Hey there Farmall fanatic this is your neighbor down in Butler county. Yeah I understand mowing those field edges back we found out we mowed back about three or four weeks of the mower from woods makes nicer rake and hey you don't have that balled up green stuff at the field edges and then when you're in the Columbine to pick her it gives a little bit more room to turn with the elevator on the picker and he augers on the combines and stuff it just makes it simpler I always figured you don't grow much out there at that edge anyhow and it just keeps the farm looking neater have a good one have fun with those red tractors
Had a long busy day today full day of work on the farm here and then the farm bureau meeting this evening for the county annual fall meeting. Just got back in read your comment there. Yellow what we grow in the field edges is whatever we plant right out to the driveways and then we do our best not to disturb the driveways and usually we still get something grows up between tracks on the driveway to do of a couple places I have over the years planted a little fescue for sod waterways we're pretty flat but still have some driveways that have a little bit of downhill slope and anywhere we get a golly that's usually what we do. I'm a firm believer in farming in strips making sure you have some established sword in between the work ground and then rotating the crops run the beef cows here we have a lot of menorch spread and always helps to get that organic matter worked in I think that prevents an awful lot of erosion well have a good night going to shut it down tonight fire up a Farmall in the morning.
My uncle Allen used to say ,"the H is too little for a big job and too big for a little job" I have an H (tricycle) with # 30 power loader. It is the first tractor that I owned. I carefully move some round bales or bushhog with it sometimes. I like how it sits up high.
Hi Steve, I too have a 1950 H with #30 power loader, also my first tractor. I got it as it was as close to the one my neighbor had growing up, 1953 SH w/#30 loader. I've had people say it'll kill me with the narrow front, but is what I grew up with and was taught to respect and know the limitations, sounds like you practice just that with yours 👍👍👍
Good day I don't understand why fence rows are so wide. Boy up here you plough right to fence. What crop was planted in there. Yes H done good job with mower. Thanks
Thanks for sharing. I have a international 1300 sickle mower 9 foot. I use around my field. Works good for cutting under trees. Keep the crap from growing out.

My neighbor took care of it lots and used long time on his parents farm and he took over in 1978 with one brother! He done lots Cash Crops with it and over 1200 acres worth each year to! My neighbor has it work at GM in all plants too but calls his Horsepower for H because last long time still has all 4 tires as Farm Hand brand but just upgraded to Cooper also still 6 volt positive ground last I known but year ago he put is 12 Volt Negative ground with AC Delco Alternator to plus upgraded wireing too ! Low RPM was 750 and top high idle was 2150 top out to start was funny! Turn key on let fuel pump for 3 mins to full pressure get one click ever after ever 5 seconds then pull Choke control knob out and Idle notch on to first one key ignition on cold hold for 15 seconds then push to 3/4 to crank over again and she start push choke for 1/4 for let engine warm 15 mins ! Then push choke knob in and get moving to feild! That H motor great fuel save with 1 gallon of Desiel on gas fuel tank full and clean motor like brand new or fresh rebuilt!
I’ve always thought the front end sticking out that far looked goofy but I like it. It’s unique and like you said it puts the weight a little farther out front.
Yeah if you get pulling heavy weight it does make a difference I've noticed. A lot of your Allis Chalmers tractors had real long front ends, and they were very hard to pop up. If they were almost built to be naturally front heavy
How much offset will it tolerate? So you could skew the cutter off to one side and get closer to the rough edge or maybe even over it, keep knocking back the rough without forcing you to drive right through it yourself.

@@FarmallFanatic yep, the grain truck. It may be a step-child in the tractor family, but still red and IH. What year, hp, ton capacity, basic how's it work.

Love the way that tractor sounds! Tom Ireland
I like 👍 the way you farm. The old tractors and no payments. You can make a living with old stuff! Okla.H.
You got that right...everything is owned
H stands for Handy, you can do anything you want with an H! One of the best tractors ever made
I agree
It would be cool if Case IH re-issued but in a diesel format!
That was one smooth operation for the H. Property is looking good. 🚀

Mowing & growing. Nice path 👍🍻

What tractor is your 1300 mower hooked to? Also is it a mounted mower, 3 point hitch or fast hitch?

Love your knowledge of these old girls! I had a BN when I was younger, what is the difference between a B and a BN?
BN rear wheels are spaced 8 inches closer than the B, 4 on each side, which means that the minimum and maximum tread is 8 inches less.
Well. That’s ok any. Color will work I guess any way it happens lol

I thought about it
Do you plant any winter rye or wheat? I started planting this stuff about 4 years ago believe it or not really helped with weed control.
I haven't but yes I definitely know that it helps and weed control
You need to turn that rain cap around. Love the H and enjoyed the video. Almost done bush hogging about 30 acres myself. Your path looks nice.
Yeah I probably should do that
