Dawlish Sea Wall Upgrade - How They Get the Machinery onto the Beach

  • This months sea wall update is slightly different to our usual walk along the wall as Jack Brookes from Bam Nuttall has arranged for us to join Captain Killick onboard the MTS Terramare.
Captain Killick shows us how they transport a 70-tonne excavator on a landing craft that can only support 50 tonnes. These machines can't be delivered by road due to the low height of the viaduct in Dawlish.
MTS have been delivering plant machinery for the Dawlish sea wall upgrade since Phase One along Marine Parade.

Where did the boat load the excavator? Looks like Teignmouth. Really enjoy watching the progress and look forward to walking from the Warren to Dawlish.

nice video but the music I way to loud in comparison to the Narrator it's a pain literally when the music starts and a nuance having to turn the volume back down and potentially missing the narration! all video editors Please take note!
