A quick summary for you guys: The Backstreet Boys have never broken up, they've been touring worldwide & releasing music consistently. However this if the first new music from them since 2013. All original members. I believe they are celebrating their 25 year anniversary this year. There will be 1, possibly 2 new albums this year....personally, I cannot wait!

As far as vocals go, they all still sound good.. Unfortunately Brian was diagnosed with vocal dysphonia years ago. Which basically means his vocal cords collapse on eachother as he tries to speak or sing. If you hear him live, you will def tell he struggles. But he has made progress and has improved dramatically . He can still belt out and sing high notes perfect. And they have not lost it at all doing acapellas.

So the BSB just celebrated their 25th anniversary in April. They never broke up which is the misconception a lot of people have. They are “back” essentially to radio but they have been releasing albums, touring, doing BSB cruises and even have a residency in Las Vegas. They are coming out with their 10th studio album to celebrate their anniversary. They just signed a contract with RCA and have new management which is why they are now on radio and have gone back to a similar pop sound as opposed the last few released albums.
Just wanted to fill you guys in as I’m a HUGE BSB fan. Lol

Rommy Falero did a good job summing it up. The one with the long hair, Kevin, did leave the group to focus on family yet missed the group performances which he returned to during the tour they shared with New Kids On The Block.

Fun fact: This song was not only written for them but also was inspired by them. And to touch on some of what has already been stated in other comments.....any cliche-ness was done to prove they still got it plus people that have gone to their Las Vegas residency shows were/are always shocked that they still dance. Also, Brian, who has the vocal issues, he's the guy who sang "Baby don't go" at the end there [in case you might have been curious as to which member he was]. On another note though, I've watched a couple of your videos now and I have to say, it's highly refreshing how you guys give any criticisms and your opinions respectfully. Not too many people do these days. Makes for an enjoyable watch. 😉

Kevin did leave for a few years. There are a lot of shows they went on where Kevin was missing. I am glad they are all together now.
Kevin was out 2006-2012 to focus on family. He officially returned and the boys were back to all original members.

Pretty much what everyone else said, they have been going strong for 25 years. They are releasing their 10th album in October, fun fact all 9 albums were in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 which only a few artists have done and that was without radio play for at least 3 of those albums. For the video, they said they wanted to stay true to who they are but go a bit more modern. They described the video as an unapologetic throwback to the 90s. As for their voices, Brian has vocal dysphonia and has been struggling since around 2010, there was a point where he had trouble even speaking. AJ (in the hat/glasses) has smoked for years so his voice has changed slightly. Nick (one in the middle at the beginning) has actually improved vocally. Because of Brian's issues they may never sound exactly as they did years ago but they make it work and still sound pretty good considering.

Backstreet Boys never broke up! They’ve been together for going on 30 years!!!! They are the biggest boy group in the world. Those are also all the original members. Nick, Brian, AJ, Kevin and howie. Nick Carter does have a brother, Aaron Carter .

Backstreet Boys have been going on for 25 years with the same original members (Kevin with the long hair) left for 2 albums (3 if you count they NKOTBSB album) to raise a family. They went on a hiatus for a little while back in the early 00’s because AJ (with all the tattoos) went to rehab for drugs and alcohol. In that time Nick Carter had a solo career.
Nick was the guy in the middle singing in the beginning and he is brothers with Aaron Carter (I Want Candy) singer.
Brian lost his voice but is working hard to get it back.
Howie was the one with the long hair back in the day. ☺️❤️

You paused at Kevin..he's Brian's cousin. They are all the original members, but like someone else said..he looks like the white snoop dog in this video lol! They went on a Hiatus for a bit, then came back..did a tour in Vegas and on a cruise ship. Kevin left for a while to focus on family, but came back after a year I think. They've done 2 albums a few years back, but didn't get the same attention as their first 3 or 4 albums. So I think now they're trying to break back in again and so far the reaction to this song has been rather positive!

It’s exactly a typical group video because they intentionally did that since that’s what they’re known for. 😊 Their ‘cliche-ness’ you mentioned is the cliche-ness of a great boyband and well, they are the ones that started the boyband era. Their song still has that BSB style but with modern vibe.

The Backstreet Boys originated when Nick (the youngest) was 13 years old. They never officially broke up. They just lost their energy (at a low). Last few albums were flat. They have all, still been singing. It's just that they lost their energy/identity as a group. This song brings it back. Love the message and choreography! Note : Backstreet Boys don't necessarily prefer the "boyband" label. They are a harmony group who performs. It was a group created to mimic singing groups like Boys II Men. BSB were big in Europe before the U.S. They are all older now, but they are still maintaining their harmonies that they originated when they were so young. Takes balls. Hey just wanted to say im surprised with how good the sound is in the video and the quality of the opinions... a couple things to try to improve how much u say in the middle of watching the video a bit more and better background scenery but other then that for such a low sub channel good job keep up the good work

sydney jackson Yep. I really enjoy N’Sync ballads until this day. “This I promise you” and “That’s when I will stop loving” you and “I thought she knew” are my favorite for instance. I go crazy about these three original songs of them. The remake of “Sailing”and “Everything I own” get me nuts lol
So don’t get me wrong when I say they were too technical, because I am saying they were sharp in delivering perfect vocals and moves, but there’s something about BSB vocal harmony blend that I can not explain, and that reflects in the way they are not perfect at all, more loose, more meant to be so much they have never broke up, part of it because bad management and media boycott. But in my true point of view because they are all very emotional singers at heart and almost always sacrifice their career continuing doing great pop music in tune with their roots and out of tune with the mainstream changes.
Justin Timberlake is the best example of what I am trying to explain, he does very good music but always in tune with the music industry of the time, he is a business man, JC that back in the day had the most soulful beautiful leading voice of N’Sync never made it too.
So what I am saying is that BSB will always be the greatest boyband of the 90s and a legend because they will always deliver anything like a boyband for life even the cliche-ness without any excuses. Do you see N’Sync doing it if they had continued, I don’t. Big 😘
