Woman you're incredible! People don't realize just how much grip strength you use and how quickly it leaves you after just a few obstacles. You're an inspiration and a true hero!
Watching you go through all of this was both inspiring and heartbreaking honestly. But through all the challenges, all the cuts, bumps, bruises, hits, slips, you still manage to raise your head up high, keep that energy flowing, and still manage to go on and finish. If that is not true dedication and motivation, then I don't know what is. It proves that through many challenges you still manage to keep going and finish, especially with a smile on your face. That is truly something to be proud of. From the bottom of my heart, I'm so proud of you Grace. You truly are an inspiration to us. Much love! 😊
you are an amazing person, strength, beauty, and smarts. I came to your youtube channel for the tech but I am so happy you linked this video of you demonstrating your driven will and humanity as expressed in this your participation of this obstacle race.
I know you can do anything grace. I believe in you. Thank you for believing on me too and helping me with getting in the right path to fitness. Your kind words really helped out a lot. Thank you.
You...did...amazing! Whether or not you completed each obstacle is irrelevant; the fact that you kept TRYING was incredible. "fall down 7 times, get up 8!" I heart hurt watching your expressions towards the end - please take solace in the fact that several of my friends whom run Elite talked about how tough those obstacles were....sending you a GIANT virtual hug and hopefully, you will be back in 2019 (by the way, if you haven't already, look into getting some shoes designed for OCRs...) Best of luck and keep being YOU!
Thank you so much! No regrets, I put my heart and soul into that race. I learnt a lot about myself! I have better shoes now, it makes a big difference! Not sure if I’ll return to World Champs for the UK race, I might wait and see what the location is in 2020! :)
That was *Incredible!* So Inspiring Grace, you're a BEAST! _MY_ hands hurt just watching! I loved seeing the good sportsmanship and encouragement between you all, that hug was so heartwarming. Proud of you! 😎👍
+Pixxie Spit Thank you, Pixxie! The sportsmanship in OCR is honestly like no other sport I've ever witnessed. I cut out the audio for the most part but the whole time there are people, who you've never even met, who are screaming and cheering for you. It's a really positive and caring community!
That was so inspirational to watch. The mental endurance alone it would take to go through a challenge like that is more than most could bare. I was also surprised to see mostly women in the event or maybe it was just the women's section? Either way its inspirational to see so many people pushing themselves. You did excellent for your first time. Far better than I ever could. I'm glad you uploaded this. Thank you.
+Tiny Star no, thank you for this comment! I'm so glad I could share this with you all and hopefully motivate others to push themselves! As for the women, the races were run in different waves. My wave was Women aged 24-29 so we were all running at the same time. It prevents congestion and traffic at obstacles so you don't get held up.
Go grace! Now I wanna do a 15km obstacle course! Though I’d die on the second obstacle. Also I love the music, it feels like your in Uncharted or something haha
Oh missed that bit that spartan events were on the list to qualify. Challenge yourself Do it with a weight vest like night attack :P. Only 67 days till the next one with the added bonus of some sweet riverland sangria and plenty of mud ;)
Hey Grace this might be dumb but have your every thought about trying American Ninja Warrior, I'm not to sure if you half to live in America or not, but I've seen how much you love those types of things, and it would be amazing to see someone finally win it, btw love your videos and keep kicking ass.
There is an Australia Ninja Warrior, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. The people who win those shows are serious athletes! I'd like to audition one day, but not just yet.
A lot of people are failing on the grip strength area, failed to train their grip, its a common mistake many amateur OCR runners make. I made that mistake on my first 3 OCR's. Just buy a doorway pullup bar and everyone morning you wake up, dead hang on it until failure then do it again before bed everyday. In a few months of doing that everyday your grip strength will laugh at these obstacle courses.
Oh man, that was brutal. I'm sitting at work all fidgeting and stuff. If anybody saw me, they'd think is was having a seizure. I'm like "Go Grace Go" and then its "Push Push", "Grab it, come'on Grab it!" I usually don't get this emotional at work. Great job!!! I think if you want it bad enough, you could be a top competitor at OCR. I'll be watching and rooting.

Thank you so much ^.^
Grip is a HUGE part of obstacle course racing and you’re right, it’s one of the first things to go if you don’t train right.

Thank you so much ^.^ I like to remind people from time to time that there are amazing things to be done outside of gaming! Thanks for watching!
One of the best video to get me ready for OCRWC. We see how it is hard, we see all the obstacles. A big thank you from Québec girl! 💪💙🤍
