Hi Andy I ❤ this Parish.. Because of it's connection with the R.A.F. Yes highest respect to the Polish fliers, without them it's possible, the battle of Britain may have lost the war in the skys. ❤ how the church commemorates both British and Polish. The stainglass window is beautiful. Door of church is amazing , in honour of those who lost their lives, along with those who returned .. All heroes.. Bless em.. I also enjoyed rest of village. Thank you for vlog.
Fabulous place Faldingworth. You'll like the next one too, seeing as you like RAF stuff, because it's to do with RAF Faldingworth...without actually BEING RAF Faldingworth, if that makes sense
Hey Andy, thank you for the upload, remember when l mentioned John Wilson in your video, well in Faldingworth church graveyard lays my great granny and grandad Dawson, they lived at Forge Farm in Faldingworth , they were the local blacksmiths, Granny Dawson was on her first marriage married to John Wilson, he was a Canadian who left Canada to join up with the Scott’s Guards, he unfortunately got killed in France in the great war, l have the death Penny in my possession along with other memorabilia, they had one child which was my grandma Mottram, they farmed at Claxby, had two girls which one was my mum, that’ll do for now but l spent many days in Faldingworth, Lissington, Claxby, Kingthorpe, and Holton Beckering to name a few🙂
@@TheVillageIdiot cheers Andy, back in the day my dad worked at Holton power farmers, I spent my first year there as my mum and dad lived in one of their Nissan huts which in them days (1950’s) were still in very nice condition, lots more to tell you but that’ll give you some idea🙂
Hi Andy, the last bell, "Priests", one CWT,. that means it's one hundredweight, not counterweight, CWT=one hunderedweight=1/20th. of a ton=8st.=122lbs. Apparently CTwT is the abbreviation for counterweight. Unless I've made a grave error and you're going to put me right.
