- Removing & replacing both the cush hub bearings and rear wheel bearings on the KTM 690 Enduro (2018 model) without any special tools. A large bench vise or press will be handy though. Sorry for the mumbling, but you know that's what I do best!

For our foreign viewers, we can see Josh wearing his accredited Australian safety shoes while performing said bearing change . Cheers 🍻
Safety first mate, shit can go sideways in the blink of an eye 😬🍻
Cheers josh ,thanks for sharing ,ye I always put more grease in 👋🤠👍
Well done. That is a nice showing of a process that needs to be done carefully.
Cheers 🍻
👍Well done Josh, I use the same bearing removal tool, 3/8 drive socket extension and buy my bearings from a bearing shop (rather than the same part # in a plastic bag from Honda/Ktm etc)Cheers mate 🍻🍻
Yeah local bearing shops are the go 🍻 Cheers Mike
Proof that the hammer is the most versatile tool in the garage🙂
💪 if in doubt get the hammer out
ALL BALLS!!! now that is a name I haven't heard in a long long time! ahaha great job Josh!!!
😅
Stick your new bearings in the freezer while you're removing the old ones. Can help with fitting them.
I've tried that a couple times mate and ended up with nothing but cold fingers and condensation everywhere. I'm sure it helps to some degree but I don't bother 😁 cheers
Happy 2024 Josh! I've found most bearings have next to no grease on one side so best to top up on both sides. With you re more grease = less water for sure! For driving in the new bearings I use a similar method ie old bearing but I skim about .25mm or so off the OD with the bench grinder so it also lifts out. All Balls stand up to their name, hope these are better!
Cheers mate 🍻
Josh, I wish you were my Teacher! I would've been much smarter! 👍🤣
Much dodgier I'd say 😉
Nice one Josh, thanks again! 😁👍
🙏🙏

Blind bearing puller sets are cheap, worth their weight for bearing changes :-)
Not THAT cheap 😉 but hey whatever works for ya!
@@MVDBR Ok, guess I'm not allowed to reference that particular site or something... $35-$50 is pretty bloody cheap. Hopefully I'm not treading on toes this time lol
Why what happened lol
@@MVDBR I posted about a particular online retailer... I'm guessing YT's auto moderator deleted it to keep advertisers happy, it seems to have gotten particularly aggressive recently.
More grease the better
