Many parents are very bad to their children. We focus on the children, but the parents teach the children. In order to raise good children, most of the time the parents have to be good. May Allah guide us.

Pelican Fly i used to think of my mom that way too.. when i was little, she was always angry, she doesn't care, so i distance myself from her and was closer to my dad.. i love him so much, he brought out the best in me, he made me feel as if I'm unstoppable.. until i lost him. and was left with my mom. she was still like how she was before my father passed away. she didn't care about my siblings n i.. we were so little. my uncles from fathers side hated her, but i hated them as well cuz all they wanted was the will my dad left us. i who used to be good in school became a problematic child, i blame it all on my mom.. one day, I've had enough and i lashed out on her for never been there and ruining my life.. she cried, she apologized, she told me, she doesn't know how to love, her parents sent her away when she was little, she was abused by her aunts, my father is her only happiness and she lost it all when she lost him, she was grieving at the same time as we did, we all were grieving, she doesn't know what to do, we were all lost without him.. we worked our way out of it, she has changed..i was too focused on wanting her to understand me I've forgotten the fact that I need to understand her too.. there's no denying the fact that they are bad parents out there.. but they always have their reasons, but I don't know how to say this but yeah so we all need to understand each other to work things out. lol

Assalamu alaykum. Any advise on non Muslim familys? Its been around 2 years since I reverted. They asked me to leave the house. I'm still a teen. Alhumdulilah i have Allah SWT. Please make duaa that my family accepts Islam.

      @HidayaForMankind 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

Walaikum Salaam. At the end of video it deals with parents who are non Muslim. You are still asked to be nice to them unless they tell you to do something against Allah (Swt) or Islam. Try to see if some of your muslim friends or local mosque can help you if they end up kicking you out of the house. May Alalh make it easy upon you and keep you on straight path. And May he also guide your parents to accept Islam. Ameen.

I want to share something. I live with my parents and brother. All my relatives from both my father and mothers side have stopped talking to us completely. I basically live a life without any uncles, aunties, and even cousins. They caused a lot of grief and trouble for my family, when my parents were always nice to them and help them out in trouble times. However, despite everything we do not have. I thank Allah so many times that our family is still good and strong. I have a loving mother and caring father, and a brother who does not do things that other brothers do. We have nothing but we still have each other. Only Allah can really judge them, but they do not think that they gossip and do bad things, that they won't leave this world, what will they tell Allah then? So my brothers and sisters, don't be sad about your current family situation, Allah is watching everything.

Some parents are incredibly evil, I know someone whose life whose utterly ruined by them (and his siblings who took their parents' side). Witchcraft is often involved to breed hatred among them.

Salaam Alaikum, just know that no matter where you reach at any point in your life. No matter if you feel as if the whole world is against you. Allah is always on your side and Allah (Suhanna Wa Tallah) loves you, and no matter what problems you face, Allah (Suhanna Wa Tallah) will always be there with you. You just have to try as hard as you can to remember how much He loves us, and particularly you. I need to remember this a lot myself and really struggle a lot of the time, but for the moments that I do, I really feel that Allah loves me and wants me to succeed (Alhamdulillah). So Inshallah, let's try our best to remember Allah. May Allah bless you and guide you. :)

I don't want to sound ungrateful. But my mother passed away two years ago. It's alright living with my dad and brother. But Masha' Allah, it's tough. From preparing food on the table to cleaning the house to doing the laundry. It's tiring. I feel guilty, yes I feel guilty for feeling this. I try very hard to be sincere. But I don't know what's wrong with me. And every time I try to talk to my dad about my brother's bad behavior, he'd just shrug it off. And every single time i try to make a small conversation with him, he IGNORES me. I feel sad, but I still try to make a small conversation. I feel embarassed when he does that in front of our relatives. And my brother, oh my how much I shower him with my love, he always claims we don't love him and just wants to die and that he's stupid. From making his breakfast, always standing up for him and doing his laundry , he doesn't see this as my way of loving him. And he's also very rude to my father- which makes me SO SAD . And every single time , we have a tiff, he always threatens me like " oh im not gonna do it. im not joking" . I'm tired I'm tired of feeling insecure with my OWN brother. And he think IT'S OKAY or like the world revolves around him. And worst- This is probably my fault ! Astaghfirullah, I'm sorry for complaining , but I need to get it off my chest. May Allah give us happiness for all of us and our family members :)

sister, you are amazing, i wouldnt be half the person you are if my mom passed away because i am so very dependent on her even at an age of 22. Make dua, sincerely pass all your problems to allah in prayer and he will not let you down. He helps us when we need to and doesnt burden our souls with more than we can bear. This may be your test and may allah reward you abundantly for sticking through it when it gets hard. Amin!

There are so many spoiled people in this world who do absolutely nothing and get anything they want and you might think its unfair but whats better than what Allah has offered you :) I am also in hardships right now my life kinda sucks so i know 100% how it feels and my family is not the best either. Last year for my dads birthday, My mother, siblings and I decided to make him a little surprise. I made a simple cute video for him with all his old photos (He doesn’t take pics a lot) and my mother offered him the Holy Book of Allah. The day of his birthday we all jumped in his room and wished him a happy birthday. We had shown him the video we’d made for him. He looked so surprised, he wasn’t expecting it. He emotionally said thank you and suddenly turned his head away, we frowned thinking that he probably didn’t like it, but then we heard him sniffing and we realized that he’s been crying. It was my first time seeing my dad cry then we cried with him. I’d never forget that day.

My mom is cheating on my dad and I’m really depressed about it. I don’t know what to do, my mom doesn’t know that I know it. I also cannot tell my dad that cause I know my parents would get divorce. Sometimes I hate my mother because of her actions, she’s becoming more unreligious and doing haram things. And the worst thing is when my dad would go to work, mom brings her lover to our home in midnight 😞 I need Allah very much plz pray for my family 🙏🏻😢

The best step in my opinion is to take it slow and first realise these things
      Do I love my parents?
Do I skip on the little thing?
      Do I hate them?
These questions in my opinion help realise what your doing and what needs to be done.

Sometimes it's hard to say I love you when they make you feel so unloved. How do you deal with that? Sometimes I get worry that I'm turning into them because that is how they raise me...

As salaamu alaikum to you All, In sha Allah what I will share will encourage us all. Our families will be a test and I surely know this. But as someone said if we get closer to Allah ta'ala we are stronger to deal with the test we have. No, it will not be easy by any means but when our imans get stronger we do too. I am a convert of 18 years and the only Muslim in my family. I have adult children who I tried to share Islam with but it is not to be so far. I say so far because we all know the Allah ta'ala makes Muslim whom he wills but I keep making dua for my family. I too have lost my mother, my dear sister Zahirah and what an adjustment that has been for me. However, our Holy book tells us with difficulty there is ease, with difficulty comes ease. We must remember that. My entire family sometimes has some trouble adjusting to me being Muslim but Alhamdullillah Allah ta'ala chose me to be Muslim. I like you have a set of guidelines to follow in regards to family, neighbors, the ummah and this world we live in. Sister Zahirah, Yasmin Mogehed has written a wonderful book, 'Reclaim your Heart.' I suggest you read it and it will surely help you with your family concerns. I recommend this book because with it's help I was able to function again after my mother's death but also learn that sometimes Allah ta'ala takes things away to give us something different but also to teach us we must rely on Him alone and no other. Remember Allah ta'ala test those HE loves the most. Please take the good from this and leave the rest. May Allah ta'ala protect us, Ameen.

The thing is obvious that we should be patient ,even our parents are wrong we have to be patient advise them in a polite manner and make Dua for them ,'coz nobody is perfect we are not perfect ,if suppose they are not good doesn't mean we should be the same ,we should try to end the bad convrsation .We too are obliged and mature to solve problems .
Don't hate ur parents they love u if they can't show u the love what u wanted then it doesn't mean they dont love u , Then are showing the same thing we can also change and strive to achieve love and bonding of Our family Inshaa Allah.

Just because you don't know anyone whose family is bad to their children doesn't mean they don't exist. My family destroyed me. I suggest you check parents who have NPD, you'll know what I'm talking about. And for the love of God I don't need the lecture about how I should love my parents because I've been doing my absolute best to please them, but they are just so...well. Check testimonies about those who are narcissists and how they RUIN their children's lives.

Only little kids & early teens think their parents don't love them. We've all been there. If you don't think/treat highly of your kids, they're not going to think/treat highly of you.
*Program your kids before the DUNYA programs them.*
I have a sister 2 years older than me; a brother 8 years younger than me, & a sister 12 years younger than me. They're in primary school. If you have younger siblings with a huge age gap, Ma-sha-allah, you're lucky. Allah gave you such siblings so you can test & teach yourself how to be a good parent in future. But what do we *'young adults'* do? Instead we're always complaining about our younder siblings, demanding them *"Do this, Do that. Don't do this. Don't do that. Stop it. No. Go away. Get lost. Leave me alone. Muuuuuuuum/Daaaaaaad, tell them [so&so]."* This isn't programming your kids/siblings, this is arrogance. If you want to have good kids, have a *POSITIVE* response, they *PICK IT UP* from you, before you order your kids around, *TEACH THEM*.

I’ve done so much for my family, but I am so lost, sad and so sick of being tried of this. My parents are so selfish, they only care about themselves, they always fight, they fight and fight. My brother have been so bad to my mother because of my father. And no one listens to my problems, to what I need, to how I feel, no one. I can’t tell my father, he never understand, he always promise to be good but he never does. I’m so lost.. my parents will never change even if pray so hard to god, I have done that for 4 years. I hate this. I even suffer from a bone disease and would never be able to live normally. I am stuck and doesn’t know what to do, I always have sabr but they doesn’t..
