Hope you find some use out of the Relight effect, I know I will in the future. 😏 I've added chapters in the description for those of you that would like to dive straight into DaVinci!
The relight feature of resolve looks really neat.
I’ve got to get around to trying it at some stage, but I think the 2020 M1 Mac I’m using May struggle a bit with it.
You should give it a try for sure. Never know with that M1, it's pretty powerful too!
@@chrisjohnsson True that, I'll give it a crack and see if my MBP melts into my table or not 😂
@@bseng Hahah, hope not. 🤞😅🤞
Had to use relight quite a bit on a documentary project that I had to color grade. Amazing tool. Draw back is, it is slow as molasses to render. Just go to bed and let it render overnight if used a lot on bigger projects.
I bet, that doc must have been quite a beast to render! I’m going to try it out on a couple of talking heads in a video I’m editing right now, so I guess I might be finding out soon…
@@chrisjohnsson Be prepared to go run some errands. lol.
hard to even see it as a still frame from a video. wild
Great tutorial and fun model!
Thank you very much! I know right, I love the hair!
Fantastic. Immediate follow.
Love to hear that! ☺️🙏
I need to play around with davinci resolve more often. Thanks for showing how to use relight.
You are very welcome, hope you’ll find some use out of it! ☺️
Great video! Was the video clip of the woman with the blue hair shot on FX6 and Sony 24mm GM lens? Thanks.
Thank you very much, appreciate it! ☺️🙏 It sure was! And with a 1/8 mist filter for a bit of softness. 😏
That look looks dope. Do you mind sharing what lut was used on this piece?
Thank you! I’ve been using Joel Famularos “Arri Looks” pack made for the FX6 and A7SIII/FX3 a lot lately, so I believe it was one of the 5 in that pack. ☺️
Nice tip, I will try it with Capcut since Capcut has same feature.
Yeah, do it! Didn’t know Capcut had that feature, that’s great!
Maan 2 min to star the point?
Haha, I know, but at least there are chapters that you can jump to. ☺️
So annoying the way he talks and move around.. made me lose interest in watching the actual effect
for some reason this effect does not work on my M1 MACBOOK PRO. i apply relight and nothing is working - no preview map, no changing of lights nothing. and ofc i have studio. any tips?
Hmm, hard to tell. One guess might be that it is taking a lot longer to calculate the environment. Try it on a shorter clip and maybe lower the preview resolution would be my start. Hopefully that helps!
@@chrisjohnsson thx for answer - no nothing - i let is sit for 5 minutes and no preview map ever show. also depth map effect does not work for me. :-(
Get to the point my friend 😂
Haha, this is what happens when I don’t write a script. 🙈
can you talk about video editing and stay on a still image all long? the most interesting part would be to see the video, not the still image. I know it's long to render but come on !
2 and a half minutes to get into the subject? rambling is a weak word to describe that tutorial!
That’s why I added the chapters, because I know do like to ramble a bit. ☺️ They can be found in the description and often at the bottom of the video so it’s easy to jump straight to the point for people in a hurry.
it would be better If you just get to the point rather talking so much in the start. Nice tip.
Thanks! Those types of videos are just terribly boring to record, haha. And if I’m not having fun making the video, I’m just not making the video. But I appreciate the feedback!
@@chrisjohnsson I understand the fun part but the it becomes lengthy
@@WIPEITSIJANhave you ever considered touching grass ?
He's excited about the feature, let him be a person and not a robot😊
@@chrisjohnsson maybe few seconds of intro are OK.. but 2 minutes? way too long and boring. Attention span on social media is very short
Bro get your shits together and try remaking this video... I finally just had to leave. 😮
No sabes ni usar el lavalier, no te creo nada 😛. no te creas
Hahah, love this, I actually recorded a video about this. Might release later. 😏🙈
