Great video and thank you for sharing. I was heavily into the hobby from the mid 70s to early 90s and just started breaking out my collection. Found some rare gems that are pristine looking as they have been protected in plastics for over 30 to 40 years. Some need to be cleaned up like a 93 Jeter SP and your video just convinced me to try Kurt's Card Care products. I've been watching his videos nonstop and now I am convinced.
I'm basically in the exact same situation. I've been converted/convinced on Kurt and his products as well. Although if you had asked me a month ago I would have been like a lot of people who argue a card should never be messed with/modified. To me though it isn't modifying. It's basically just cleaning. It's essentially like cleaning and detailing a car.
Have you re-used the product since? Did you wash and re-use the microfiber? Did you clean and re-use the mat? I'm experiencing that a lot of these products shouldn't be re-used and are just an introduction to how to do things. How do you feel about it?
What's the deal with BGS cases coming back looking this way? Is this normal? When i've received PSA grading back, the cases are immaculate and in team bags.
Pretty awesome video showing the before and after pictures and your honesty with this. I've only been in the hobby for a little over a year now and have seen these kits around on twitter, with some people accusing these kits of "altering" cards. As a seasoned collector, what are your thoughts on it?
We use water and microfibers on the chrome cards and do well on them, usually hit about 65% on 10's with PSA. Honestly we have a lot more fun finding vintage at shows / yard sales, we think will grade high and they just look cooler in a SGC or hold their value.
How did you use the polish with the aj auto? Just polished the whole surface other than where the auto was? I’m wondering how diff a polished vs non-polished surface looks
I think they need an all around kit. I understand with chrome cards they have plastic film over cardboard but foil cards are cardboard. Really to much of a chance to damage those imo.
Interesting product, but not quite sure what to think about it. I do think the prices are a bit steep. I looked at the channel and a lot of the products look like things you could throw together yourself. A 1 Oz bottle of spray, The Box with all the cloths, etc...they are a quite steep IMO. Maybe, if you're an investor and NOT a collector, then maybe it'd be worth it. Just don't know if this is a good idea or not but it's my opinion only. You know what they say about opinions, right Bobby: They're like assholes. EVERYONE has one and they ALL stink. 😂 Thanks for sharing! 🎅🤶⛄️🎄🎁🎄⛄️🤶🎅 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌
I'm not judging , by all means what you do with your cards is your choice , where I have an issue , is reselling a card that was really a 8 or 8.5 that has been altered yes altered to a 9.5 there's a fine line I mean rub a corner here remove a surface spot there trim a card , very fine line . I wouldn't want either of those cards now , but just me guess I'm the old guy holding on to the past . With all that said I do not believe 5 0 cheddar bob is up to some shading s*** I believe his intentions are from a PC mindset , I don't think he's planning on flipping these cards , and if he was I truly believe he would disclose the fact that they where altered .
Thanks for chiming in! I don’t see an issue with it. Would you clean and wax your car before selling it? I can understand your viewpoint as well. Grading the cards confirms nothing is altered as they would either refuse to grade them or mark them altered. Appreciate you watching!
@@CBSportsCards Let me first say I don't think your doing anything wrong bviously my comment is opinion based , not everyone is gonna feel a certain way about it , at the end of the day there your cards , Im not the moral authority of sports cards , I dont personally know you but I'm confident that you are a straight shooter , I recently mentioned you and PC87 on another sports card you tube channel stating that you both are salt of the earth type dudes , It was a top 10 sports cards TH-cam channels and I thought it was unfair the both of you weren't at least honorable mentions . But I stand by my conviction that not cleaning but tubing out corners is no different than trimming , once again my opinion , if you have no issues with buying a card that has been altered from it's original pack pull state then it's a non issue for you personally.

Are you altering your car if you clean, wax it and removed and dings before selling it? 🤷🏻♂️
@@CBSportsCards thats honestly a great comparison haha
No one says anything about comic grading advanced cleaning lol. With the quality control today we need stuff like this.

That’s awesome I sent in a24 card order to PSA can’t wait
That’s awesomeness
Nice BGS grades!
If you’re subbing your cards without using Kurt’s….your throwing away money…one of the best investments I’ve made

When did Mark Andrew’s start doing TH-cam?
This is great! I’m gonna bust open my Mickey mantle rookie PSA2, and roll it out to a PSA10. Nice! Thanks!
Watch Kurts on older vintage cards he puts them in a humidor
