Coming back to MC since they announce Wolverines pack soon after 2 years of « beh » caracters for me. Just to be sure I play Ultron good, You help me lot even if I play the right way. Awesome fluidity! Thanks.
Only just discovered you. Was introduced to this game by Team Covenant 3 years ago when they first discovered it at a Con. Excellent play with Captain Marvel, one of the best all round heroes in the game and one of my favourites after Iron Man. CM Justice is a very strong combo solo even with the base set today.
@David Whitfield Thanks for watching, and Team Covenant does some great playthroughs, and I also use them for their subscription service to make sure I never miss a release. :)
Good catch ... Daredevil lived slightly longer than he should have but the next encounter card took him out, so no change in the games outcome. :) Thanks for watching!
@@DaletheCasualGamer Yea no problem I was just confused I thought daredevil has regen or something! love your video! keep it going! I was thinking to buy the game but still not sure when hehe
I’m trying to learn this and have a question. Should the nemesis have attacked right away when it showed up? I thought they do just like a minion that comes as an encounter. Please advise.
It depends on which phase you are in when it shows up whether it attacks that round or not. Typically they show up during the “encounter” phase which is after the villain/minion “attack” phase. Hope this helps, and good luck!!
New player here and your videos have been awesome to learn the game and some tips! I do have one question, at one point Captain Marvel was exhausted but you still flipped to Carol Danvers, you’re ok to do that? I know it’s one flip per turn but wasn’t sure if you could flip after you’ve exhausted so I haven’t been doing that
@Too Much To Say You can still perform actions and flip forms even while exhausted. Generally, you only exhaust to use one of your "powers" ATK, THW, DEF or REC. Hope that helps, and happy gaming! :)
Thanks for the posts my son and I are trying to figure this game out and I learn something new every video. Question though, how do you know all the cards to add to the encounter deck?
Great to hear you’re playing with your son! The main scheme for each villain should have setup instructions for sets of encounter cards to use. Happy gaming!!
As always - Thanks for sharing! Well played! Ultron it pretty tough. Those drones are a pain. I've yet to play against Ultron, but have beat Rhino and Klaw on hard. I may be wrong, but given some of the Ultron 'per player' cards, it looks like Ultron may defeated the easiest with one super hero, which is not the case for Rhino and Klaw. Usually having another different tactic deck and hero helps, so that one can focus on attack and one on thwart. I forget the name of the card, but the one that is loaded with up to 5 energy to do 10 damage is a game changer. I think you used it 3 times! Ouch! I've played a few games with Capt Marvel and that card produced the same devastation for me. IMHO, it's one of the best cards in the whole game.
I agree. I played ultron with four players this weekend, and we got destroyed. Didn’t even beat the first version of ultron! For encounter cards obligations came up, extra schemes and a player’s nemesis. Still had a lot of fun though! And yes, I thought Captain Marvel would have a good chance with Justice, her personal heal and ability to draw a card. Not sure Iron Man would stand a chance solo on Ultron. :)
@@DaletheCasualGamer True Dat about Ironman. He needs time to get his tech on. While Ironman was getting dressed, or Black Panther getting equipped, Ultron would probably win by completing his scheme. I think you chose the right super hero for solo. Capt Marvel is well balanced
Great video. Quick question about the last play. I thought that when a card mentions specific resource (energy in this case) we cannot use "wild". Am I wrong ? Thank you.
When paying for a card a wild can be used as any resource, when discarded from the deck looking for a specific resource then it is just “wild” and can’t be specific. Hope that helps. :)
at 15.19, when scheme 2 comes into play, as it's still phase 2 of the villain phase, (as Ultron's 5 scheme kicks it up) does the Ultron Drone that comes into play scheme for 3 also?

Thanks for watching! The game does have several ways to make them harder, and while I’d like to say “I’m an excellent gamer”, I’m just a casual gamer that played on the easy level to show game play. Maybe I could play the same game but put it into to super expert mode. FYI. My trial play through I lost, so there is a lot of randomness concerning which encounter cards come out along with hero deck construction.
At 7:00, do you not need to use a mental resource specifically to remove four threat? I thought the wilds didn't count because it needs to have the right symbol. And daredevil was supposed to take damage at 19:06 right?
@Talha Iqbal When paying for resources from your hand, wild count as what you need them to be, but note if you are looking for a specific resource when discarding cards, then it only counts as a wild. And yes, Daredevil should have taken a damage at 19:06 ... but he ended up being KO'd a little later anyway. Thanks for watching!

@John Brown It's a bit confusing, the actual "boost symbol" is the 3 point symbol that boosts the villains attack or scheme value.
