    Just received your spindle kit. Great buying experience though shipping and import taxes to Europe does make it somewhat costly. But how great it is to see how you guys keep on innovating. You are truly making some awesome stuff for the CNC community 🏆

    Are the bits axisymmetrical in the part that is grabbed by the ATC? I mean, does the spindle always stop at the same angular position to be able to hold the bits?

    • @PwnCNC
      @PwnCNC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      ISO20 is a standard that defines the removable chuck. that cone shape ensures the tip of the bit is sitting in the exact same z height every time. That z-offset of each tool is stored within the controller for next time.
      The ISO20 cone is pulled tightly into the ATC motor to ensure it's in the same position. The motor also discharges air in various locations to keep dust from building up.

  • @thefilthelement

    With the ATC on the bed, how easy is it to remove/put back on with larger work materials that might need that space?

    This looks really awesome. could you make a video showing just how far you can push that spindle? Maybe comparing it to a Makita router or other spindles to really get an idea of the difference in performance and speed.

    What spindle you using? The OneFinity says not included, but finding an ATC one...?

    • @PwnCNC
      @PwnCNC  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We're using a PwnCNC Spindle System here (pwncnc.com/products/spindle). We also have ATC Systems available that work great with the Onefinity machine.
      Key is to order your Onefinity with the 80mm mount instead of their 65mm mount. You can always shim the 80 down to 65mm to temporarily run a Makita palm router if necessary.
      We've worked closely with Onefinity to ensure our Spindle and ATC Systems are plug-n-play capable.

  • @peterfreedom

    What do you need on the spindle to hold the ER20 collet? How does it hold without any intervention?

    • @PwnCNC
      @PwnCNC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      ER20 is a collet/nut/shaft size standard. These ATC motors use ISO20 tool holders which we order with ER20 collet capabilities. I believe we can get an ISO20 with an ER16 collet but our little business has standardized on the er20 or er11 size products.
      These ATC motors have a draw-bar which grabs hold of the ISO20 tool holder. The drawbar is activated by pneumatics to release the tool.

    Hello friend, that tool change system works for a CNC workbee 1515 xpro v5

    • @PwnCNC
      @PwnCNC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Out of the gate our full ATC functionality will be limited to folks with Masso controllers. However you will be able to use it in MTC mode (th-cam.com/video/IFOkSZM4JEs/w-d-xo.html) which makes bit-changes a push of a button.
      As we research and document more and more CNC Controllers capable of ATC functionality, we will share that understanding. ATM i'm not sure if the xPro v5 is capable of ATC, but we will look into it.

    Is there a way to install the atc and preserve the 4x4 cutting area ?

    • @jermkozac
      @jermkozac ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not. My plan is to make the section of my spoilboard that my tools will be lined up(Y axis) be removable. I rarely have the need for 4x4 sheet, but this will make that possible. I am also having a panel removable on the opposite side to reveal a vertical cut station.

    • @peterfreedom
      @peterfreedom ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I saw a TH-cam video of a guy who did it. The tool holders retracts itself on springs. When the Y axis approach the back , it push on a mechanism that multiply by 5 the movement of the tool holder. I will try to find it back

    When it picked up the taper bit it did t touch the zero plate. Should it have?

    • @PwnCNC

      It is optional. The z offset has already been recorded by the masso so it’s not necessary every bit change.

    Wow, this is great Daniel. Dominating it, buddy. 👍👍
    This doesn't apply to my machine, but, will you ever have something that would hold more than three bits, like if someone wanted to set it up to have 4 or 5 different bits? OR, maybe like a "bit station" where you can put ALL of your bits, vbits, all your upcut/downcut endmills, and leave them there and number them accordingly.
    I think I like that idea!!🤔😄Its brilliant.

      This machine is the Onefinity Elite Woodworker with the 80mm spindle mount costing $3336, it includes the Stiffy rail at $168, and the QCW $378 and Folding legs $368. As pictured i have their XYZ probe at $93 and if you buy their tool-setter that's $75.
      So all-in the CNC machine is $4415 +shipping/taxes.
      The 110v ATC runs $3400 plus chiller and tubing $295 along with the v10 dust boot $150, end-caps $22, stepper covers $32, and Ultimate Hose Clamp $20. Prototype boom should be released later this year.
      All-in... this setup will run $8334 +shipping/tax.
