I have an Encore Coda 24, and it rips. I put on an upgraded chain, 28T chain ring, pivotal mid seat and 330mm seatpost, Box lever, pads, and grips. Feels like a new bike. I was getting stronger on hilly sections, and felt like is was running out of pedal an the flats. 28/9 is working great on a 24” wheel.
Mafia has me interested but it looks like the 29” only comes in single speed. Of course I’m looking at the SE Fast Ripper, i’m wondering what are some of y’all‘s favorite 29” that have gears?
Cool cast as always. I had a radio legion 29” for a while. Believe it’s a European (German) division of WTP. Was an extremely quality bike with nearly identical SE br geometry but felt smaller in the cockpit, was lighter too.
Are parts interchangeable? Say you had a new Chinese made se bike. Could you swap any of the parts over to that American frame and fork you mentioned at the end. wheels, cranks? Hydraulic brakes??? Are they pretty universal.?
I have a 20" condor anniversary I dont ride because im now 50 years old 6ft and 230lbs. When I rode it last it felt WAY too small. Ive also owned a 650B mountainbike and hated that because it felt too big above all the crossbar on a MTB is way too close to my family jewels lol. I am thinking of buying a 24" as its in between both sizes. Im looking at a bike thats fun, you can jump and thrash down the road. Im stuck between GT pro heritage or a sunday model C. The GT LOOKS nicer but ive heard the sunday will FEEL better to ride..... advice please? thank you
I'm just 3 years younger and got back into riding 1 year ago. I have a 20' Sunday Bmx and a 29ner. I was your size till I lost exactly 30 lbs because of riding. Don't cut yourself short. Age, size, all that means nothing. I forgot how fun these 20' can be. I'm smiling from ear to ear shredding at the skate park. Get yourself a good 20' with the right geometry for you and go have fun AND get healthy. To answer your question, I'd go Sunday. Sunday completes also use Oddyssey parts and Oddssey makes high end Bmx parts. It's generally considered one of the best, if not the best Bmx parts company in the game. They also have good customer service and will work with you if you ever need replacing a part. I got the Hi-C and couldn't have made a better decision. GT used to be good back in the day, but these days they are only 'ok'.
I was thinking about getting either the 27.5 fairdale taj or the Sunday high C but I am definitely upgrading some of the parts also just not sure which bike to Choose from or any other recommendations
I just picked up the 2021 OM flyer all Gold this bike is one of the best bikes they’ve put out really nice parts tu should check it out it is a 26 but it’s just a really good ride

I have both Sunday 29ers and I think they give you the best options for the money.
