  • After over two years of building phase two of the Dawlish sea wall, it's now very near to completion. This week we hit an incredible milestone when the heavy excavators were removed from the site.
I spent three days filming while KMS Terramare was removing the excavators. The last time I saw Julian was when he delivered them.

Neil Thanks mate. Beautifully recorded, masterly edited with just the right balance of music to create the dramatic effect. Thanks for the wonderful experience of seeing this seawall being created from a distant land. The team at Bam Nuttal have done Dawlish proud. My thanks too to Jack for his wonderful description of the construction events as they took place.

Just as extraordinary as the Seawall, itself, has been the access and information that the Updates have given us!! For people who enjoy engineering, trains, and England, the Updates have been an absolute treat!! Something for the eyes as well as the mind.

So many people around the world have been enjoying your videos Neil. We living in Britain are fortunate to visit Dawlish if we so wish and I feel for the lady in Australia who will probably never be able to walk the sea wall.
Nice touch to see an HST arrive just as the last piece of wall dropped into place. All the best from High Peak to yourself and Jack. It will be back to the weekly walks soon hopefully. 😊
