I'm already 100 models deep into metallic contrast for Word Bearers. So nothing is gonna change, but I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with for them. :)
Really looking forward to seeing the space wolves guide I always found it difficult to make them look good with the contrast paints so I’m excited to see how you do it
A good way for me: prime black, white zenithal. Base layer of Vallejo Midnight blue. Then, with a makeup brush and a dampened piece of tissue, build up your grey layers. I started with dawnstone and went up to administratum grey. Very quick and easy to do. Next paint your red details, brass trim and metal gun casing, then wash everything with an oil wash or streaking grime and clean it up after it dries. After that, paint the eyes and base the model and you are done.
I just bought most of the unit boxes for a WE army for 40k, I'm torn between painting them like this and then going back with a red oil wash or blood effects or something like that, or just painting them like they're "supposed" to be since I also like that scheme.
That marine is beautiful! 😍 Though it never fails to make me laugh that 30k World Eaters had White armour. Angron must have had a SPECIAL hated for all his servants. The effort to clean the red ( or whatever other colours Xenos bleed) from the white and make it shine again after EVER SINGLE BATTLE/SKIRMISH is both hilarious (to me) and back breaking (for the servants) 😅🥲🤣
Great Tutorial. What do you think about drybrush of ulthuan grey over mechanicus base and then nuln oil? And then another very light drybrush of ulthuan for the most raised highlights?
Nice work. I think it would go a lot faster painting the armour white and putting on a coat of Army Painter Dark Tone Quickshade. The stuff from a can. Because of the long drying time, you can remove all the excess with a brush and a bit of terpentine.
MKIII is my absolute favorite armor type, but is definitely one of the most tedious to paint, specially if you go insane and start highlighting the rivets (don't try it... ) 😅
Haha the brush trick for blood splatter how did I not see this before !!! lol Also your brush is prob not moving that much around maybe because your head stays in the same area :D?
More Legions on the way very soon so make sure you subscribe! Let me know who else you're excited to see!

This was a very well laid out scheme. Appreciate the quick run down of pros/cons of nuln oil full coverage versus panel lining.
No worries pal. Glad you liked it.
This is fantastic. A brilliant, quick and easy scheme. Top work fella 👍👏👌🖌️
Your to kind.

Gonna do spacewolves and thousand sons together in one week. It just makes sence.

Your welcome as always pal.
I’ve been looking for a better way to paint the heresy scheme for World Eaters, and this looks like the answer! Thanks!
No worries pal.
Just what I needed as I go back to my beloved World Eaters.
Looking forward to your other Heresy content.
Glad you like it pal. Hope your well.
Excellent tutorial Andy. I’ve switched my blood angels painting process to yours, to speed things up!
That’s so cool to read pal. Glad you liked it.
Really nice job Andy - makes me want to try painting some White Armor again.
Cheers dude. White scars is the next one so that’s pure white. This is slightly off white.
dang it looks so cool. cheers for the guide.
No worries pal
Very nice and quite tempting.
Hahah glad to hear you liked it pal.
Great Job!
Cheers pal
I love it man
Glad you like it pal.
Nice Work
Thanks dude.
Woooo, going to try this!
Can’t wait to see what you do.
Awesome!
Thanks so much!

Both would look cool maybe do a tester for each and see what jumps out more to you.
This might be your best one!
Cheers dude. Appreciate that.
These look great. I’m thinking of doing world eaters so I may have to use this scheme as I’m not too confident I can paint white.
That’s the whole point of my channel. Trying to get rid of the fear of painting with simple guides.
@@MediocreHobbies do you think this same scheme would work on the tank coming in the box set?
@@Xthumper32X yes. You will need to take your time. And make sure the coats stay thin but it should look great.
@@MediocreHobbies thanks for the reply!
I am enjoying this video 😁 (more vids)
Yes sir.

Could you imagine the cleaning bill. Lol
Do you think it would still be effective for painting dreadnoughts and slightly bigger vehicles?
Yep should look awesome. But maybe check my painting sons of Horus tank video. That technique should do an even better job.

It could work for sure. You just have ye be drybrushing correctly to make sure there are no streaks

Random question but any plans to paint the praetors from Age of Darkness, or any of the character models being released like Geigor?
I do indeed have plans for more characters. I have a video out tomorrow involving rann so I hope you enjoy that.
@@MediocreHobbies sweet!
Paint. Wash. Highlight. PAINT. WASH. HIGHLIGHT!
Hahahhah
How long does it take you paint one of these World Eaters using this technique, is about 1 hour?
Hmmm I’d say less then an hour. Probably 20 minutes actual brush time.
MKIII is my absolute favorite armor type, but is definitely one of the most tedious to paint, specially if you go insane and start highlighting the rivets (don't try it... ) 😅
Hahaha I will not don’t worry
What mk is the armor?
Haha the brush trick for blood splatter how did I not see this before !!! lol Also your brush is prob not moving that much around maybe because your head stays in the same area :D?
Hahhaha probably.
Mayby i'm not a fan of World Eaters, but i 'm sure that you make him exelent
Very kind pal.
The War Hounds…For the Algorithm!
Hahaha thanks.
Why bother with dark undercoat instead of white and then force yourself into layering.
The no layering style can work I just perfect This style. Easier to control and fix mistakes with.
Lol what are you talking about? It’s an extremely easy colour scheme to paint.
Thank you.
So grimy
The way it should be lol
