  • With the popularity of BMX cruisers and the Bike Life movement, we decided to see what all the fuss was about. Are big BMX bikes (24", 26" and 29" wheels) the future of BMX? Maybe, maybe not, but fun is fun and we had a great time riding and reviewing the 2021 Stolen Zeke 26" cruiser.

    just ordered a saint 24, I had such a great time on my eastern 24 when i was in high school, I love pump tracks and small dirt jumps, just the flow of it. the 24 inch is perfect!!! I hope it will really liven up my regular road biking.

      You'll love it. I still ride the 26" around town often. It's nice being able to jump things with relative ease when I want to. - Mike

    Wow, this is exactly what I want. After buying an expensive full suspension mtb I want another bike to bomb around on. My 13 year old 26er mtb is like 36 lbs and not playful. A bmx cruiser seems like the sweet spot between the two.

Looking at the Stolen Max or Cult Devotion 29 and also a WTP Avenger 27.5 if I can find one for sale anywhere!

    what about the WTP Avenger 27 inch, would it be possible to jump around in that one as well, or is the geometry too off from the BMX to do so, or perhaps is a good compromise of cruiser and and still a lively bike to go a bit off from the normal city bike lanes and jump around on? what you think?

    Hey, as far as sizing, how tall are you? I'm 5'10", but none of my local shops have 26 inches in stock so I can't ride one. Just want to get some perspective to see if I'd be cramped on a 26 inch. 29 inch felt too bulky!

    • @danscompvideos
      @danscompvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm 5'9" and actually have the bars angled a little back so you should be fine on the Zeke or another 26" cruiser with a similar 22.25" toptube. Hope that helps!

    Nice bike, I was looking at the 26 Stolen and the 29 Sunday. And with the hard to get Bikes/Covid situation. 2 weeks ago walking past a bike store in the CBD, in there front window were 2 Big Flyer’s and a High C. A little haggling and 1 hour latter rode out with the Sunday.

      I love my 24" Sunday. Got it at the beginning of lockdown. I always rode 20 but felt foolish and like it was too small. I'm 6'7" so i look like I'm on a damn mini lol. But the 24 felt right. The only negative is the toe drag on spins or harsh turns. Which can be scary lol but i was glad the vid was 100% accurate on that

    What seat did you swap too ? I just ordered one and I'm sure the railed seat may hold up but I'm no fan of them . I'm sure many posts and seats swap or seeing this a year later is it a change from stolen bikes ?

    • @danscompvideos
      @danscompvideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the time that was the factory seat, but I do see now it has been changed in our photos and website specs. This isn't just Stolen bikes, though. Many companies had to change seats this year due to manufacturing delays at Velo, the company that produces Pivotal seats.

      It's pretty strong out of the box. Full chromoly parts, double-wall rims, sealed bearings, etc. Easily mid 200s and up to 300 if you're not taking it off anything crazy.

    • @captainhook8138
      @captainhook8138 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @danscompvideos
      @danscompvideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@captainhook8138 A stronger chain would be recommended. At minimum go with something like a KMC 510 style chain. If you want the strongest possible, a Shadow Interlock Supreme.

    why is the seat a joke on these bikes i built mine with seat bar long enough to sit n peddle it at same time if i had to ride that bike ide walk first

    • @danscompvideos
      @danscompvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      BMX seats in general are not the most comfortable as most riders don't sit to pedal. On a cruiser I can definitely see it being more of an issue. Even the "fat padded" BMX seats are pretty stiff.
      The good thing is they are easy to swap out and fairly inexpensive if you find something you like better. If you're doing long rides sitting down it might be better to get a slim road bike seat.

      @@danscompvideos i rode a 63 schwinn 26 inch springer "granny bike" and i had a two speed kick back hub laced up to a rhinolite tubular rim the bike cost 5 bucks the back rim was 300 bucks and i could ride it in a circle on one wheel and only way i did it depended on that rim a seat post a front wheel that had no lube in bearings cause even oil has resistance could hear the bearings falling over axel and i had same front wheel while untill i had that rim built i had smoked 20+ back rims and peddled the teeth off 9 front sprockets n miles of chains and the reason i rode that bike was i could throw it down any where and it would be there when i came back cause no one wanted to be seen riding on it . but i never rode a 20 inch bike ever before a month ago and im 55 yrs old funny shit hu its been an experience to say the least cool bike just think it could use some improvement in design relative to power to road over the whole ride not free style per se each design has its pro and con but their all fun to try i learned how to ride a wheelie in a circle by getting on road when a semi truck came by i would lean in behind em on one wheel n it sucks ya on around n in better be shiftin n peddling its the biggest rush i ever caught rideing one and truely fly on a bike n i flew one for 50 of them years and hope you fly yours as long too if you are just rideing one try to fly it youll see its diferent in a cool way is all i can say and keep on peddlin it keeps ya young
