It blows my mind how few of the newer games can’t hit 60fps 1440p Ultra with this level of a set up. That’s not a knock on the 7800x3d it’s more about how poor newer games are optimized.
Im not too picky, even on absurd 7800x3d and 4070 i'd enable dlss and probably use high/ultra depending on whether i notice a difference or not. Favor high fps personally.
You nailed it, optimisation. Cyberpunk looks better than all the other games here while still having better fps than most
This is also with raytracing keep in mind, disable the raytracing and the performance at 1440 and 4k will be waaaay better than this video. +not using dlss or frame generation
@@lilgustav5065 These test should disable it, no one uses rt because it makes games unplayable if you dont have the best gpu on the market
The pro’s of the 4070 have not been used here, talking bout dlss and frame generation in some games, results can be freaking awesome even with rt on ultra
keep up the good work, deserve mo pa ng more subscribers!
the only benchmark channel i know that shows the actual components used. keep it up bro.
Mahal kasi parts dito saamin
thanks looking to buy this combo and this helped
Bro.. this is so helpful.. now I can see that 12400f is very capable handling this GPU at 2k 1440p... the frame rate is almost the same when using faster CPU in 2k...
thnks bro... 😄
You know its a trustworthy source when they go into that town square in Witcher. That area gave the best cards a run for their money back in the day.
Love this honest benchmark, thanks for the job ! I've got this combo on a brand new setup with the Aorus B650e ax, had to return the Asus Z670 ordered because they messed up this time. Asus must be avoided with this cpu. At first, I only installed the nvidia software and no other updates. Hogwarts Legacy was running with about the same perf as on the video. But after installing ryzen Master, updated to F5bBios, updated chipset drivers, removed the GCC, I watched my wife playing yesterday at over 120fps, with peaks up to 177fps during fights. EXPO ON. So this 7800x3d is a jewel that deserves good optimisation for a roughly 30fps gain. (Outside, you can't beat 90-110 because the gpu will crash @3KMhz). So avoid Asus and you'll be happy to have a total 250watts trp setup that beats setups twice the price or that eats 600w trp. Imho it's quite a bang for the buck even for a 600 bucks, both the gpu and cpu work and learn together efficiently. It's like this 7800x3d makes your gpu run better. (Tip for a smooth HL experience is to delete shaders in the windows file every couple games and set nvidia anti lag to ultra)
any results with frame generation? id be interested to know its the only reason i'd go 40 series over a 30 series with the 7800X3D, seems like a big oversight to not include it. for cyberpunk for example.
7800x3d using only like 40w while gaming. That's just awesome
the 4070 is real low valtage too
Jegs you are the best. Keep doing what you're doing!!!!!!
Thanks bro. Made my day
For 1440p gaming, the 4070 is tough to beat from a price/performance standpoint. Everything costs more these days. Reduced power consumption and small form factor are bonus.
dont forget, that this AMD CPU is a beast.
This comment aged like cheese
@@Cheexswhy?
@@Naps_8it didn’t he is just a hater
i am thinking to do that build has another option for cpu? or the 7800x3d it's just a monster overall and if i can it's better to expend into AM5 Motherboard and DDR5, or there is another better option comparing heat/TDP and performance?
Hi.
Can you test i5 13400f + rtx 3070 vs i5 12400f + rtx 3070 TI?
Pre pwidi samahan mo ng fighting games ung future benchmarks mo?
I am so sorry that at that time he did not know about the game Black Desert Online and, accordingly, did not include it in the list of test games.
i started playing bdo in 2020. i only included the game on my testing list in 2023
@@JegsTV I also started playing in 2020, in November ))
excellent video
Dostum 7800x3d aldim 1080p 360hz de cs2 oynamak istiyorum islemciyi sogutabilir miyim? Yoksa 1440p 144 hz le mi? yola devam edeyim.
You should try turning off ray tracing on jedi survivor
, It helps a lot with the fps problem.
yeah, settings were shown.
Im considering upgrading my entire system with this same CPU and going for the 4070 TI. In your testing, did the CPU here bottleneck your GPU?! I dont understand how it works.
this was all limited by GPU
The 4070 should be good for a couple of years at 1440p on high detail.
How many years are you referring? I’m new in this thing wanna build my 1st pc with same cpu gpu in this video or should i go with i7 k one?
@@Jsutdo
2 maybe 3 years max .
The 30 series is still holding up pretty well
Great comparison, i’m building a system like this, is it still worth it in 2024?
No. get the RTX 4070 Super or RX 7900 GRE instead
I got the i7 7700 non k and 4070 non ti , is that gonna be a bad combo? Gonna take some time to upgrade the CPU coz the 4070 is just a big purchase
Youre going to have huge bottlenecks on that combo bro. Either you upgrade to a better cpu or play on at least 1440p to avoid the bottleneck.
@@JegsTV yep i got 1440p reso is that playable?
@@gibborellana1957 yeah its playable. But still upgrade your cpu down the line. Youre leaving way too much performance on the table.
@@JegsTV Thanks dude i will upgrade soon when have the budget
Can you show Valorant low setings in this setup please?
Im thinking of buying this exact combo with a ASUS prime x670-p motherboard, now im a virgin at this and ive seen a few comments about the 12gb vram would this because a huge issue, or am i best opting for the cheaper 3080ti with ryzen 9 CPU and a
B550 WIFI AX ATX Motherboard, but obviously thats even less vram with 8gb
And yet, no matter what anyone says, the 4070 was created for those who have never had a gaming PC and simply have nothing to compare with.
So I'll buy this video card tomorrow, and I'll be happy. This will be my first video card. The configuration is as follows: s590, 11700, 32GB ddr4, and 4070 will be an excellent help for modern games in a not particularly demanding picture resolution.
Although, if I already had a 20, 30 series graphics card, then the 4070 would be a scam for me and a lot of people in both price and performance haha.
nice build. good luck bro.
Buy the 6950 xt and be happy for next 3-4 years. 4070 is dead on arrival with 12gb vram. Kept crashing for me on resident evil 4 remake due to lack of vram. Now with 16gb vram with 6950 xt Never crashes and runs great.
@@eplugplay8409 I looked at reviews on 4070 and Resident Evil 4, and nothing crashes for anyone. Moreover, it is not necessary to always play at ultra settings, and I will somehow survive this, but I would not risk trying AMD, because purchases of such a plan are very expensive in my region, and you can’t just take risks. But you are also right in part in something that AMD is a good performance. And even more so, I already have an order for 4070 paid for, tomorrow I will pick it up, haha.
@@lvan_lvanov I did not set to ultra settings for everything. One of the options I flipped on to highest settings and it gave me that infamous crash message a few times. I set everything to ultra on the 6950 XT and never once crashed or stutter or had issues. Used up 13.6GB VRAM and ran like a champ getting 85fps or higher. Performance I can get close to 120fps and runs amazingly! I paid $571 so far less than the 4070, never made sense to why get the 4070 when a 6950 XT is available at a steep discount is beyond me!
@@lvan_lvanov Is there anyway you can return the 4070? 12GB of Vram is going to be an issue in the near future. You would be better off getting a 6950XT like the other person said it’s going to outlast the 4070 in terms of performance.
So if I had a 3060 and ryzen 5 5600g this would be a worthy upgrade?
sure
Is the 7800X3D making the high FPS possible with the 4070? I feel no need to get a 7900X, if the 7800X3D can get decent FPS at 1440 with a 4070 graphics card? Someone explain. I'll be buying the MSI MPG B650 Edge WiFi Gaming Motherboard tomorrow? Is this possible with that motherboard?
No. The same fps can be had on other decent cpus. Like the one youre planning to use. The 7800x3d is merely maximizing the full potential of the gpu. Heck even a 5600x can get the same fps on 1440p and 4k as its not limiting the card.
@@JegsTV Thank you for replying. Will the MSI MPG B650 Edge Wifi Gaming Motherboard work well with the 4070 and the 7800X3D?
@@Hollywood1127 i dont see any reason why it shouldnt. but as a precaution update to the latest bios and check your SOC voltages from time to time.
@@JegsTV Thanks for the information. The motherboard is one of the most important pieces, so I wanted to make sure the one I'm getting is suitable for this level of gameplay. MSI MPG B650 Edge Wifi.
Imo 7600x is cheaper and performs almost the same as 7800x3d in 1440p
with the ryzen 7 5800x3d and rtx 4070 I shouldn't have stuttering or bottleneck problems right?
Yea. You good.
@@JegsTVOk thank you
@@JegsTV hello , Is it better to have a Ryzen 7 5800x3d or a Ryzen 9 5900x?
You should test some other game like fortnite , gta ...
You really shouldn't use DLSS 3 because this should be a GPU benchmark and not the software showcase with fake frames :/ DLSS 2 is a different story but still would be nice to compare the real performance and then compare it with DLSS 2 and 3. Good job!
Жаль у меня нет денег на игровой пк, я так хотел сыграть в игры, но на моем слабом ноутбуке это не возможно(даже в старые игры)
Ah yes.
Interesting
🤔🤔🤔
Finally
a bit dissapointed i expected more
I have same
Fps with amd 7500F and rtx 4070 super. That cpu gets to much credit.
Muito fraco em 4k.
Decepcionante.
to be fair, the card was advertised mainly for 1440p.
Mesma coisa que acontece com a 4070Ti, mas no Brasil "infelizmente", ela é o melhor CXB.. Tem otários pagando 5.500 reais em uma 4070 ti 12GB.. com 20~25% a mais de performance em 4k...
Frame timings are awful for 1080p
What better Nvidia GPU for 1080 p ?
why u dont turn on scaling
