if i knew what i was talking about i would say you are well improved from previous videos... funny, cuz ive been thinking recently about how Sifu told me years ago that wc is a dance, and here i find this. thank you so much, glad to know you through this medium. =)
haha, that makes me very happy to hear man. Keep going and if wanna delve deeper you should also check out our online school cause the vids there are so much more detailed, systemized etc. 👊🏼
Awesome explanation about Chi Sau, I don't have a partner regularly to practice Chi Sau. Is there an alernative practice on practicing the principles given in this video?
Awesome Sifu Nima! Bit off the subject, but in the chum kiu does that teach you to transfer weight from one foot to the other ...so you could be 20/80, 40/60 or whatever ...and still deliver the right power as the body shifts to the discretion of the situation....or do you maintain 50/50 in the feet and body...if your turning from your center of mass the body follows 50/50 with the limbs ....or am I saying the shift in the feet can be an extra component as long as you turn from your centre then transfer...what ever weight to whatever feet....ps. Can you put the centre of mass into a limb I was thinking the other day , probably very advanced if you can...thanks bro..
Hey man, the weight in the legs naturally shift and we certainly don't try to consciously control the shift. The reason it shift naturally is as a byproduct of retaining the upright and aligned spine, and open condition in all joints (particularly the spine) and the way the human skeleton is made up. So we should just think about turning from the spine as the axis. Later, when we start to feel our center, we will be able to use the natural shift to our advantage to place the mass through the bridges (arms) into the target. And yeah this is a very advanced level to do genuinely. I'm still working it myself :)
Mindful Wing Chun that clears a lot up thank you, and to make sure I’m on the right track in some way or form. that’s some advanced stuff alright getting that mass to turn then connecting it to the bridging movement you wish to execute..as said in the 3rd form about transferring mass (weight?) to the arms/legs/hands is this developed by standing cultivation of the spine plus the triangulation of letting the body relax and release forward so to speak..if you get it you might be able to transfer the centre mass to arm or the hand itself, if you release those joints properly that is -the biggest thing that has intrigued me in WC is bil gee and the transfer too the fingertips...I heard Ip Man had strong hands and fingers, I wondered if this was by conditioning or by the transfer of mass, which is a similar to sigung chu Shong tins method or totally different, or a template to ip Mans method which sigung built from..your time is appreciated!
Because it enables us to tap into out ligaments and connective tissues which produce more power than pure brute force. That is the reason whymother's have lifted up cars when their babies were underneath it. they tapped into this type of power of the joints. Also, think about how a cat can survive when jumping our of a window, because they are relaxed.
Hey, I dont know of any schools there that I recommend but will be sure to let you know if I find out. Our online school will be up before the end of this year so hopefully that'll help with your training and finding like minded training partners in your area :)
Yes i jump in there and spar with my Snr. Studetns every now and then. But to be honest I haven't sparred in the last 6months due to an ankle injury but will get back into it soon once the Covid19 is over. They haven't really challenge me to a fight though (yet)! :)
I've had no amature boxing matches. I'm not a boxer. I've had my fair share of fighting experience on the streets in Sydney and during my years of bouncing
Just a pointer: if my arm were on top of your arm, I'd use my elbow to control the pressure and direction of pressure and you wouldn't be able to lift it. Period. If you can lift a Bong then the person on your arm doesn't understand the principles well.
@@MindfulWingChun - Agreed, but at a certain level of experience (understanding), the other person wouldn't allow their partner to lift the bong. Tough one to back up though. I appreciate that.
Teach the proper posture in the forms and all of the drills you're dragging on this way too long I hope it's just for the video because even the class setting you should move along to the next training drill. Even if it's private lessons this is supposed to be advanced when the student needs to learn the hard way way too much of this going on in Wing Chun everybody wants to learn everything in one year I learned all three empty hand forms and took four years before I even touch the wooden dummy take your time it's a lifestyle but don't drag on
Yeah it's a video so needs to give context and info. This was the first time I had touched hands with this person. Was in a seminar in Korea and he was from a different lineage and so had to spend time to explain the concept. So perhaps I would've done the same even if it wasn't for a video given this situation
Yes, such a good teacher.
Shows you the proper way, points out your problem areas, and helps you to correct them.
Thank you 😊
Knowing how to not use your shoulder is key. Using my shoulder was my greatest mistake in chi sau for a very long time
Yeah me too.
Sigh Nima's big heart is very inspiring!
haha, many thanks for the kindness
Great Sifu 🙏💐

Thank you for the lesson
Thank you for your comment. glad you enjoyed it

Yes, the wooden Dummy is a great tool for that 👍👍

Hahaha, decoration or demonstration?

Awesome stuff!
cheers!!
i love your video. thank you so much for sharing.
cheers Jeremy :)
If u have the ability to control the person internally, then is the bong sau and the other physical arm structures of Wing Chun become less necessary?
yes, correct!! This is much easier said than done though :)
yes sir, thanks for the reply.
Love this. So good!
thanks man
In the works bro :)
nice
cheers
cool
tnx
Can we ask how many amiture or pro boxing matches have U had.
Nintendo Switch count? :)
How comes relaxation and relief have much more power than muscular force?
Because it enables us to tap into out ligaments and connective tissues which produce more power than pure brute force. That is the reason whymother's have lifted up cars when their babies were underneath it. they tapped into this type of power of the joints. Im looking for a Wing Chun class in san diego

You should do jiujitsu
tuck chin! :-)
:)
do you ever accept real fight/ spar requests from your student?
Yes i jump in there and spar with my Snr. Studetns every now and then. But to be honest I haven't sparred in the last 6months due to an ankle injury but will get back into it soon once the Covid19 is over. They haven't really challenge me to a fight though (yet)! :)
But really no disrespectful but how many amiture or pro boxing matches have U had.
I've had no amature boxing matches. I'm not a boxer. I've had my fair share of fighting experience on the streets in Sydney and during my years of bouncing
Real wing Chun. Carnt say nothing for most of the others around Australia teaching none WC.
Cheers mate. Where are you located in Oz. I've got a couple of mates there who I could refer you too if you're interested

it really depends on the skill level of the 2 people who are in contact.
A Bong done properly, would unbalance the person or hit through
