Great Vlog really enjoyed. We are cruising on virtuosa next month for the first time , usually p&o customer. Can I ask your advice please ? Is your cruise account charged in pounds or euros ?I have heard different things. I know gratuities are included but are you charged a service charge for each drinks purchase ? Thanks for your help.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to comment and for your kind words. To answer your questions, our onboard account was £'s and we weren't charged a service charge for drinks- although when we were researching, it did seem like some were and some weren't. Sorry I can't be of more help, Darren
Thanks Darren much appreciated for the info. After 20+ P&O cruises bit apprehensive for Virtuosa trip it looks very different , going to help out with Grandkids on there holidays 😂 . Keep up the Vlogging !!!
@@BarryFinch-nx7ku Hi again Barry, I am yet to sail with P&O, but we know a few people who have sailed on both lines and as you say, they are different! We like to try different lines as we find it exciting to see just what those differences are but one big advantage you should have is that you are an experienced cruiser (there are a few ‘weird’ things that crop up when sailing with MSC). Another one is that the Virtuosa is a ship aimed at families cruising together, so that should work for you. One top tip would be to try and plan your days a bit before you get on as as soon as you board you will need to book into shows, restaurants etc as they cannot be done on the app beforehand. Our next journey is in November sailing from Singapore to India via Malaysia, Thailand and Sri Lanka- so we should have plenty of video vlogs on that one! Darren
Depends on what you want from a cruise It’s a party ship 6000 on board but that was no problem. Plenty of room at the Buffet as seating and food on both port and starboard. Food not a patch on NCL and Princess, service slow in main restaurants As only Scottish and Irish school holidays so not overran by kids. During school holidays it’s 1200 of them let loose while their parents do their thing Good luck you’ll need it Staff were very good couldn’t fault them in any way apart from the Maitre d in restaurant who wasn’t particularly interested to learn that we had 2 large bones in the bowl of oxtail soup. Suppose it makes a change from There’s a fly in my soup Don’t think we’d bother again
@@DerekMoncur Hi Derek and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on the Virtuosa. You sum it up pretty well, it's definitely a ship to avoid during school holidays if you don't have kids. Thanks again, Darren
Have you cruised on the MSC Virtuosa? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
