I was reunited this November with my very first boyfriend from age 13 and all these years, bad relationships, trial tribulations and children we are in total bliss. Everyday we can't believe the bond but it's nothing but God. I was young I was more of a soul train an old music I’m 40 now but I don’t if it was video soul I heard this but I love the whole song and it goes right with the video and that’s how I base off music I love.. Except for Anita baker I used to sleep with a radio in my bed with the speaker nxt to my ear listening to every word and I’m like okay this how a relationship she be like and not just that I watched how my daddy treated his wife and all my aunties how they treated they husbands and how the household was ran.. So ik now in this world you’ll never find men like my Unc are my daddy maybe close but that taught me a lot an listening through music.. I was 6yr old and my mind set was totally different and I remember going to the record store to buy MJ off the wall album and Tina Turner single What’s love got to do.. Jeffery Osborne and the man asked me what I knew about that and I said I like the songs each one was a nickel bcuz they were the small ones.. Reason behind Tina turner it was something about that video that caught me it was just the joy in her face never knew why her outfit her hair I was amazed by it and wasn’t til I got older and understood the song..But soul train captured me with the outfits an hair styles from OMG Patti Labelle Gladys knight, Commadors the fro’s and my mama had a high one.. Janet Jackson OMG so music capture me at a super young age and to know how you should feel in a relationship throughout these songs and I sit and think of whenever I get married imma think of how my aunt held it down even as a teenager I’ve always kept on bf I never jump from this one and that one.. I’ll go like 1yr or 2 without a relationship
This is one of my favorite all time songs. Pure Soul is one of my favorite groups. I saw them perform live on "Dance Tracks USA" back in 1995. Their album/CD was excellent, and I wish these former Howard University students would make another great one.
