I am 57 now…God how I loved this band and the 80’s! Drove my Firebird with the tops out listening to this! I miss those days and would give anything to go back and relive that time all over again! ❤

But, that dude loved his wife. When she was killed in that car crash, there was a concern he wouldn't come back from it. I'm so glad he did. It was hard to find a bonding love like that, considering that "road life" hats off to him..
One of the best bands .. Kip is a true gentleman his looks and talent are just the icing on the cake 🥰..he dated my friend early 98 and it allowed me to have the pleasure of being around him quite a few times truly a super kind man without a inflated ego …Amazingly talented !!🎤🎸

My friend Kat and I were in the Hilton Elevator with them when they were on tour filming this video, and the gave us red roses and invited us to be front row for the video.
I remember us bringing a hand full of girls to the front row and they are featured in that front row panning shot... :) This is still one of my favorite productions I have been involved with.. great times!!!

lol 4:17 Reb looks genuinely shocked that he flung his guitar pick and somehow nailed the camera.
We shot those close ups early in the day before the fans were let in and Reb was genuinely shocked when he nailed it because we did a few passes and he just missed a few times so yes that is an honest look on his face :)

I love Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Testament, Death Angel, Exodus, Overkill, Motorhead... And I can honestly say Winger did not deserve the bashing they took from the Great Wall Of Nirvana. Winger had talent, and I get how someone can think they are cheesy, but look at the ones who made it through.. Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, etc.. whats the difference there? I just never understood the hate

Got to see these guys many years back in a small club in Little Rock. Fantastic show !! I have to say that was a great experience being able to get close enough to the band to see them get to work their instruments ...Had a band called Blackfish opening for them.After many years of hunting I located their ( Blackfish) album online and have listened to it several times...great memories .
Kip was a music genius to me I say that because he was classically trained and could play multiple instruments and wrote some excellent songs for winger and for a few movies I believe
my cousin let me hear this song when she was listening to it a few years ago and she got me loving this song, Winger is awesome!

Just think these superb musicians with great music were given a forced vacation thanks to Grunge in 1992 until 1998. Glad Winger is still around while Grunge is a footnote in music history.

Light show courtesy of KISS! I saw KISS with Winger on this tour and I remember being happy to have this video as a little souvenir from my experience. It wasn't the same venue, but it was similar enough. This was way before people were recording every show on their cell phones, the internet, and when MTV was one of your only connections to visual music.

If you were a record exec and these guys walked in your office; Reb with his unequalled technical mastery and Kip's incredible charisma and lead abilities (not to mention his Masters Degree in Music from Juliard (!), you'd be seeing dollar signs (We're gettin paid baby!). Monstrous band, pretty much unequalled technically. Fellow musicians know these guys are major A-List musicians.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more accomplished band position by position. Juliard trained Kip Winger, a monstrous, technically proficient player in Reb Beach as good a player as anyone in history, and one of the best on drums Rod Morgenstein. Incredibly talented musicians.

Why so hard to believe? He is a virtuoso, started playing music as a kid and can play any instrument. Not so hard to believe for me.
He's an incredible musician, a true artist.
I wish I was born in the 80s.
I'm usually most of the time only interested in listening to studio recorded songs, but when a live recording sounds this good that's when I also like listening to live recordings. The sound of this video is just exciting with great stereo audio quality. As being one really working hard at getting a recording business off the ground and really being big for sure into audio recording, oh man does the sound of this video really make me with I could have been working on recording, mixing, and mastering that with them at Rhino Records. It always would have felt so great to me to have been able to help turn out a live recording of a band like Winger with such great audio quality. I also like Winger. They made quite enough great sounding songs. Well at least I'm going to be able to start being a recording person for a good known cover band in my area, to help as advertising for them as a cover band. I've gotten my recording, mixing, and mastering skills up to quite a professional enough level, so I'm sure they're never going to be sorry to start having me as a recording person for them.
Dude, it's a music video. It's not live, they taped this just like you would a music video, then they mixed in the audience sound with the original track to make it seem live. Bands do it all the time, and least they used to, even for albums that were supposed to be live albums, they would re-record the songs in the stadium, and most likely do a couple takes before they got the one they wanted, and then mix in the live audience sound later when they actually did play it live.
@@zZrEtRiBuTiOnZz No, this IS live. I was at this show and it sounded just like this. They are one of the few live bands I've seen (Disturbed included) who actually sound the same live as on tape. Don't believe it's live, watch the guitar solo and the drummer. Can't match studio music tempo playing live, would have taken a lot of overdubbing and stuff to get the sound to match the playing in the video.
@@ichitoburrito1359 All you gotta do is play the actual studio song through the speakers and then play along. Most big pop artists do it all the time.
@@ichitoburrito1359 This is not live. It's the album track with crowd noise layered on top of it. Listen to the studio track, it's the same.
That's no knock against Winger, who play phenomenally well live and always sounded just as good as the record (amazingly good). They're not "worse" live, just different. There are so many aspects of a studio recording that simply don't exist in a live performance, and this one has a lot of them. Cheers.
