Its name was Turkish, but it was Greek food. You're very funny. If your name was Eleni Kostas, would you be Turkish? Do you have a brain in your head? Imam Baildi food is not the only one .... By taking our songs and dishes that don't stop counting, you present them as Greek culture.Everyone knows that, too. You're cheating on yourself, but you can't cheat on anyone else.
Dearest Yakup. As the Chef Syndicate we are "Cooking for curious people!!!". That statement, does not contain any discrimination of colour, race or religion. We certainly, do not pass dishes as "purely Greek Culture" and certainly are not into playing political games with people around the globe. As we strongly believe, "Good food Connects Us" and unfortunately politics does the exact opposite. If you don't already know, both cultures share a lot of things apart from recipes. It is not a big secret that a lot of Turkish people LIVED in Greece as a lot of Greek people LIVED in Smyrna (Izmir), Constantinople (Instabul), Alatsata (Alaçatı, where great granndparents are from) and so on. As already stated in the recipe page (welcomed to visit since the link is in the description), Imam Baildi as many other recipes are inherited by Ottomans since for 400 years, Greece was under the Ottoman rule. So as far as we are concerned we certainly do not cheat on anyone.
