TRUESONIC TS3 FROM ALTO PROFESSIONAL: EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED.
The new Alto Professional Truesonic TS3 Series does everything you demand in a no-compromise family of professional loudspeakers. These speakers solve every performance and installation challenge you have. They are high-performance in every sense: Their new transducers and amplifiers enable them to play extremely loud and clear, without compromise or restriction. And they are “high-performance” from a concept and manufacturing standpoint-we made sure that every aspect of their design outperformed what it had to do. The end result are loudspeakers that achieve a level of excellence and refinement that defies expectations. Defies your expectations.
There are four models in the new TS3 range: The TS308, TS310, TS312 and TS315, with 8-10-12- and 15-inch woofers respectively. The range shares a new 2000-watt peak (1000-watt continuous) amplifier.
These models boast all-new low-frequency drivers, designed to play louder and handle more power than their already-impressive predecessors, the wildly-successful TS2 Series. They also have a new horn-loaded high-frequency driver. This impressive transducer has a brand-new heat sink design that provides exceptional heat dissipation for impressive power-handling, even at all-night-long concert levels. Because these new drivers can safely handle the additional power, the TS3’s take full advantage of the increased wattage and will play at higher SPLs with lower distortion.
We’ve even made the TS3’s easier to use, with an updated control panel and clearer control indications and detents that make for a faster, more precise setup. 2000 watts of bi-amplified power, newly-designed drivers and easier, more satisfying controls and setup-the new TS3 range doesn’t merely meet your requirements. It makes you re-think what’s possible.

I just got a pair of Alto TS315 to use with my digital keyboards. I chose the 15" because of the stated Frequency Response and Freq. Range without needing or wanting a sub. Bigger and heavier than I expected, even though I read the specs several times. :)
I run my keys into a mixer then into the Altos. Plenty of headroom, but without the sub or limiter I'm concerned about the tweeter due to the harmonic overtones, and the low bass.
Not my first Altos; I've owned a pair of TS210 and one TS212S for years, I use for band practice and for my electronic computer rig; and they work great.
Very satisfied with the quality at the price.

I know you have probably gotten this question before, but I'm thinking of buying either the TS315 or the Thump 15A. I know that the TS315 plays louder which quite important for me but it seems like the Thump 15A has better bass. Do you think the extra bass in the 15A is that noticeably better or do you think I'll be better off with the louder TS315 (I listen to bass heavy music)

Alto TS3 Like Most power speakers have 2 Amps run inside the Speaker 650W for the Woofer and 350w for the tweeter. the Mackie Thump and EV ZLX both have the 550W/100w setup and you can hear that 100w in the Alto.

Alto TS315: 2000 watts (peak, 1300 LF + 700 HF), 1000 watts (continuous, 650 LF + 350 HF), this means that it has 500W RMS power.
      Kind regards

    • @s.s.productions
      @s.s.productions 4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@expertisland With all due respect to the work you do and the value you bring to us, I strongly disagree with your statement. Each doubling of the power (from 100W to 200, 200-400, etc) increases the loudness by 3db. To have a sense of double the loudness it's commonly agreed that you need 9 to 10db more.
In your comment you are talking of increase from 550 to 650W which is 1.18x more powerful, thus if every other component was the same, the increase in db would be far less than 3db (and even further less than hearing it as 2x as loud).

I’d like to see these connected to watt meters. You can get a digital device pretty cheap that will tell you how many watts are going through the power line to them. Crank them up, super loud and as much bass as you can, maybe put in ear plugs, and see how many watts they are doing. Or just compare the watts at similar volumes. I’d also like to see the amps opened up and compared, for example transformer size.

What type of music are you playing because 200 people is a larger group for just 2 TS312 are you planning on adding Subs?

expert island more on disco music,, and maybe not for subwoofer, but i change my mind to get ts315 instead of 12, do u think 15 is enough for let say 150 to 200 people?

@@zefMusic if you us a mixer or controller 2 of the TS315 great way to start. if you run just of a laptop (spotify) then the EON615 or ZLX15P so you can EQ the speakers directly

Alto TS315: 2000 watts (peak, 1300 LF + 700 HF), 1000 watts (continuous, 650 LF + 350 HF), this means that it has 500W RMS.
    Kind regards

With a 20 watt tweeter and a 100 watt woofer.

I am not sure I would trust the "audio expertise" of someone who presents a video by talking to the camera mic from the other end of the room.

Hello undercrackers56, I used a DSLR PMD-602A Audio interface with an Audio Scope SG-5B Microphone both From Marantz and since this Video I have Upgrade to an MPM-3000 Studio Mic Find it picks up the sound of the room better plus a wireless Body Pack so you can hear me better from the back. Always trying to Make it Better. Thanks for the Comment.

    They sound harsh and disgusting.

Sound for bleeding ears, all the cheap TS series. To me it seems because of the extremely cheap drivers, especially the horrible horn driver. Go for some not much more expensive db Opera, Electro Voice ZLX or Yamaha DBR
