I remember having this on DVD, and found it pretty fun. My favorite part was the arm fart joke where the light post is actually a robot and passes out from the smell. And then the body tape is on the street the next day. That’s gotta be the most underrated dark humor moment ever. 😅
I watched this movie countless times as a kid, but you're right, a lot of these jokes went way over my head. Not once did I expect an early 2000's movie have an anime reference
I miss Robin Williams! He was the best actor in this movie. I love it when he cried out “AUNT FANNY!” And I always thought that the Britney Spears dance scene in the Final Battle was pretty funny
This is one of my favorite movies that late and always great Robin Williams did and it was so inspiring how Rodney kept going for his dreams. Not only that I quote this movie so many times and love the Brittney Spears part 😂😂😂❤❤❤😂❤
The track when they go to the chop shop is such a good track! It works so well! The cast for this film is insanely stacked as well. Obviously Robin Williams. But big shout out to Jim Broadbent for taking on the role of Madame Gasket, pretty unrecognisable
PLEASE REACT TO "SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON"! It's a story about a strong, beautiful horse with a spirit that can never be broken. I cry every time I watch it! It's a INCREDIBLE film, and the songs are so cool! But it's not a musical and the animals can't talk. 😭💔🔥
I loved this movie so much as a kid. I even had on DVD. It's been years since I last saw, and I'm inspired now, so I'll re-watch it. Thank you for reminding me of it!
It's a rearrangement of the song Underground by Tom Waits. I like his version but the score they added for this really adds something. There's a 2.5 minute version of the chop shop song (with the movie orchestration) on youtube. It's called 14. Chop Shop (Robots Complete Score).
I don't know why but this reminds of the movie Repo: The Genetic Opera, where people have to pay for organ replacements due to a organ failure epidemic and they get hacked if they miss a payment. This makes me think of a potential sequel for that where organ replacement isn't enough anymore and the rates have gone up, so certain people have been secretly building prosthetics from whatever they can find(scrap/junk/whatever)and eventually that evolved into the 'Robots' civilization cos the robots needing spare parts and getting captured to go to the chop shop works the same way. Also is Wonderbot a person? Cos he's not a regular invention like an appliance, he has a personality/sentience like everyone else, was built almost the same way the parents built Rodney except Wonderbot isn't 'born' a baby bot and when the dishwasher thing doesn't work out, Wonderbot is just doing his own thing. (Did Rodney Frankenstein him?)
"Just finished watching Robots for the first time and WOW, what a wild ride! 🤖✨ The animation was stunning, the humor had me laughing out loud, and the message hit deep! 🛠💖 I didn't expect it to be so heartwarming! Can't believe I waited so long to see it. Anyone else feel like they need to watch it again? 😂💯 #NewFavorite"
This was one of the first Robin Williams movies I've seen. I don't think it's talked about enough, but it's such a silly movie that has a good message about following your dreams.
My goodness this is my favorite all time movie from Blue Sky. I was absolutely heartbroken to hear the studio shutting down. I’m so glad you got to watch this. It’s one of the few childhood movies of mine. Sorry for being late on this. I was just now seeing this! It’s such a classic movie!
Also just found out that herb copperbottom is played by stanley tucci and never knew that until now head tge father talking and i was like wait a second so looked it up and i was right
There was a bit in the Bonus Features on the DVD where you could make the little red dancing robot do different dances with different music- me and my brother played around with it so much that mum confiscated the DVD 😭😂
"Making the baby is the fun part" "We wanted a boy, right?" "Now put your head between your legs" The adult jokes that fly over my head as a kid.......
0:50 I didn’t Understand that as a kid But As I got older I connected the Dots. 1:23 Work Labor. 1:39 Again I connected the Dots. 4:47 Rip Robin/The Genie. 9:46 Amanda Bynes.❤ 11:23 I love Jennifer Coolidge as an Actress. 21:32 Believe it or not This was my First exposure to Brittney Spears.
Yes, this movie is weird, but in a good way. Robin Williams is the highlight, as always. Speaking of Robin Williams: Have you seen Flubber? Another funny movie with him
YES! Everyone is so good in this but Fender aka Robin Williams in this is top notch fabulous. The world building and atmosphere is so well thought out I wish we had more; the details are so clever. My favorite part is Fender as Britney Spears. For some reason I remember that so clearly and stuck out to me in my little children hood ~ as Billy Binges would say.
A bit unrelated but since I missed my chance to post a comment within the first hour of your last movie reaction where you would’ve seen it, I just wanted to say that I was glad that you finally reacted to Inside Out 2. Out of all the movies that I’ve seen so far this year, Inside Out 2 is my personal favorite and was honestly my most anticipated movie of 2024 (yes, even more than Deadpool & Wolverine). As a huge fan of the first movie, I thought it was a great sequel and loved how it continued the story after the original. I loved it so much that I actually saw it in theaters not once but twice! While Toy Story 2 & 3 are still slightly better when it comes to Pixar sequels, I find Inside Out 2 to be leaps and bounds better than the other Pixar sequels. I’m so glad you loved it as well and enjoyed your reaction to it!!!
I def caught the jokes when this came out but I think I was in high school when it came out so yeah maybe younger kids might not have but then again I remember getting a lot of the jokes when I was younger and I was pretty sheltered (like not even allowed to celebrate Halloween "because it was Satan's birthday") so I can imagine kids less sheltered caught them even more.
Would you ever consider reacting to The Trial of the Chicago 7 or maybe Oliver and Company? The first movie had NO reactions on TH-cam yet, and the second had very VERY few😅
I remember having this on DVD, and found it pretty fun. My favorite part was the arm fart joke where the light post is actually a robot and passes out from the smell. And then the body tape is on the street the next day. That’s gotta be the most underrated dark humor moment ever. 😅
That’s my favorite part too it’s so funny
Same.🤣🤣🤣🤣
21:28 Cue one of the most random and iconic moments in animated movie history
This film is hilarious. Truly a testament of the time when Blue Sky Studios was still around.

That had me DYING
"The lies I've told! The lives I've RUINED- wait this isnt helping me" has always been my favorite joke in this whole movie 😂

Another movie worth rewatching, meet the Robinsons. Both favourites of mine!
8:37 the singer for that bit is Tom Waits. Underground is an actual song from 1983. He’s known for his voice. It’s rad! 😊
11:56. He know what’s gonna happen
Wasn't expecting this movie to have a video, but I'm glad it did
8:37 Tom Waits - Underground
14:58 Dances like this need to happen more often 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
I need the chop shop song as a full track but they just have that sound bite from what I can find 😢 love the reaction keep up the great work!

21:31 everyones reaction. Its a Britney Spears song in a robots movie. As for the memes this movie made some of those memes.

yes, Robin knew about anime. Neon Genesis Evangelion was reportedly his favorite
My life is complete now knowing he liked anime🥹😭😭
Jim Broadbent, Professor Slughorn in Harry Potter, is the mother.

Yes, actually Robin Williams was an anime fan. I think he liked Evangelion and Ghost in the Shield. His daughter is named Zelda
I've been waiting for you to see this. I love it so much!
4:58 I'm sure he did. Named his daughter after a video game character.
