Who are The Stitch Sisters?
We are Nikki and Rachel, best friends and sewing enthusiasts who run online sewing classes and sewing courses for anyone wanting to learn to sew. Dear Rachel, dear Nikki, I am so happy that you started your online classes. As a medium advanced sewist, I appreciate them so much, I live in Germany and wouldn't have to attend your class in person. My favourite one is the overlocker class.

This was excellent. I really enjoyed getting to know you a little bit and learning your story. So many of us who sew have started one way or another. I started as a child in a textile family and dropped it picked it up dropped it etc. and now I’m really looking for classes online where I can learn much more about how to fit my 70 year old body. Thanks so much. looking forward to taking some of your classes

Your story is still moving and inspiring. Have been following you for several years, so most wasn’t new. Still nice to hear. One question: next time could you show the questions just a little bit longer or repeat the question verbally? It was too quick to read them. Could guess it out of the comversation. So not major, but it did interrupt without adding much, if you get what I mean. Still 💕💕💕
I love the geeking and the wallowing descriptions. I can now feel clearer about what’s going on with me just now. As a teenager, I made stuff to wear ASAP, the brighter and bolder the better, but then it was the seventies, lol. Now, at 66, Returning to sewing during the first UK lockdown, I’ve surprised myself in the huge difference in how I now do things. Though still very much a learner again, I am doing your shirt course and watch and re-watch, and re-watch again, that has given me the confidence to work stuff out for myself now, and reinforces the feeling that I’m making good progress on projects that stretch me, and I find that I’m congratulating myself, lol, celebrating my small wins, and feeling great that I’m achieving better results, including patience with mistakes, arduous, unpicking and restructuring tasks etc etc!! I have loved having you two on my journey with me as inspiring ‘mentors’ and bright and cheery ‘sewing mates’, lol x Thanks for this lovely personal video, Susan x

Lovely to know your beginnings. I discovered your channel as a lifelong home sewer (and fashion school dropout) and had no idea about the classes. I just always loved your friendship and your energy, and watching your episodes is always entertaining!

Am I right - did I take the last class that you ever taught (Santa doorstop)? Also, just curious Nikki - our Fat Quarters are 18 x 22 inches. Is that the measurement of yours? Love watching you both.. Have you thought about doing any more of the "get the look" seasonal videos you did before lockdown i.e. trousers, skirts, dresses? I really enjoyed those.
Yes we have thought about them but covid has gotten in the way for the last couple of years. This year we really wanted to do spring season but our online classes have taken a priority slot! There’s just not enough time ! 🤣

Gillian I can assure you I didn’t have black eyes and yes everything is perfect at home.
It may have just been the lighting or me doing my make up differently. In the months that this video has been posted we have not had any comments like this, except this one.
Please think before posting comments like this, I realise that you are concerned but this comment is not justified and I found it very upsetting this morning.
