Doing Mactan like a Local

What do local people do on Mactan Island in the evening? I decided to leave the beaches, the "all you can eat" samgyupsal restaurants and the Korean tourists behind and check out some local spots to find out.

Food courts like the one you visited are quite a sad experience if your intention for going there is to just eat.
With the music and the long tables, the area is really geared for social experiences (i.e. with your family or friends). But hey, you ate local...technically not local, but with a local twist. I even mistook the fried egg for an extra cup of rice. Lol.
I hope you get the chance to revisit the area...this time with friends :)
And yes, Filipinos like me are normally are camera-shy. But the moment we become comfortable in front of the lens, we'd be hogging the air time like how we hog the microphone during videoke sessions--great singing voice or not. :)
