Tusen takk for god reportasje (igjen). Beklager at de høyttalerne er stygge, helt forferdelige, som andre Vivid høyttalere. B&W Nautilus derimot er utrolig fascinerende flotte.
@@royrogers7644 What? I'm sure John Dunlavy would not have agreed. The spec for these speakers is -1.5 dB at 20 Hz, with room gain 16 Hz is no problem.
You would not be able to buy the drivers in this loudspaker for $20.000. Sometimes you see expensive speakers that have used most money on finish, but these have used a lot on whats giving good sound quality.
What a stupid question. Is an F1 car or space rocket ugly? Put wheels on a coffin and race in an F1 race or rocket engine on the coffin and I dare you to get in there and try for the moon.
The problem is how much does the shape/form of loudspeaker REALLY impact the sound. F1 will not work with different body style, but we still have lots of superb looking speakers which are great sounding. The aero flow over a 300kmh car is also something different than the propagation of sound wave. If the impact of the form of speaker would be so important, we would already have an universal model, every speaker would be almost identical, just like any rocket or F1 car.
@jareknowak8712 Maybe better to compare F1 to ordinary cars. Many cars are big and high SUV’s. People are buying them even if they are not as good to drive. Same with speakers. Many will have a form that suits the interior and not the best for sound. And it also very expensive to make a speaker like the Vivid Moya instead of a MDF-box 😊
@Stereopluss nah, you see coffins are still the norm and I applaud speaker manufacturers that doesn't assemble a few planks. I saw a small bookshelf speaker for 100 000 Euro and it still was a squared box, but kryo and other stuff done to it. Not one is commenting on that and the reason is very easy to explain psychologically. They have coffins at home, they are square boxes themselves and would never buy anything that other people don't and their whole life is a constant fear of what other people think of them, they are imprisoned in their coffins so everything that is different, they react with their worldview and I pity them
Big thanks for this interview with big Master, Mr. Dickie himself. I admire his work a lot. 😊
Thank you 😊

Tusen takk 😊 Jeg elsker de andre Vivid-høyttalerne, men Moya ble litt for mye.
Do you want mickey mouse shaped speakers?
$450000 and it still has sandcast resistors in the crossover!!!
It`s like buying a BMW... cost 3 times of a "normal" car... only this speaker cost 1000 times more than "normal" speakers
and yes it is still copper, magnet and vibrating membrane
Still no review measurements?
No. But I have heard them and they are going extremly deep in the bass. They say 19 Hz themselfes and I think that can be true 😊
@@Stereopluss My Dunlavy SC-V have no problem with 16 Hz organ pedal.
@@BB.......... no but the 16 Hz is going into intermodulation, its not a "clean" 16 Hz sinewave coming from that speaker.

🖤👍thankyou for the wonderful interview! judgement of aesthetics withheld until an "all expenses paid" personal sonic audition has been extended..🤗😁
Thank you 😊 and the sound is beautiful 🥰
Stygg, helt klart, grusom stygg faktisk.
Makes me nauseous just looking at it.
Ha I just paid $450,000 for a set of $20,000 speakers. Are you impressed?
