Cars 3 is actually my favorite of the trilogy! It's actually deep, not something you think you will say about a film featuring talking cars. Plus McQueen’s crash hits hard, especially to those who grew up with the original film. I also love the fact that they made it about racing again after the first two didn’t really focus on it that much.

What suprises me the most till this day is how many people don't understand this movie and it's point
Cars 1 was about a rookie who needed to learn an important lesson
Cars 2 .... well there isn't really a big point to McQueen career. But here McQueen is in his prime
Cars 3 is about passing the tourch to next generation and guiding them.
Many people call this movie woke because a woman replaced McQueen by the end (it's stupid I Know) they blame feminism even to this day for it.
But that's not the point of the movie.
McQueen during his training realises Cruise is simply faster car and he knows it that this is his last race and he'll most likely loose even if he pulled all the tricks he learned. That's the harsh reality that new generation will one day surpass you so the best you can do is to guide them. In fact McQueen in this movie faces his younger self. Storm is like rookie McQueen. Young and arogant.
People even asked why McQueen didn't get a new engine or something like that. Bug that would ruin the message. We're ment to look at these cars as human being so McQueen getting new engine or something similar would be like McQueen took just steroids to win in a cheap way.
Keep the facts rolling
When I saw the teaser for this movie, I was in shock. Like, they made this more serious than the first two movies in every way. With that said, it is nice seeing the cast back together, and even the plot of Lightning McQueen think about retirement is something deep to dive into. This was a pretty cool way to wrap up this trilogy.

Lightning's crash felt like my entire childhood taking a brutal wake-up. My jaw dropped when I saw that in the trailer.

Say what you will about Disney, but taking one of their most marketable characters ever and putting him through a horrible crash and threatening to take away the thing that makes him marketable was a bold move.
Also how many Disney movies are centered around accepting the next stage of your life, specifically when it includes handing the spotlight over to the next generation??
This movie and Mean Girls teaches us that school buses are a public danger

My only problem with this movie is that Owen Wilson didn't use his catchphrase, "wow."
Or worse yet there’s no “Ka-wow”
It still impress me how a third movie of Cars somehow able to teach the massage of "sometime, we need to learn when we have to pass the torch" that like the most adult lesson that a family movie can teach to an adult.
By the way, any chance that you can react to Mechamato movie? It a Cartoon Network movie and it still went viral in Japan

I saw this movie while in college with roommates. The entire theater was filled with college kids from 19 - 27 ( maybe?) Yr olds and the ENTIRE theater audiably gasped then started crying at lightenings crash.
I LOVE this movie! Its in my top 3 of pixar movies. The concept of embracing and accepting change is rarely shown in movies, especially carton, but this one protrays it so well
The scene were lightening is with the older racecars and they talk about how much lightening meant to doc ALWAYS! Makes me cry 😥
And i just love the fact that its pure racing throught out the entire movie. More prevelent then the first two .

My favorite movie top tier movie THE GOAT OF THE CARS MOVIES!!!! With the first movie
A bit unrelated but since I missed my chance to post a comment within the first hour of one of your recent movie reactions where you would’ve seen it, I just wanted to say that I was glad that you finally reacted to Inside Out 2. Out of all the movies that I’ve seen so far this year, Inside Out 2 is my personal favorite and was honestly my most anticipated movie of 2024 (yes, even more than Deadpool & Wolverine). As a huge fan of the first movie, I thought it was a great sequel and loved how it continued the story after the original. I loved it so much that I actually saw it in theaters not once but twice! While Toy Story 2 & 3 are still slightly better when it comes to Pixar sequels, I find Inside Out 2 to be leaps and bounds better than the other Pixar sequels. I’m so glad you loved it as well and enjoyed your reaction to it!!!

Cars 3 specifically I was hyped. I remember seeing Cars 2 in theaters when it first came out (also Brave was out at that the same time Cars 2 came out)
I just genuinely love this movie. I was so worried about this being another repeat of the other franchises that has done 3 movies. But this was good!
I did not have a good feeling about McQueens boss being a good guy. It just felt so weird for someone like him to be so kind especially knowing his background
Sorry for this being super random. I just remember seeing this and was so freakin confused. That wasn’t cool of McQueen snapping at his mentor. But I get why it happened.
I like the plots where, The main character teaches and trains a new character before eventually because he or she realises they are washed up and old. And the introduction of a really cool villian.
Take notes Hollywood, this is how you end an amazing franchise on a conclusion.

If I'm correct, the scene of them lights off driving by moonlight in the forest, I think, is what people did to sneak alcohol during prohibition so cops and feds wouldn't find them

This one is also my favorite out of the series. I think it's just a really solid movie and I like how much it focuses on the racing aspect of it and what comes with that.
rewatching this movie, I realized...in the first movie, Lightning dreamed of joining Dinoco
and as Tex has now bought Rusteze, and Lightning is Cruz's crew chief...he kinda does now work for Dinoco in a way
