They get 4 out of 5 in both waterproof and windproof but I would say realistically it should be a 3-4. We were out in the rain and after about an hour I could feel the damp start to seep through. To be fair I've never found any that didnt let some amount of water through eventually but they are definitely OK for showers but maybe not just hours of heavy prolonged Irish rain. Hope this helps.
