  • Watch our very own Gary Sinise share about our heroic sendoff for the nation’s oldest living Pearl Harbor Survivor and WWII Veteran, U.S. Army PFC Joseph Eskenazi. Through our Soaring Valor program, we’re sending Joseph to ‪@wwiimuseum‬ via Amtrak to celebrate his 105th birthday with his fellow WWII veterans and family. Special thanks to ‪@amtrak‬, ‪@unionstationlosangeles6521‬, and all who support our efforts to make this memorable trip possible. Enjoy the video!

My Dad was a WWII Veteran! I wish he could have seen the WWII Museum before he died. We lost him 2 years ago, the week before his 96th birthday! It's hard to believe that that sweet funny man would be 98yrs old now. Miss you Daddy!!!🥰 Thank you Gary Sinise for everything you do for our veterans!!! 🇺🇲🇺🇸

For the past 5 years, I've had the honor and privilege of both knowing and speaking, on numerous occasions, with Joe Eskenazi. His first hand, personal accounts of what happened on the morning of the Pearl Harbor attack are immensely riveting. It's, as if, he's describing scenes from a violently graphic war movie, but it's true. He is truly a living legend !!!

This message is off-topic. I saw the Grateful video. I want to say Thanks because you were my inspiration to play the bass guitar. I was a musician and i was lost my motivation to play my guitar and keyboard and someday I saw You playing. Amazing. Thanks.
    Sorry about my English.

Got a R.E.D. Tshirt bought just for Fridays. Don’t wear it any other day! I encourage everyone who reads this to do the same. When my husband was so near to death I purchased a red Tshirt for him, slit it up the back as far as the neck line and dressed him in it as a last tribute to all those he served in Vietnam with and under who might not have made it back, as well as a final tribute to all service members who have been deployed before and after him.

When I took a trip to surprise my bro to see Kobe play one last time there we went to the ww2 museum and it was a history lesson and reminded us that the price that was paid to have the freedom from an alternate universe that could have been. If your a war buff or love history this is a must on your list.

I think his role in Forrest Gump was somehow a turning point in his life. I hadn't heard much about his work with his foundation prior to that. I've seen him put more interest in helping vets of all wars and branches of the military than anyone else in Hollywood. I can't say enough good things about him. A very talented actor who gives of his heart!

I think you mean Forest Gump. He wasn't in Saving Private Ryan.
