I have been a fan of your fishing videos for a long time, and they have pretty much taught me how to fish. so i would just like to say a big thank you, and keep doing what you do best! Jack
What a beautiful Porbeagle, and i love that you tag and release them. I love all your shows no matter if it's roach fishing or shark fishing. I love it all and thank you for all those tips and tricks. Tight lines, and the ultimate respect from Denmark
Inspiring. Sadly I will never probably have the chance of doing this kind of fishing. I went tope fishing once off the west coast of Ireland when I was a lad. Thanks for a great video.
Great movie. I have apps on the phone "What Fish? UK" is shown there that you can catch Bonito Tuna, Blue Fin and Swordfish and Almaco Jack. I'm curious if you choose August ever for those species, and you show how they can be caught. Thank you for the great videos.
330am in florida and im supposed to be going out to catch the incoming tide to film me own show and I cant leave because I enjoy fishing with Graeme too much 😊🤙...
hi mate. 2 days ago there was a 23 stone porbeagle shark caught by millford haven by one of the charter boats. get across the 7 bridge mate lol take it easy
Piotrek Czyński Its called a Calstar.West coast of USA I believe.50lb class, though double rated.5ft 6inch long. I should have bought the 6 foot.I have the 50/130(80lb class) and have had a shark on standup in excess of 1000lbs with it.
TAFishing haha yeah. Na myn works great and it is cool but it's always nice to use the latest gear ( if I can afford it ) I've caught big fish on my tld 25. Tight lines
I use 6/0 senators myself hooked possible skate couldn't turn handle drag I'd also annoying lever is better but I also use a tld 30a. much better to use drag star drag ( which a senator useses) is hard to change mid fight u have to hold reel handle and turn the knob slowly while the fish Is on
Tyler Hewson Probably Calstar 30/80lb standup stick,5ft 6 inch long,Shimano TLD 25 (One of the original models, not the newer ones),takes I guess about 300 of 50lb line ? My favoured line is Ande Premium in pink for big fish.
Can I say if it wasn't for you guys id know nuffin , because of you guys ive caught 120 mackerel in 2 weeks, ok you didn't tell me where to fish or when to go but your tips are great. Sir i salute you i am your karate kid and you my miagee (yeah spelt wrong lol i aint Chinese) lol awesome you lot love it. Can i go fishing with you pleaseeeeeee x
NICE fish! What a totally awesome catch!!!! Do you have any plans on coming to B.C greame? You should come here !! So many things to see and catch! Come to my home town, The salmon capitol of the world, Campbell River b.c.
Yep,been there. In our vintage films section.Sturgeon ,Springs,DV's,Chums,Coho. All in there.Great place, great people, and outlandish fishing.Stayed mostly at Chilliwack, fished Vedder,Fraser, and up at Hope. Kept thinking I would expect Rambo to come down the street in Hope !! I've got a fishing knife, but not quite as big as his.
You need to check out the different ways on the web. Look up old whaling factories etc as used to boil the liver down to make lamp oil. Or better, try your local library for the same type of books.
Yes, they do catch fish in the River Mersey, bit you need to contact either a charter boat, or join a sea angling club for that area. The more information you can get, the better your chances of success.
Graeme Do you think if you drifted further off shore you'd catch blue sharks as well? Also is anchoring any good for porbeagles? Great Vid's by the way!
what sort of rod would you recommend for a tld 25 or 30 for sharks. that are still in production. Also would you recomend using mono backing to 50lb braid to a 100lb leader or straight mono
A little while ago I denigrated Graham's claim of being a shark expert as a 'likeable and entertaining berk who catches a lot of dogfish'. Today I am making a heartfelt apology. Graham, you are indeed a shark man.
I never knew I was even denigrated and can barely spell it,but I have many who fire off opinions who have probably never met me or have any idea how long I have been fishing etc. Thank you for the apology,I assure you it is exceedingly rare to find anyone who makes an apology...of any kind..so thanks for that. I have long had an association with sharks, written a book on them, countless fishing articles in various magazines on sharks, caught so many shark species I can barely recall them all,had 8 over 1000lbs,inc a grander on standup tackle, largest shark 1500lbs,caught them from the shore to 150lbs ,we even have a film up in the vintage section where I take out a rental boat with my family and get a 500lb Hammerhead . I've had Bulls,Tigers,Blacktips,Lemons,Twenty Makos, obviously a few thousand Blues ,thresher,Galapagos..etc etc....but you are right, like many ordinary anglers I also catch Dogfish. I have no trouble with being called a Berk I'm thick skinned...Thanks again for taking the trouble to apologise, and stay safe.
Cant get bran, could I use blended porridge oats instead? Or something else? Seriously thinking about building up the courage, to build up further courage to target blues. You guys have covered tackle perfectly, any chance of using the boat drifting and what not video.
+TAFishing Thanks for the reply is ''all bran'' the same as horse feed bran? Ill have a gander see if I can find some proper bran. Dad used to buy it when he was a kid for ground bait fishing with a tank ariel and 2 and 6 worth of mono, he's old as!
just did a bit of research on british shortfin makos they come quite close to shore and they are the most aggressive shark in the british waters still would be awesome to see one though i had no idea that we had threshers blue and mako sharks up until today thank you non of my family and friends new eather i know we had huge prehistoric sharks in british waters several million years ago like the 16 meter long megalodon and the 12 meter long otodus and the biggest mako to have ever lived isurus hastilis the 9 meter long whale and turtle eating mako
hey boys have you ever looked into blood... like asking your butcher for some? if its true sharks can smell blood from miles away, surely it could only help? cheers Pat in Chamonix France
Yes ,I have used blood before, but its a bit of hassle as you need to add an anti-coagulant to prevent it clotting. Never did any better with it than the usual mashed fish,in fact I think mashed fish is better. I wouldn't bother with it again myself..Hope that helps.
If the shark is too big to pull into the boat, some people attempt to use a hook remover but more often than not Ive heard of people keeping bolt cutters on their boat to cut the hook as close to the shark's jaw as possible
+Alfred Chong the Angler No I don't use Ugly sticks on those sharks.Mostly Calstars..But I have a broken 12lb stick (Ugly)that is still haulin butt on plenty of big fish.Good blanks, and tough .
You are complete fishing nutters landing big sharks and no clip off in that boat! Get a stretcher net and roll shark onto back if you can it will sleep.
i could tell from you war paint white stripes, you meant buisness. i cant understand why no tv channels have approached you to make a fishing series for them, propably because you would do an entire production team of 30 - 40 discovery channel out of a job
Yep,I have made many films on my own...don't even need the gravy train of all the film crew..its a bit of raw filming, but plenty of people seem to like it.
jordybeau49 No, it's a Porbeagle. Skip on to 24:21. You see the diagnostic white markings at the back of the dorsal fin. Makos have the more typical blue/grey base of the dorsal.
What a gem, once again! How you chaps manage to consistently pull out the biggest fish and get it all on film is astounding!! :)
All in a day's work
I have been a fan of your fishing videos for a long time, and they have pretty much taught me how to fish. so i would just like to say a big thank you, and keep doing what you do best! Jack
Thanks Graeme and Wayne top class film. Great inspiration TAFishing got me back in to fishing after 30 years. Thanks guys

Thanks for a great video.

hi mate. 2 days ago there was a 23 stone porbeagle shark caught by millford haven by one of the charter boats. get across the 7 bridge mate lol take it easy
Wow what a great video and fish
thanks really enjoyed this vid
That was incredible footage if not just a bit mental, that shark was epic, amazing fight and you definitely need a bigger boat! lol
And swimming with bow legged women?
Hello Mr. Pullen. What manufacturers crafted the rods with roller guides? What are the specs of those you used for your shark fishing?
Piotrek Czyński Its called a Calstar.West coast of USA I believe.50lb class, though double rated.5ft 6inch long. I should have bought the 6 foot.I have the 50/130(80lb class) and have had a shark on standup in excess of 1000lbs with it.
this video is totally awesome
I've got a yellow kayak. You got me scared now lmao. Grear video as always
YUM-YUM YELLOW !!!
good job guys
What a superb vid well what can I say gobsmacking.
hi I'm a big fan, I am going fishing in august for makarel but what bait.... are you Welsh?
Graham please can you tell me how to make your special oil
great video for shark fish
I use a tld 25 aswell but you really do need to upgrade the reels. Maybe even senators but cool video mate
But I've had several fish over 500 on them ? Including Hammerheads ? No need to upgrade.Maybe a service every 25 years wouldn't go amiss.
TAFishing haha yeah. Na myn works great and it is cool but it's always nice to use the latest gear ( if I can afford it ) I've caught big fish on my tld 25. Tight lines

You guys are way to defensive.. Seems anyone who tries to tell Graeme anything gets attacked. When you respond theres always no response back!!!
Good job
What is the process of release? Like how do you unhook that?
We use what is called a T-bar. About 18 inches long with a curved end and a "V" cut in a flattened tip so the hook can be pushed out .
What is the gear you are using, what line # and how much can fit on the reel you have?
Tyler Hewson Probably Calstar 30/80lb standup stick,5ft 6 inch long,Shimano TLD 25 (One of the original models, not the newer ones),takes I guess about 300 of 50lb line ? My favoured line is Ande Premium in pink for big fish.
what was that to the left at 13:56?
A Boat probably.
Can I say if it wasn't for you guys id know nuffin , because of you guys ive caught 120 mackerel in 2 weeks, ok you didn't tell me where to fish or when to go but your tips are great. lol,
good luck this season
Your the best at catching fish I never catch fish
Hi guys fab vid how would I go about making my own fish oil
You need to check out the different ways on the web. Look up old whaling factories etc as used to boil the liver down to make lamp oil. Or better, try your local library for the same type of books.
Ok thank you guys keep the fab vids coming love watching them
where do you get those tags? Ive been trying to get some when im able to get out.
the tag store
What a man
I never see or hear people say that they have fished on the River Mersey, is it possible and if so what fish can you catch?
Yes, they do catch fish in the River Mersey, bit you need to contact either a charter boat, or join a sea angling club for that area. The more information you can get, the better your chances of success.
@@TAFishing Great Song!! LOL
What do you call lite line?
Graeme Do you think if you drifted further off shore you'd catch blue sharks as well?
Also is anchoring any good for porbeagles?
Great Vid's by the way!
Yes, and yes. We do both. Especially Porbeagles at anchor, generally best time is either side of slack water as the chum gores down deeper.
What year of manufacture is your boat?... thanks
About 8/9 years old ?
Had it about 9 years
You should put in a pic of one of ur sharks for the sea angler magazine
Not much point.I wrote for fishing magazines for decades, but now everyone watches TH-cam...way bigger audience.
Fantastic
Could you use live mackerel as bait?
Yes.
Amazing, what a huge shark!!
what pound main line do you use
+Tom Blench 50lb as a general rule.
Cracking shark !
what sort of rod would you recommend for a tld 25 or 30 for sharks. that are still in production. Also would you recomend using mono backing to 50lb braid to a 100lb leader or straight mono

A little while ago I denigrated Graham's claim of being a shark expert as a 'likeable and entertaining berk who catches a lot of dogfish'. Today I am making a heartfelt apology. Graham, you are indeed a shark man.

i thought you was going in for sure! amazing catch mate. can i ask how do u know the exact weight or was it just an estimation? FB Gaz short.
Is it hard to stay in the hoat, I would imagine the shark could just drag you right in
Impressive
What rod and Reel was that
+kaped262 Probably a 30 year old TLD25 and a Calstar standup rod.5ft 6 inch long,with rollers.
The old man and the sea
Cant get bran, could I use blended porridge oats instead? Or something else? Seriously thinking about building up the courage, to build up further courage to target blues. You guys have covered tackle perfectly, any chance of using the boat drifting and what not video.
+dav woo No oats will just stick together. You want something that breaks up.Sand can be good,it sinks a lot deeper, but I have used it.
+TAFishing Thanks for the reply is ''all bran'' the same as horse feed bran? Ill have a gander see if I can find some proper bran. Dad used to buy it when he was a kid for ground bait fishing with a tank ariel and 2 and 6 worth of mono, he's old as!
how much does it cost to have a boat like yours made
I love tis Movie
can you go out and try and catch a shortfin mako they live in british waters
Have had 20 Mako, but never from British waters .I will give it a go this summer.
just did a bit of research on british shortfin makos they come quite close to shore and they are the most aggressive shark in the british waters still would be awesome to see one though i had no idea that we had threshers blue and mako sharks up until today thank you non of my family and friends new eather i know we had huge prehistoric sharks in british waters several million years ago like the 16 meter long megalodon and the 12 meter long otodus and the biggest mako to have ever lived isurus hastilis the 9 meter long whale and turtle eating mako
what type of boat is your boat
+James Barrowcliff 17 foot Wilson Flyer.Cathedral hull.60 hp Yamaha outboard.
Thanks
I just got a tld 30 a
Good
oh my gosh
Cool
how do u unhook something like that
+Andrew scalard A special tool called a "T" bar.It is about 18 inches long,made of steel.
I would use bolt cutters much more safe at end of day your safety comes first
Gonna need a bigger boat.
Ignore what jealous people think I believe you hold the record
hey boys have you ever looked into blood... like asking your butcher for some? if its true sharks can smell blood from miles away, surely it could only help? cheers Pat in Chamonix France

What do they do to remove the hook?
I have a custom made disgorger called a T-bar for removing shark hooks. About 18 inches long.
thanks i always wondered how do you remove them, without losing your hand!
Good question often thought how they removed the hooks
If the shark is too big to pull into the boat, some people attempt to use a hook remover but more often than not Ive heard of people keeping bolt cutters on their boat to cut the hook as close to the shark's jaw as possible
I’ll take in Sam Barrington’s challenge
Sharks are such beautiful animals. It's a shame that ignorant people kill them all the time for absolutely no reason.
@sav 97 what you talking about idiot?
Lightning cant just strike the same place twice but multiple times
hi,are you using an ugly stick to catch the first shark.
+Alfred Chong the Angler No I don't use Ugly sticks on those sharks.Mostly Calstars..But I have a broken 12lb stick (Ugly)that is still haulin butt on plenty of big fish.Good blanks, and tough .
Oh,ok,so are those barrett rods than
+Alfred Chong the Angler No,In the last comment,I said I use Calstars ?They are West Coast of States rods.
Oh ,ok
What's your biggest fish?
1,540lbs
5ft barracuda
a guy who worked on a golf course got hit 7 times by lightning/ true
Wer gonna need a bigger boat
You are complete fishing nutters landing big sharks and no clip off in that boat!
Get a stretcher net and roll shark onto back if you can it will sleep.
thats BIg
i could tell from you war paint white stripes, you meant buisness.

thanks for the reply, and waynes buttock clenching moment on the roof might have saved hes life
isn't it a mako? If its a white its a baby.
+Scott Mcdonagh No,its a Porbeagle,not a Mako.
TAFishing .
TAFishing no. its a mako. sharp nose.
jordybeau49 No, it's a Porbeagle. Skip on to 24:21. You see the diagnostic white markings at the back of the dorsal fin. Makos have the more typical blue/grey base of the dorsal.
I love you
they talk alot
