I want to love Shapr3D, but I truly don't understand their pricing. Its way to expensive for the average hobbyist and laughingly cheap for a business. I really don't know if they know who their target demographic is. I really hope that introduce a price for normal users which is offset by increasing the price for pro users
I miss the days when you could spend $20-50 on a piece of software and “own” a copy on your device. Going to bounce a grandkid on my knee someday and tell them about those times.
You have great design talent man. I am going to go through all your build videos to find some inspiration and finally get back in my shop to build office organization projects for my new office at work. Thanks for all your guides and tutorials!
Wow if the rest of the video series is like this I might jump in and purchase a Subscription. Thank you for going over all the tools and settings. I have been trying Fusion360 for a month now and the learning curve is crazy. This looks a lot more intuitive and with the addition of Parametric Modeling, I'm really going to consider this. Well lets see how the rest of the series looks like, thank you!!!
Looking forward for the lessons!! ...don't forget to create a nice order playlist ;) ...and looking for ward to the all ready know MagSafe 3D iPhone stand you'll make with that awesome X1 Carbon ;)
Super helpful. I’m going all in on my woodworking TH-cam channel this year, and I use the free version to design some tables last summer, but I think it’s time to bite the bullet and upgrade.
Greetings, I enjoy your videos and I think they are very high quality and instructive, I use shapr 3d thanks to you. I have a problem, on my ipad 8 generation since I bought the app, the AR quick view shows that the project is too big and cannot render in real time. Maybe my ipad is weak for higher resolution? Thank you and best regards
Technology question. I am retired and a woodworking hobbyist. What iPad would you suggest if I want to run shapr3D, TH-cam, email, and some simple Mac apps on it? I currently have a MacBook Pro in my office but like the idea of using an iPad when I'm out somewhere or in the shop doing woodworking. Thanks for the help and great videos so far.
I am in the same boat, retiree and woodworking is my most enjoyable hobby. My recommendation after using all iPads models since their first appearance in 2010 is the iPad Pro 12.9. Yes, little of bit more expensive, has a larger screen compared to other models, but you have more screen or visual real state, and at my age I like to see things larger and its superb functionality is worth the investment. Pro is powerful and definitely well equip to handle Shapr3D. However, it becomes even more powerful if it is used in conjunction with Apple Pencil, now you have the Hammer of the Gods. I have been using 1st, 2nd and now 6th generation Pros and will never go back to the others (Air, etc). Three yrs ago, gave my MacBook Pro to one of my children as it was collecting dust and the iPad Pro is more than enough to take care of my emails, woodworking designs, planning, teleconferences, etc., it is mobile and charge last around 10hrs. You cannot beat it. I also used to own a Surface Pro, well, sorry but there are NOT iPad Pro, not the same. The iPad Pros are the best handwriting/drawing device in the world and are in the league of their own. So besides, my iPad Pro, have an old Mac and that’s it. Hope this helped. So recommend getting an iPad Pro 12.9 w/ Apple Pencil, protective screen and case, 5th and 6th gen at this time might be lower price. Good luck and keep building stuff. 😆
I want to replace the furniture in my room but with furniture that I will build myself and for that I want to use the free version of the software for the sketches, is this possible? And do you have any videos on how to draw: a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a storage cabinet, a desk, how do you make the dimensions be in meters, centimeters? i forgot to mention that I build the furniture from wood
Are you able to show how to flatten 3D images with shapr3d for cnc or laser cutting for prep into your cam software. This is where a lot of programs fall. Other then that your vids for woodworkers are great, congrats on the colab with shapr3d.
Hi only on this channel i can learn design to furniture, Im from Chile and can't find any other channel what do the same, for me it's hard the english but i try, thx for ur videos !!!!
I have been watching your videos to help me learn how to use this program and it's been extremely helpful, so thank you so much! I did run into some issues that I was hoping you'd be able to help me with. I have the free version currently, but I'm hoping this isn't a pain feature or something, but I have tried to delete the sketches I made after I'm done creating the model. Everytime I do though, it deletes the 3d body itself or the change s I made with the sketch depending on what I was using it for. I don't know how to change this or stop the program from deleting the bodies when I delete the sketch. If you could let me know if there is a work around or fix, I would really appreciate it! Thanks mate!
@@BevelishCreations I am not quite sure which version, but it would make sense because I can't seem to do what you do when you just delete the sketch and leave the body intact. Do you know if I pay for Shapr3d, it'll change?
I have been watching your videos and yesterday purchases an iPad Pro and subscribed to Shaper Pro. Looking forward to more videos.

I am in the same boat I just don’t 3D model enough to justify it. Actually came to the comments to see if they have updated their pricing….
This! If you can give them any real feedback, this is it.
This. It’s just not reasonable for hobbyists sadly.
Their pricing is ridiculous for hobbyists. It's such a shame.

Thanks for your content. You seem to be very happy sharing, and it makes me feel good watching you. I love the cosine nature of your videos.

Purchased subscription with your code. This is exactly what I needed as a beginner.
Thanks for the support

Whisch is best to invest time and money for woodworking furniture making shapr3D, solidworks, fussion 360 or something else?
Great video.Thank you
Do you tend to block things out then detail when designing things, or do you work in detail from the beginning?
Thanks Alex. It was a good summary of features.
Thanks!
Nice video, where do we go from here ?? What's the next step

That’s something you might have to ask Shapr3D support. I’m not sure why you are getting the error

Are you using the parametric modeling beta? If so, the sketches are linked to the 3D bodies so you can’t just delete them

Does the code work for monthly subscription or only one year? And if its the month is it only the first month?
Works for both
Looking forward to the series. I’ve designed two projects so far with Shapr3D and I really like it.
Great!
How often are you going to post videos and how many do you think you'll post?
About 1 per month and the plan right now is 10 videos.
awesome
Thanks!
How to cut out Shapr3D CAD parts on the CNC?
I have other videos on that :)
Sorry, I forgot. "DESIGN & MAKE in Shapr3D and Fusion 360 | CAD CAM Tutorial for CNC"
This program would be huge if not for its pricing. atleast offer a lower tier for like $10/month
or maybe a one time purchase for the basic visualisation & sone export options.
