Meister Eckhart, the 14th century mediaeval mystic, shattered theological boundaries and beckoned humanity to a transcendent realm, challenging minds to grasp the ungraspable and inviting souls to dance with the divine.
Meister Eckhart's extraordinary mysticism is rooted in a profound understanding of the intimate relationship between the human soul and the divine.
Eckhart's teachings deeply challenged the spiritual understanding of the time.
He pointed to a God beyond conceptualisation.
A God with which one could have an unmediated communion.
Eckhart’s exploration of the "ground of the soul" reveals the very essence of human existence.
His spiritual concepts of the relationship between the Godhead and God still have the capacity to awaken one spiritually and to radically change one’s understanding of the Divine.
Meister Eckhart’s insights have not only inspired innumerable spiritual seekers, but also informed and inspired many of the deepest thinkers of Western philosophy, such as Martin Heidegger.
Today, Eckhart continues to invite contemplation and dialogue at the intersection of profound spirituality and radical intellectual inquiry.
Born in 1260, Eckhart's life unfolded in an era marked by intellectual ferment, religious fervour, and political upheaval.
Eckhart entered the Dominican Order at an early age, and began to pursue spiritual knowledge within the confines of a monastic setting.
Dominican friars are well-known for their commitment to scholarship and they provided Eckhart with a platform to immerse himself in Christian theological thought.

    What a beautiful meditation.
    Thank You!
My only knowledge about Meister Eckhart is from this quote:
"The only thing that burns in hell is the part of you that won't let go of your life: your memories and attachments. They burn them all away, but they're not punishing you, they're freeing your soul. If you're frightened of dying and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. If you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels freeing you from the earth."
I will have to research his writings further.

The Christian mystics are no different than a Sufi mystic or any other being witnessing truth apart from illusion. In the hierarchy of realization denominations mean nothing outside of further division through ideology. One cannot be better than the other within truth. A single thought is additive and only creates illusion when seen through a perspective that only sees the person. Recognize both the person (your/mine ego) and thought and see that you can know both apart from each other.

Why do you think he was ahead of his time? He was simply repeating teachings which had been around for at least 4,000 years, even in his time. What he was saying around 1300 AD had been said by the Hindu sages at least since 3 000 BCE. He wrote with a Christian flavour, but that's to be expected. Even with this addition, what he taught was also expressed by the early Desert Fathers, 1 000 years before.

  • @Chatgptpluginsreview

    I have 2 cents, and I didn’t want to do this but…
This state of liberation is very magnetic, very receptive and revealing. In the all is where all reveals itself. You’ll end up choosing a lane, naturally you’ll be guided there, you’ll know. In that lane when you express something you become electric, you stop the compounding nature of the all that is receptive, this is where the danger is yet not if you never leave the place of origin within… When this happens you drop a level back or in perception you leave that state for a moment and have to not only return but return with the mindset that you know nothing, that you never left. The fib sequence is one step back, two forward, repeat. In other words you have to live, share and move along. Stay in that state by immediately realizing you never left and you’ll proceed forward as you take in the surroundings that you descended to according to the way your electric nature was received, the ascension back is natural when you’re open. Mind you it’s dangerous because reception mirrors back the illusion. It is all here, you have to dance with it and just as you take a step back, the eternal awareness that you’ve let go will have it so nature propels you back to your place of origin and with that cessation of control momentum will carry you another step forward. That step forward will bring you more of what abundance has had in store, it’s beautiful. It’s an elegant dance where all is watching and all is dancing together.
    Peace and love.

In the dance of the soul, where whispers echo in the heart,
A rhythm unfolds, in life's sacred art.
In each step backward, a wisdom gained,
Forward we leap, in the cosmic terrain.
Through valleys of shadows, over mountains of light,
Our spirits wander, in day and in night.
Detached yet connected, in this worldly play,
Finding our essence, in the fray.
Breathe in, breathe out, the cycle flows,
In the garden of the soul, the mystic rose grows.
The dance of existence, a tapestry divine,
Each thread intertwined, in the grand design.
The journey inward, a path to the stars,
Through layers of being, breaking invisible bars.
In unity we find, the echo of our call,
In the heart's silent chamber, where the veils fall.
The world a stage, our roles we play,
Yet in the soul's light, true colors display.
In this dance, a sacred communion,
With the universe, in mystical union.
So let us dance, with hearts wide open,
In the rhythm of existence, unspoken.
For in this dance, we find our way,
To the essence of being, in eternal sway.

It's almost like a form of _SHAMANism_ in some ways (or perhaps, the _collision of_ Mysticism - the contemplative pursuit of the ultimate, with Shamanism - the ability to _practically commune_ with "the whys" of things). Note that one can suggest the whole colonial, prohibitionist and other such set of enterprises can be understood as a subtle and broad persecution of _SHAMAN_ ism that States and Churches wanted. Churches suppress SHAMANism because SHAMANism due to its directly _accessing_ and not merely _contemplative_ aspect, threatens their ability to _control_ knowledge and thus their _power_ hegemony. It's all about power. "Follow the money" is not nearly as good as "follow the POWER". It's where the POWER is, that's where the evil motive is. Power both corrupts and draws the corruptible. Power is so hard to handle, and indeed what Anarchism can be thought of as is as nothing more or less than the ultimate admission of humility, that no human being is perfect and integrityful enough to be truly fit for power and that in every other scheme we come up with, we are fooling ourselves, even with the most liberal ones.

We should not put the cart before the horse to realize "ourselves." The cart is the silence of infinity which is called Universal Consciousness. The horse is what is going on with what is called "our" Universal Mind which is "our" shared Group Soul. Once we recognize our shared Universal Mind in each other we realize everything of Universal Comsciousness. This is the awareness of what is called in yoga the "subtle body. Once this is realized there is no more intellectual speculation because as the most powerful koan in the world goes: WORDS ARE TRAPS.

intellectualism is the godhead, but not the way to god. as said here, only in pressence can god be experienced.
now you have to be present to catch a ball or drive a car, but this is not the wHoly state required, it is only the Alpha beginning. the wHoly is a process between the Alpha and Omega's completion, an implosion we know as Bliss, and we all Know Bliss within this Lifes experience, so we remember, recognize IT.
Bliss is the implosion of Consciouness to zero point.
eg. you notice a thing, your preferred point of attention, a flower(any thing in or out), and you want more(wHoly, all of IT) so you lean in for a smell, a texture, anything more. what happens,?
a modicum of Bliss's ecstacy. this is the first stage, phase of implosion, and where most stop the implosion to Bliss zero point where all the flower is is revealed, wHoly zero point.
if you keep going all THE WAY to Omega, you WILL remember, recognize wHoly Bliss,
I leave the conclusions to your revealation

“My second name today is Eckhart. I would have loved for him to have been born in the East. To be born among Germans and then to write or speak about the ultimate is a difficult job. But the poor man did it, and did it perfectly. Germans are Germans; whatsoever they do, they do it perfectly. Even today it seems one German sannyasin is still knocking. Perfection! Listen to his knocks, how beautiful they sound amidst all this silence. It is a wonder that Eckhart, among the Germans, the most male chauvinist race in the world, remained yet in his heart, and spoke from there. Uneducated, poor, of no political status, of no economic status, of no status at all - just a beggar, but so rich. Very few people have been so rich. Rich in his being - his BEING. Write BEING in capital letters. These two words, being and becoming, have to be understood. Becoming is a process with no beginning and no end, a continuum. But being is not a process at all, it simply is. Call it is-ness, and you will be very close to it. Being is neither of time nor of space, it is a transcendence. Transcendence - again, write TRANSCENDENCE in capital letters. Alas that you cannot write it in golden letters. It is a word that should be written in gold, pure gold - not eighteen carat but twenty-four carat, one hundred percent gold.”

Was the intention of guided meditation “a 100 metre sprint to nothingness ?” 😂
better guided meditation would be where there is no rushing like this one.

Being vs NonBeing or Personal vs Impersonal or Dualism vs NonDualism.....How many debates are held in this topic. For me it's simple or complicated as it's the question "Which is first - the chicken or the egg?" Such a questions are important and silly at the same time. God did not created our personalities or egos to kill them. Our individuality is necessary. Too much individuality created egoism and too less individuality creates pathetic died "zombi personal".
Such a explanations are useless and paradoxical because every saints is telling that noone can explain what God is but they are giving explanations on the same time.
There are so many religions and doctrines and paths to God and they are all like receipts for bread. You may read 10000+ but you will know what bread is when you Taste it.
For all Searcher out there - give a real reasonable freedom to you soul and hearth and the soul knows what to do. When you give a bread to your stomach - do you explain to it what to do with it?
Pray from heart and light the candle within you. Invite God and God will come. God likes clean hearts and reasonable minds.

I just don't see how there could be any logic behind nothingness, pure potentiality giving birth to God? Nothingness posseses no quality which could cause the creator. Feel free to respond to my comment.

      How does silence produce sound?
How does the first thought come?
      It's not "nothing", it's nothing-ness.
Why do we call it nothing-ness? Because it's not an object to you (So you can't point to it in your mind), nor is it nothing.

Sounds like just bad poetry to me? "Enlightenment" obviously isn't all it's cracked up to be, is it? I expect something that would make even the sudden appearance of aliens with advanced technology mundane.
