    When and how do you take the eggs off the automatic holders and how do you place them on the mat?
    Do you take out the automatic egg holder mechanism and put a mat inside?

      You take out the egg turner on day 20, lock down day. You don't have to put a mat inside. You just set the eggs on the normal bottom of the incubator. Here is an article I did on my website going through the details of hatching chukar eggs here emergencyprepguy.com/how-to-hatch-and-brood-chukar-partridge-eggs/.

    I started in process of incubation of chukar eggs 🥚 ,now day 8 of incubation but fertility is too low .
    So , what is rate of hatching ?

    • @theemergencyprepguy
      @theemergencyprepguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on your incubator, most people try for at least 50% hatch rate. You can get it higher if you can keep the temperatures and the humidity correct and constant.

    Dear sir ,when the baby chukar lay an egg in which age?

    • @theemergencyprepguy
      @theemergencyprepguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most often they won't lay their first eggs until the spring following when they are hatched. Some people have told me they have gotten them to lay sooner by keeping lights on them for 14 hours per day. But I have not ever tried that.

    • @theemergencyprepguy
      @theemergencyprepguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are welcome. Thank you for the kind words.. They are feathered out enough by 3 to 4 weeks to be out of the brooder depending on the weather.

    Brother do chakur hens incubate their eggs in captivity..?

    • @theemergencyprepguy
      @theemergencyprepguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Yes they will. But it depends on the setup you keep them in. I keep mine in an outdoor quail hutch, and their is no real place for them to sit on their eggs. Most people will tell you that they won't sit on their eggs in captivity but they will if you have a more natural environment for them.

    • @hassanbangash2227
      @hassanbangash2227 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theemergencyprepguy yes exactly many have told me this and I have seen that they lay there eggs in captivity randomly but do not sit on them however in wild they do great with brooding and chicks

    • @theemergencyprepguy
      @theemergencyprepguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hassanbangash2227 Agreed. People raise chukars to be released into the wild which tells me that they will take care of their young if in the right environment.
