- Valerie Bertinelli seemingly responds to a story from Matthew Perry's new memoir, 'Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing,' where the 'Friends' star claims he made out with the actress while she was married to the late Eddie Van Halen. As Matthew tells it, he and Valerie were co-stars in the short-lived 1990 sitcom 'Sydney' when a 'long, elaborate make-out session' took place.

it's weird that people think he should hide parts of his life that made a great impact on him because other people might get hurt. it's his life too and he shouldn't be ashamed to share parts of it. valerie and eddie divorced. he didn't die when they were married. so it's not like their relationship ended when he took his last breath. people need to calm down and take a hard look in the mirror. the reality is people are mortified that matthew perry shared this because now they wonder how they have also treated others in their life badly and what shame would come to them if that information was shared. and its true. no person should refrain parts of their life that have had a great impact on them because someone else messed up

In light of Eddie’s semi-recent death, it would have been classy of Matthew to just say “I had a huge crush on Valerie and I sensed she liked me, too.”
He is not the virtue signaling type. If one is going to write a tell all honest book, then I kind of respect him for putting everything out there not caring what other people think. It almost seems like his last goodbye as though he only has a couple months to live. Now this doesn't mean I am a fan. I don't think he should have written the book at all, but he doesn't appear fake like most people who releases an autobio recently like Geena Davis and Bono.
Well, she's free now. Maybe he should ask her out.

It's one thing to be 'honest' about addiction, but another to make nasty, public comments about people you knew & what's more do nasty things to friends. First Keanu, now he tells all about the intimate details of his relationship with Valerie, and this is not just his intimacy, it's also Valerie's. Did he ask her permission to talk about it publicly? And does Matthew really think that talking about how he made out with his friend's wife while his friend was unconscious puts him in a good light? Tasteless and awful.
Always liked David / Ross better and seems I had an instinct. For example, David first talked to Jen, before the Reunion, if he can talk about their crush on each other, she agreed, so they did it together. In contrast, Perry is telling all about Valerie without even asking her! Disgusting.
