It is more important to have a happy life than to have a successful life because success can defined in many ways. Just being happy is a success on itself.
    -Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago

'Just being happy is a success in itself'.. And when she said, 'You want a fair share of happiness, then you have to have a fair share of sadness'...those lines she said struck me.. #TruthOfLife

No parent should have to bury their child. It should be the other way around - children should be the one burying their parents who lived life til old age. But we know that doesn't always happen. And it's heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking for a mother to lose her child. It's something you will never get over or move on. You can only live with it and move forward, hoping someday when you die you'll see your child again. I hope Madam Miriam is happy now and is with her youngest son. We remember you, MDS.♥️

I agree. You "get over" a heartbreak, the loss of you cellphone, the loss of your house to a fire, yung nascam na pera sayo. Pero yun get over it sa pagkamatay ng anak mo, walang ganun sa mga ina. There's only the acceptance that it happened and you're going to live your life without them.

That's I've been thinking on the issue of time she has for her kids especially during their formative years. I practically grew up without a mother because she is always busy. And then she died when I was a teenager with cancer. It was sad because I've never been close to her, may sama ako ng loob sa kanya. There is these emptiness inside of me till now, I am already 50 years old and may be till death. It's good I have a deep faith in God which I got ftom my late father to be my armor.

same as you madam ,i dont have time for my kids coz i have to do so something for us whom i thought was the right thing.un til i lost one of my son too.i finally realized that i should have spend time with them but then if i did perhaps they will end up in the street.i still feel bad about what happen to my son and i still feel guilty and i know being busy is not an excuse.....i had 2 sons and the eldest was the one died and the youngest is now 16 and were not that close but im trying to be more cuddly ,if i had spare time i make sure i say i love you and good night and attend to waht ever activity at school.i sometimes sneak into his bed and nap beside him and i know he likes it too even if we both feel awkward,we are working on it.i know our kids love us and when they grow older they will learn to understand what we are doing is for them and for our passion to help others.....i believe in you madam....i will vote for you and i will give you 100 votes .i will make sure that all and everyone i know will vote for you.....we believe in you ,
