I just found you on TH-cam. I think you are so animated and hilarious. I am so impressed with you working without a pattern. I am 77 years old, I can knit and crochet and I have never not used a pattern. I am afraid I would screw it up! But I have been inspired by you to try and create something. You are a delight to watch.
I guess everyone is saying their age- I'm 10 and I love crocheting, knitting, and sewing! Everytime I don't use a pattern I screw up 😅so I always look for a pattern.
I just learned to knit after having crocheted for years I think continental knitting is so much easier and quicker for me. The working yarn is held in the same hand as it is when crocheting.
Same same, I'm more used to it and also it just takes less motions. Instead of having to move my right hand so suddenly I can just swiftly move the yarn along with my left hand. I feel like it's more efficient in general and even people who only knit should try it!
I didn't even know that there were other ways to knit because continental knitting is the technique that I was taught in school and it seems so much quicker (haven't tried anything else tho)
Almost 2AM here in the Philippines and still binge watching your videos since the other day since it is currently our academic break. 💞 Your videos really make me forget about all the stress and pressure that the online learning is giving me. Thank you for making us happy💖
The festiveness of Jenna getting a Christmas tree was quickly dampened when she punished that new yarn basket she just bought by putting it in the corner.
This is a very clear demonstration of intarsia. Well done! I love my Knitter’s Pride Ginger needles (the smaller ones you used on the ribbing). The points and smoothness work for almost every yarn.
It's really great to see you improve from the first video to this one. I love that you aren't scared to try techniques and just go with it. As a pro knitter here are a few things I would try: 1- knit your sleeves in the round now that you have circular needles. It's so much faster and you can try them on as you go. 2- most knitters never tie knots with their ends, just weave the ends in at the end (which you already have to do) and it will close de gap. Hope that helps!
Your next step should be learning how to knit in the round, game changing, you're gonna love it, trust me on this one 😉 AND THE SWEATER TURNED OUT AMAZING 😍😍😍😍
This is what I wanted to say. She did a great job but watching her use circulars and not knit circular was stressing me out. So much unnecessary purling!
I've been knitting for about 10 years, and have only done sweaters in the round until recently. Upon trying knitting a sweater in pieces and seaming, I have found that the sweater lays and drapes better over the shoulders than with the many patterns by many knitwear designers for in-the-round sweaters-- With seamed sweaters, I seem to have no more problems with strange fit around shoulders, upper chest and underarms-- no need for alterations to every sweater pattern to get these areas to fit less awkwardly!
Yay, Dear Jenna, Im so happy I found you and your fur babies Jack and Benson on the Tube.... Im usually following XO Macenna and Drew for their amazing DIY projects. I came across you by sheer accident and just love your tutorials. I love how you keep it real, wee wee real !!! I am a beginner and so im just watching your stuff whilst practicing stitches and making my first beanie. Im totally obsessed with your flower dress, bet thats the only one like it !!! I'd just like to say that since ive been binging your tutorials my mental health has improved so much. Thank you Friend xxxx keep em coming ill be taking notes and watching out for your hilarious faux pars !!!! Love from Annie in Spain
I love watching you knit. I have never knitted in my entire life. But I kinda want to start now. But I have zero money to buy the stuff you need😔 so I am gonna keep watching you to fulfill my craving lol
I call my cat Velcro because she is always stuck to me and I cherish it! 😻 My last cat was like her but I would get frustrated, after he passed I missed the constant love immensely!
Nice job. Just the tip when I do my knitting I always drag the next color along to the next block and then you don't have strings hanging down. I hope that makes sense
I came across this video & your first sweater and it honestly inspired me. Your personality and just going with the flow✨ I’m 26 and knit only hats and blankets because I’m scared but this inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and attempt keep it up girl lots of love from nyc 🤞🏾
Jenna! 🙂 That looks really good, I love it. ❤️ Okay, I dont know if someone else has mentioned it but the neck style is called a crew neck. In the UK its commonly called the neckband and the bottom of the sleeves are the cuff. Im really impressed how good it looks and how close the green colour match is on the sleeves.🙂 I have definitely learned something from your tutorial. The invisible stitching is a fab idea 💡 👌 When you want to tie off on the wrong side, I find it quicker with a crochet hook and less fiddley to do. Your videos always make me smile and cheer me up! Your recent crocheted bikini looked so cool. Well done! Looking forward to seeing more from you. xxx🥰🙂🥰
As a knitter, you need to learn how to join in the round. It is so easy and it makes all of the projects so much easier. For starters, you could do this whole project seamless and purl-less (other than the ribbing). When you picked up for the neckband it would just perfectly become a circle, no seaming necessary. It will make your knitting experience so much better. Also, my tip for sleeves is to seam the front to the back, both along the shoulders and the sides, and then pick up for the sleeves (like you did with the neck) and knit them down (of course in the round). If any of this confuses you I really recommend following a pattern. There are so many free ones on ravelry that will tell you everything to do to make the process smoother. The sweater is great without a pattern, but honestly, I recommend it. It will save you from experiencing all the ways something can go wrong. One note- with intarsia (the process of having large blocks of color, rather than traditional stranded colorwork) will not work well in the round. But other than that, everything is easier in the round.
I love your videos! I love that this is your learning process. I have also crocheted many years and just discovered I love knitting! Still basic learning, but these sweaters you make give me hope of myself learning as well. Thank you for sharing your process and learning as you go. God bless.
Вауууу это просто шикарно , сразу такое желание связать , но боюсь мне будет сложно перейти от крючка к спицам , спасибо это прелестно ,это как будто из Шрека 😄😄♥️
Such a cute sweater. I want to make one too but the problem I have with knitting is it feels like forever and so does sewing everything up together. I just don't have patience. I like how you kept it simple.
I love this jumper so much! 💚 I enjoying your little artist drawing too 😂 you have the best style girl!! Im definitely going to make one of these for myself.
Jenna, this sweater turned out absolutely amazing!😍 I love your videos, they always inspire me. Thank for your positive energy and crativeness, you made my day🥰
AAH! I've been dying to have a Demon Slayer (an anime) cardigan and it's black and jade green checkers. You've totally inspired me to make it myself! Your sweater turned out so well!

Loved this Jenna. Do you know if it was 'chunky' / super chunky yarn ???
Yes, I'm so glad I'm not the only one afraid/cearful over cutting nice meterial or wool... Even paper some times... 🤔😅
Do you think you will try a raglan knit? You would have to follow a pattern, but I think it would be a fun project!
Awesome job! So cute. Love those colors too.
I crochet ,and knit but no a professional I am just like u....good job
I looove your energy Jenna 💗😊
You did a great job!! It's so cute!!
Tip for avoiding tangles when knitting intarsia: use a colander to keep the strands separate!
a colander? hmmm. I only crochet, I might start knitting but it looks so intimidating haha

It actually wouldn't work for intarsia because you have to twist yarns around each other at every color change.
