    However, conventional wisdom tells us to diversify across many different stocks, so that just in case a stock fails, your portfolio won’t KO. However, Warren Buffett has once said this “Wide diversification is only required when investors do not understand what they are doing”. If you are confident in a stock, I feel that it is alright to concentrate most of your wealth in a stock.
    I learnt this recently too! Thanks for sharing Kelvin.

    Pretty good investment philosophy. Seriously for people from 20s-40s, getting into innovative growth stock is best way to grow wealth. Even there is risk you can shrug it off easily as long you are frugal. I plan to diversify only after my 50s lol . 80% of my portfolio are just growth companies, Tesla, Square and Ifast. I don't see innovative companies that are rapidly growing market shares as risk, those who aren't innovative are the ones that are risky.

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are from singapore, its better to invest in ireland domiciled version of S&P500, that way u save 15% tax on dividends. So instead of getting S27, it's better to get VUSA. Check this out:
      blog.seedly.sg/how-to-invest-in-ireland-domiciled-sp500-etfs/
      Those ireland domiciled etfs are listed on london stock exchange. DBS is too expensive. Tiger Brokers, TD Ameritrade don't have LSE. Instead use either saxo or interactive brokers for that. Check this video out to decide which u should use: th-cam.com/video/Z_eLeKD4TS4/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Kevin, I have been watching your videos and really gained good knowledge. I would like to ask a few questions. I now have Saxo, IB and DBS Vickers account. For DBS Vickers, it comes with CDP account where the other 2 are custodian accounts. 1) is there any way to send stocks from custodian to CDP account? 2) What' s the best way to keep your stocks? Custodian or CDP? (If I buy stocks with DBS Vickers, the commission fees are much higher than Saxo and IB.) 3) Is there any fees for maintaining the stocks in all 3 of them? If so, how much does it cost?
    Thanks in advance.!

    Looking forward to hear from you.
    Much thanks.

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I'm unsure about which US reits are good. The main reason i haven't gotten US dividend stocks is because there's a 30% withholding tax on dividends.
      Also, I'd be careful about any reits that can offer anything above 6% right now. If a reit can offer such high yields & it's a good reit, people would be buying it, causing stock price to increase, causing dividend yield to decrease. So, any reits above 6% is likely a dividend trap, because people are avoiding it in my opinion.

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting

      Fsmone is cheaper at the start. But once the total asset exceeds $100k, interactive brokers wont have annual fee and becomes the cheapest, that's why i chose it

    Kelvin, I have some money in singlife that I would like to move into dividend stocks. How do I make an comparison on returns (divident yield vs 2.5%) and do you recommend DCA into these dividend stocks?
    Do you actively put your income into these stocks every month or do you just leave them as is.
    Thanks for helping out a newbie!

    • @KelvinLearnsInvesting
      @KelvinLearnsInvesting  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently the dividend stocks are quite flat, if u are looking for passive income, they should go up over the long term. The comparison should be dividend yield + capital appreciation.
      Personally i have converted into growth stocks. Every month i just dollar cost average into them.

    Hi Kelvin, learnt quite a few things from your TH-cam channel, kudos for the good and funny content! Based on the current price of TSLA at 800+, would you recommend to buy at a small drop (says 700-750) and hold ? • @KelvinLearnsInvesting

      Yup, i've actually bought during the dip last week. Tesla growth will be around 10x due to full self driving and more. But take note that company growth doesn't equal stock price growth. So, i'll still buy in, but i won't expect a 10x in stock price because alot of the growth is already priced in
