I looked the NT45 and the CFG (yellow one in your video) the other day at auction. I agree that the CFG is way nicer fit and finish than the AGT. Biggest concern I had with the CFG is the computer screen. If it goes out or you have computer issues I'd be concerned there would be zero support to resolve it from the manufacturer. I liked the simplicity of the AGT just from a lack of warranty perspective. Good video!

Keep in mind that these machines are in metric. A 2800kg machine is 2.8 tonnes. That may be indeed 3 tons (6000lbs) but they are rated in metric. Realistically, it doesn't really matter as they would all be considered to be in the 3 tonne class. Thanks for review/comparison. Appreciate this video, I was torn between the KU-45 & STE35SR. Given the extra weight of the KU-45 I was leaning towards it however I could not get past it not having a hydraulic thumb and from the looks of it I do not know how you would add one w/o some cutting and welding involved. Appreciate you pointing out the other details as well like the A/C unit and build quality of the 2 units.
Nice video. At one point I considered each of these models and ultimately went with Jiahe JH35. Rated 3.5 ton machine, weighs in at almost 4000kg. So much better with Kubota D1703 and since I ordered it from China direct, got to spec it to my use.
I suppose most people don't want to deal with all the importing hassle and uncertainty of the buying process etc. At least that's what steers me away from buying a machine direct.
@@hhunt2527 that's kind of dum thinking! Why not go directly to the farmer for fresh chicken ,rather then pay the butcher his upcharges! Never be afraid of dealing directly with a wholesaler,or retailer, they don't bite,and you just might get a better deal from tge wholesalers!
To use the swing boom there should be a button on top of the left joystick, press and hold it while moving the joystick left and right. Took me forever to figure it out on mine. I really don’t like the design of it
Thanks for the comparison. I have seen these showing up at auctions and your video shows a lot that you can't see in the photos. The poor fit and finish is evident on the red one. The green one looks easier to work on and bigger inside the cabin. Others complain they are hard to get in and out of. Is this an issue, or only for American sized humans? I hope you publish more footage when you start using yours.

No you dont want the hydraulic hoses running thru the boom like that.. because they will leak and they will rub and you will hVe to change those hoses. If your in tree tops with a mini and bush whacking you clean your work area so that you dont break hoses off them. I run a 330-336 and 349 cats and no matter what some operators find a way to bust them off, or good ones manage to not break anything off.
I use to work for a machine rental company and broken hydraulic lines were a common issue. Based on that is why I prefer them through the boom. That does make sense about them rubbing and leaking
@@restoration-projects i run excavators for a living, and if your careless and not watch for big branches and buildings, sharp objects then yea your gonna bust fittings, maybe not bust hoses but bend and break crimp fittings. I am currently on a Rottne F15D Forwarder in the bush logging and I can keep it off the big branches, a mini that size I couldn't see a issue of busting hoses inless its just careless. Same goes for counterweights on the 313, 323, 330 Nex Gen cats, and a cat 336E, ppl scratch them, but I manage to not scratch them being abit more cautious
Nt45 is a dream for any repairs which there will be. The engine bay has room to play in. The ku and ste are nicer but do have other cons. Yellow boom pivots look weak compared to the ku.
I own the ste 35sr , great machine no problems at all. That being said that the machine is good, I can’t find maintenance filters anywhere. I contacted AGT through e-mails and they say out of stock on all filters yet they still are selling them brand new on there website. You can’t maintain the machine. Does anyone know where to find the filters?
To add to my comments;I've been looking at these for about 2 yrs,for the either .8 ton or 1 ton first you should notice,is 90% of the smaller diggers have a very short and narrow track, which means it's only good on flat ground, not on a mining claim...maybe,and the stability is bad,another utuber had his flip over! #2 is the speed,but let me stop there,the web pages of these Chinese mini excavators used to have more detail, including the speed of these,engine type, hydraulic pump make,and other data. The speed of some is at or about 2 kilometres, which is about 1.2 mph,and babies crawl faster! I said to High Top,( High top brokers these under differen labels)that,and they said that if I buy the dual pump hydraulic system,it goes faster, do they did "race two ,1 only supposedly had just a single pump,the other a deal pump,which is supposed to make it go faster,neither go very fast in the race demo! Decals,all in Chinese! Why,if you sell to an English speaking country, put it in English! Or whatever is the current language. The digging depth ,look at how short the forearm is,this is good for trenching to about 5 feet or so,but not deeper! I noticed a lot copy each other ! Cab size,made for Chinese size man,not us! I could go on,but one Chinese sales person said ,if you want a better machine, go to 2 tons or higher! I forgot to mention some have retractable tracks,nice option. The engines on the smaller one are a single piston job,but choices are available .😅
I hate to tell the dude but all of them are gray Market excavators he's going to have a hard time finding any parts even if he contacts the company that says they make them will probably not send them the parts
Stop putting down machines just because you don't know . Kubota was the same way . Now one of the biggest brands . You talk like you are upset that you can't get the machine you want .
Those Chinese Excavstors are not the thing to buy if you are looking for a "great fit and finish"... your getting what you pay for, a cheap and easy way into the excavation industry. If you go and buy a Chineze Side By Side compared to a Polaris, same thing, you wont get the same customer service and also the support, parts and stuff like that. Your acting like your buying a Cat 301 or 303... but with a Chinese market budget.
Also be careful with thumbs, you may not know but these little machines dont come with Relief valve pressure set for the thumb.. so you go and pick up a rock and you try to curl at the same time you will bend the cylinder, because the bucket pressure is supposed to be greater then the thumb cylinder.. so you want to never curl at the same time your picking something up. You can get someone to set that, so the thumb goes back into place and fluid goes back to the tank as you curl the bucket. Or take your chances of bending the rod and trying to do it with your thumb/foot, opening the thumb as you curl the bucket.
Have you had any issues with fuel leaking from bottom of tank cylinder type drain thing that hangs off the bottom?. . So ridiculous! The gasket is out of stock in China! Give me a fukin break!

They are an auction house. Not a dealer. They don't know anything about these machines. They are just the place sellers come to sell them.

How do you turn on the heat in the CFG KU45? The rotating knob only appears to operate the A/C.

I want to try specing out a machine, but the import process is intimidating. It is so easy to buy machines that are already here at auctions

The design of the cab makes it hard to get in and out of for most people, I think Americans complain more because we're more likely to be plus sized
You have to hold the button down on the left joystick while you turn to the left or right and it will control your boom while you hit that pedal

A metric tonne is 1000 kgs (2200 lbs), whereas a ton is 2000 lbs.

Did you try taking a filter to NAPA to match it up?

How could you fix the thumb problem
Cutting and welding the hydraulic ram mounts further up the boom. or changing where the cylinder mounts to the thumb
