　　Magnificat的創作源由是為了歌頌主及慶祝聖母頌報節（天使加百利預言處女瑪利亞將生下耶穌的日子）。作者在現代美國黑人教堂的福音創作風格中，鎔鑄聖經內文的元素，以巧妙的爵士風格和聲及鮮明的切分節奏，使福音精神由作曲人的內心，毫無障礙地激發歌者靈魂的共鳴，進而感染聽眾。原作使用小型爵士樂團，本團則以鋼琴為伴奏，清晰的低音重拍及大量的多重音和弦，亦營造出豐富的層次。

KUDOS to the ACCOMPANIST!!!!! This is not an easy piece to play. I know -- I've played it!!! The soloist is pretty good too, with all those high notes he had to sing!! IMPRESSIVE!!

I agree. I sang the song yesterday, an abreviated version, at the La Verne Church of the Brethren (CA), and know how challenging it is. Good job!
