I watch you because of you are articulate & produced very informative videos such a types of comic shops, customers, dealers, the disadvantages of “slabs”, tours of comic shops, etc. I was aware of your unorthodox behaviour, but didn’t watch or focus on those videos. I like your informative videos! Keep these videos coming please!

I only have one graded comic book…Black Panther 1 (1977) 9.4. It was a birthday gift from my son.

The whole problem was the way you came a crossed when asking your questions and trying to set him up it’s okay to be aggressive because you did it with what seemed with attitude and ill intent. The nursing home picture when he was talking about it you made this face like he’s bs but to him that was special. Also he can fucking talk he does this every week so you should have prepared with his energy because that’s just how he always delivers himself. Also your wife if she did call him slimy that’s rude I mean she can defend I would but there’s a line. Anyways I hope you reevaluate your content and come up with something more positive than negative because we need more of that than this bs drama. Let comics be about comics not this pissing contest

Now that everyone is getting out of it. I'll go grade a heap of comics cheaper then it was when all the flippers were abusing it. The idea is to have your cgc grades comics on display and you read your tpb or omnibuses

Comic Tom was very thorough and knowledgeable. He owned it and did great. Keep going man, don't stop with content and buying books. But I think you might want to view the hobby differently now. Nothing is set in stone, market changes, like and dislikes change, etc. Peace

I think you are obviously from VA and Im surprised you didn't mention the 6th type that has popped up in the last decade or so - the corporate used EVERYTHING store - such as McKays Books , 1/2 price books and 2nd and charles - then there are the "mall stores" that are franchised like dragon's lair - I really liked your video and you are SPOT ON with your 5 types

I feel that bricked comics is just another way for stores to price gouge

I almost bought a slabbed Shonen Jump, but then the CGC scandal happened. Not only do I not trust any slab with a CGC label, but I no longer trust slabs, period. After all, if one top grader was regularly pulling that scam, who says PSA and other aren't? I don't think I would ever buy a slab that isn't a 1.0; they're the only ones guaranteed to be worth anything. And if I'm willing to buy a 1.0, then I might as well just buy raw.

I generally don't like drama, I'm not keen on the negativity, and I don't subscribe to StickyGoose...but, when the algorithm points me here I usually watch. If you're paying attention I think the StickyGoose drama and negativity *mostly* seems like a role...the official heel of the TH-cam comic community, and often pretty funny.

I just found your channel and find your perspective interesting, particularly on the "new comic book day" books. I personally collect 4 ongoing titles and find the single issues more enjoyable (to read and collect). I keep a box of "to read" books and read them as a full storyline once they're complete (like a trade). Also, a point for the single issues would be that i think the weekly subscriptions are what keep the industry going and ensure these great stories continue to be produced.

I find the people who defend Tom have really fallen for his grift …. His whole channel is designed to make him money and there’s nothing wrong with that as long as everyone’s in on it , the fact he sells mystery box’s that are specifically designed to rip people off is all you really need to know about his motivations , he’s a snake oil salesman pure and simple , anyone who thinks they’re going to get sound comic book investment advice has fallen for it … his channel is extremely boring 😂 … but people can find anything entertaining and to each their own ! But don’t kid yourselves about his manipulative motivations 😅…. It’s funny you see other TH-camrs of his ilk who are all essentially trying to do the same thing with varying degrees of success defending his “Position “ as truly ironic … you see some in this comment thread!

you didn't want anyone to challenge you. you challenged him and were confrontational the whole time. You invited him on your show and were an ahole to him the whole time. I am not trying to be mean in my comments; however, it is apparent you are unhappy . I wish you well in your healing but you need to find what makes you happy in life and strive towards that.
