. You do seem to love comics and it's fun to see what is going on in the scene nowadays without having to go myself. So, even when you see me arguing in the comments, just know that if I didn't like the channel, I wouldn't bother. This is my go-to comic channel and I've even been putting annoying comments in less. Don't get me started on a Top 5 Worst list. Pretty much all of my choices would go to Comic Tom and his cronies. That dude does more damage to comics than pretty much any other channel on here. It's not because he's toxic and likes to argue. It's the fact that so many new collectors look at this guy as a living Wizard: The Guide to Comics. And he shills as bad as they used to. If he's getting freebies from a company, they're the greatest thing out there! And he pushes books that he is trying to move and giving the most idiotic reasons why they're going to be hot! I used to watch his channel and take it with a grain of salt. But during the big blow-up during the pandemic when he was pushing Silver Surfer #3 and any "magical Marvel" book because they would be HOT HOT HOT! due to the Wandavision show....Ugh! It ticked me off! Yeah, Silver Surfer #3 was a book that was in need of some love. One of those late Silver Age books that had wallowed in the cheap bin for too long. But, come one! If Marvel ever does Mephisto in the movies, it's going to be because they ran out of everyone besides the Wrecking Crew! They've got a better chance! Mephiso is a public domain character! They're not going to pour a lot into that and on top of that a DEMONIC character that they might have to live down. What I always tell people is that if Comic Tom is talking about it, it's too late. Hunt and peck your flips on your own. Don't use him as a guide. If he's talking about it, it's already cold and his legions have bought the books into worthlessness.
Great list. Make sure to add sticky gooose to your list Also. Look up Preston’s Comics. Alan the comic geek. Bronzeville. . Alex the comic hoarder and of course swagglehause
My current LCS is a lousy place and Comic Book Palace reminds me of going to the several LCS that were in my area in the 80’s. I enjoy Merry Marvelite , Owen Likes Comics, Comic Tropes. My favorite is posted on YT but as an afterthought to their podcast : TheEarthTwoPodcast
My favorites are Lunch Money Comics, The Comics Den, and Longbox Love Affair. They all have good content without drama and without being overly drawn out.
Beyond Wednesdays-I love their Industry of Comics podcast, listen to every one and they always have great guests and hot takes... And even tho I'm not a retailer, it's interesting to see things from the other side. StickyGoose Comics- SG just gives the most authentic takes on YT, not even always right, but always real. Also seems to be one of the most self aware in the space, able to reflect and correct in the past. Keep It THORO Comics- great live shows, always join when I can but his videos aren't even slightly edited, which makes going back to watch em a pain.. I think he has well informed opinions and cares about the things I care about in relation to the comic "community" and what he reports on. WeLoveComics- same problem as THORO with not editing but it kinda works for him cuz he has a really old school TH-cam vibe. His uh... politics...slip through every now and then but his wisdom and advice is invaluable. Not financial advice but he puts tips out there for viewers and has a pretty good track record of being right, also sells but is very 1 on 1 & doesn't seem like he's milking his viewers. Kind of a Honeypot of a channel really. & for me really drives home that even if you disagree with people, you can still listen to em and learn something. Kurt's Comic Review- dude just has a very TH-camr style without being cringe, like actually TH-cam, very solid presence and videos are interesting for it.
Comic tropes is great I always feel like I’m gonna learn something from his videos. Bronze and modern gods is great too. Jerno was pretty good for a while but his personal life has really impacted his channel
I am a fan of the following: Lunch Money Comics -- Mike is no-frills and positive. Bronze and Modern Gods is goofy, but the guys aren't afraid to have opinions. Sticky Goose has an everyman quality and addresses diverse topics.
You missed one, Collectors Confession is great. Two older guys with a lot of comic book and related knowledge. Their haul videos and creator interviews are awesome.
A couple I didn't see mentioned are RH Midwest Comics and Comic Book Investments. RH Midwest Comics is small but growing. His price analysis videos are great, and videos of all the shows he attends are fun to watch.
Cartoonist kayfabe was the best ever. The only people talking about actual comics during the hype train Slabdemic. Just watch the video with Stephen Bissette talking about doing shrooms in the woods and mailing pages back and forth to England with Allen Moore. Some of the best content ever created was on that channel.
I love watching The Comic Book Palace! I actually had the pleasure of visiting that shop a few years back, Glen was great to talk to. You forgot about The Comics Den, that is an amazing channel, I always look forward to their content. I used to watch Comic Trips all the time but unfortunately that channel is no more...and ya know Sticky Goose Comics is pretty good too :)
I've been collecting for a looong time, but I only recently started regularly watching youtube content. I like your channel! And Mint Hunter, Wahoo Comics, Bry's Comics, and MomoOno collects. I've also watched several ComicTrope videos because of his MASSIVE knowledge of deep history. You've encouraged me to go check out some of those others. I don't watch a lot of comic haul/pickup/unboxing or "I raided an ignorant garage sale seller" stuff --- I like gaining insight about the hobby and stuff I may want to read or pick up someday. I also quickly tired of the hardcore CGC channels, because they're so negative and kind of cold and calculating and ruthless. (And I'm not a CGC hater, I have a lot of graded books, but I'm also not a CGC apologist.)
Excellent list my dude! Also, If you ain't watching Dope_Comix you're really missing out, and Lunch Money Comics is great content too. Cartoonist Kayfabe on another level and is LEGEND status. RIP Eddie P ❤
Hands down the three best TH-camrs that I have followed over the last 3 years where I have gained valuable insights and knowledge that has helped me immensely as a comic investor are Swagglehaus, Automatic Comics and Reserved Investments. Minthunter Comics gets an honorable mention for the creativity of his videos.
I can attest I’ve been watching Gem’s videos since before I was really into comics and just liked seeing cool statues. I don’t even collect statues or anything lol.
Reapeetate is my #1. Clear headed absolute spotless stand up dude. One of the best and 1st pooptuber i subscribed to since pooptube started. Then there's merchnaut, a nut but absolutely ❤ him. Then Glen and Tom. I depend on comic Tom, even though I seldom agree with their interests in modern books. Then Glen or comic palace, is the most level headed, keeping his foothold on the reality of where collecting came from and where it's going. Comic book palace is a gem of a show, a for its content possibly worthy of a pooptube Oscar 😂❤🏆
My top 5 are 1. Mother Goose explains the law 2. Sticky Goose Comics 3. Sticky Goose gets in trouble 4. Sticky Goose reads from Omnibusses 5. Daniel talks about Comics
Comicbook Palace is my favorite. I love Glenn's personality because hes genuine and nowadays thats harder and harder to find. Theres also no agenda which is also harder and harder to find. Its a shame his kind is a dying breed. but I do watch every Stickygoose as well so there's that. Not sure what that says about me now that I think about it....
I like Comics Den, ran into them at Heros Con. One drawback I have with D'Angelo is that he gets a little too excited by some "meh" books, everything is so cool. Sticky Goose is up there, but I love Glen at Comic hook palace. An accurate slice if comic shop life is spot on.
I’ve watch Comic Book Palace since day 1. It remains one of my favorites. To be honest StickyGoose is the one I look forward to the most. Sticky brings the best stuff weekly hands down. My 2nd and 3rd go to is Bronze and Modern Gods and also Bronzeville Comics
Bj Kicks over at Comics Are Dope is one of my all time favorites. Hes so chill and has a great podcast. Mike from Lunch Money is amazing too. Hall of Nerds are some younger folks who rock Comic Tom and Gem Mint 💎 are cool And Brave and The Boys is awesome
Comic Tropes/Comicstorian/CatFan ComicsMan for storytelling; Strange Brain parts for more analytical videos; and Caped Joel/Brian LCS for my Spidey fix/reviews.
You missed Collectors Confessions, its two older guys who really just love comic books and have been collecting a long time! They also do some amazing creator interviews! Check them out.
Future Past Vintage Collectables and Pop Comics. I find the latter's lengthy digging-through-bins videos, and his eclectic not-just-superhero tastes, to be weirdly addictive. Plus, he's in NYC, and the comic hunting there must be off the charts!
It's "Clerks"...in a Comic Shop. It's a personal favorite channel for me. Real experiences, real consumers, real reviews....history. Barnone, the best show
Off the top pf my head you missed one really good one, Collectors Confessions. Those guys creator interviews are outstanding. Plus their haul videos are always entertaining
I watched most of those TH-camrs at one point. Only problem is when they get successful they usually change everything that I liked about their videos.
I watch the comic palace all the time. I use to watch James at minthunter a lot until he became a full-time seller. I've never watched gem mint, it was just something about him.
Mint Hunters, The comics den, Sticky goose, Comic investments with Dave and Zolly Becker are the ones I save for pizza and coke and a joint afterwords for.
Improve-Collecting Comics is probably the best pressing/unboxing channel, oh then there is Jerry Jitterbug and his clickbait thumbnails with the hot women, haha, he's a nice guy though one of the best pressers around.
This guy doesn’t post videos anymore but I would include as honorable mention Reggie from Reggie Collects. I always recommended comic newbies to his channel as he spoke on more broader topics in collecting and was a good ambassador to the hobby
For me it's Near Mint Condition easily the best. Totally professional and knowledgable. James from Mint Hunter produces some superb content on offbeat areas like controversial comics and covers.Glenn is just a laugh and I like this channel a lot. I'm just going to say it ...I see Comic Tom and Gem Mint as the villains of the hobby, having fuelled the bubble by that has since burst, by pumping many worthless comics, likely resulting in hoodwinked young collectors leaving the hobby. These are like the guys that were spruiking bitcoin.
Cartoonist kayfabe is the all time best, Near mint condition, lunch money comics, automatic comics and Daniel Warren Johnson s live on Fridays. I’m starting to follow ae index on artist editions
David Finch's channel is great for art. Jorge Molina & Frank Cho both just recently joined YT also. That's a whole different subset of the hobby, though. Felix Comic Art always does amazing art unboxings about once a month. He usually always invites a guest on. Comic Art Live channel is run by Bill Cox, the founder of Comic Art Fans website. I love how it's grown beyond just that site. He does interviews with creators all the time. Every Wednesday evening, Romitaman (Mike Burkey) & Anthony's Comic Art (Anthony Snyder) do the Dueling Dealers Of Comic Art show on Comic Art Live with Bill. It's entertaining to say the least. And you can see some kickass Original Art for sale!
I like Mint Hunters channel. I tried Gem Mint but felt it was too over produced. I have a channel though. I post once a day, every day, and I don’t edit. My videos go for about 5 minutes on average. I show off random comics not promoted on other channels.
1. Stickgoose (Hands Down) 2. ETA Nick (No longer does videos) 3. We Love Comics 4. Mighty Comics & Collectibles 5. Reserved Investments (More a collectibles finance channel but Shawn is a smart dude)
i looked at the thumbnail before i looked at who posted it and said "Where is StickyGoose??" Future Past Vintage Collectibles etanick (when he was still active) Comic Book Palace

My top 5 are
1. Mother Goose explains the law
2. Sticky Goose Comics
3. Sticky Goose gets in trouble
4. Sticky Goose reads from Omnibusses
What I didn't make you're top 5!!! My motto is Comic Books are in my DNA
"Dude that's Sick!!!"
the old channel comic trips will always my my go to. but Glenn and the Comic Book Palace was good early on. i did give him the name big nasty
I’ve watch Comic Book Palace since day 1. It remains one of my favorites. To be honest StickyGoose is the one I look forward to the most. Sticky brings the best stuff weekly hands down. My 2nd and 3rd go to is Bronze and Modern Gods and also Bronzeville Comics
great content. ty
wow, great video. thanks so much
Bj Kicks over at Comics Are Dope is one of my all time favorites. Hes so chill and has a great podcast.
Mike from Lunch Money is amazing too.
Hall of Nerds are some younger folks who rock
Comic Tom and Gem Mint 💎 are cool
And Brave and The Boys is awesome
Comic den, lunch money, mint comic, comic explain, and sticky goose
Honourable mention to Lords of the Long Box and Tim (Tvo), RIP my man !
Good to see some CBC Award winners made the list.
Not forgetting 'jerry the jitterbug' his work on restoring/conserving comics is a pleasure to watch. Need a thick skin to get into it with Glenn
I am super biased but I agree- OmniDog rules!! Thank you 😊 - OmniDaughter
Top 3
1.Sticky goose
2. Lunch money comics
3. Mint Hunter...tho this could go to anyone
Glen is #1 you can hear the passion in his voice when he talks
I watched most of those TH-camrs at one point. Only problem is when they get successful they usually change everything that I liked about their videos.
My favorites CaptainStrangelife, Mercenaut, Reapertate, We love comics, stickygoose
You missed two good ones Lunch Money and Collectors Confessions, both are guys a little bit older then most. You should check them out!
I watch the comic palace all the time. I use to watch James at minthunter a lot until he became a full-time seller. I've never watched gem mint, it was just something about him.
I have to thank you. I use the line "In real life, is this guy an a$$hole? Probably." on Glenn all the time now.
You were rippin on Gem mint a few months ago. Now he's your #2? 🌲
Bronzeville comics
LMC is great too!!
havent watched yet, watching now. I love Glen.. Just want to say that before I watch further
If I had to choose only 5: 1. Cartoonist Kayfaybe (RIP Ed) 2. Comic Book Palace 3. Earl grey 4. Mercenaut, 5. ComicKrack
There are a lot of good comic book TH-camr's and I really like Lunch money Comics,Comic book investments and Mint Hunter Comics the best.
This guy doesn’t post videos anymore but I would include as honorable mention Reggie from Reggie Collects. I always recommended comic newbies to his channel as he spoke on more broader topics in collecting and was a good ambassador to the hobby
Mint Hunter videos are addictive, he does a great a job.
comic book palace is the best.... real comic shop vibes.
I used to love lords of the long box. I watch the new channel since Tvo passed.
I'd say RegieCollects, but I'm not even sure where he went to? I don't see anything new from his channel
Casually Comics is my favorite
Cartoonist kayfabe is the all time best, Near mint condition, lunch money comics, automatic comics and Daniel Warren Johnson s live on Fridays. I’m starting to follow ae index on artist editions
Want to add to some points to comic lounge and west coast davengers
My 7 favorites:
Comic Book Corner 2.0
Lunch Money Comics
Mint-Hunter Comic
Very Gary Comics
Comics With Bueller
All Sorts Of Words
M.O.N. Comics
I like Mint Hunters channel. I tried Gem Mint but felt it was too over produced. I have a channel though. I post once a day, every day, and I don’t edit. My videos go for about 5 minutes on average. I show off random comics not promoted on other channels.
Comic Tropes gets on my nerves for some strange reason
1. Stickgoose (Hands Down)
2. ETA Nick (No longer does videos)
3. We Love Comics
4. Mighty Comics & Collectibles
5. Reserved Investments (More a collectibles finance channel but Shawn is a smart dude)
The comics Den is my favorite.
i looked at the thumbnail before i looked at who posted it and said "Where is StickyGoose??"
Future Past Vintage Collectibles
etanick (when he was still active)
Comic Book Palace
Reggie collects
RIP
lunch money and comics den and of course Sticky Goose!!
Sticky, why is Will Ferrell on your t-shirt?
