Ok this is probably among the best Roman history mapping videos I’ve ever seen. Excellent work. Only slight downside is it’s kinda hard to read the names on the map when there’s multiple emperors at once. A darker font probably would’ve been better. But still great work nonetheless.
Tominus Maximus and Project Byzantium (when combined) are better (showing important rival nations, usurpers, barbarian invasions, month by month) This still is a great video, though. The best year by year video by far, and a major improvement over Tigerstar's old video.
I would like to praise the inclusion of the Ostrogothic kingdom and Odoacer in this diagram.The Eastern Roman Empire recognized Odoacer and Theodoric as Caesar.None of the people of the time recognized that Western Rome had fallen. Although the Roman Emperor was dethroned, there were no other major changes in the government.

After the death of Julius Nepos, the Italian senate accepted Odoacer as ruler. The Eastern Roman emperor Zeno, fearing Odoacer's growing arrogance, appointed Theodoric Caesar in the sense of deputy emperor, just like the Caesars of the Tetrarchy.
The HRE really should be included in these sorts of videos. Otto the Great, Otto III, Frederick Barbarossa, and Frederick II were as much Western Caesars as ANY of the heirs of Constantine.
The HRE was founded centuries after the West fell though, and wasn’t based on the old empire at all. It was a confederation of German states for most of its lifespan

After 476 Odoacer did not conquer italy, he merely demoted the imperial position to a normal governmental status as he did not believe italy alone should be home to an emperor since the rest of the west collapsed. Emperor Zeno gave him the title Roman Patrician to recognize his governorship of the province. His successors such as Theodoric would retain those titles.

I agree, but they weren’t recognized as Caesars, Emperors, etc; they were Patricians of Italy on behalf of the Eastern Emperor.
