- Welcome to Koi Chronicles, and in this chronicle I will be showing you How to install a new air pump diaphragm inside the automatic EazyPod. I have decided to recondition this unit and to keep it for the grown on. Keep your eye out on the channel for Koi automation and all things #IoT related moving forwards. In my on hands view its a excellent unit but the technology isn't in the same league as me. I've since made it even #smarter, so that sides all sorted now. The #EazyPodAuto is an awesome product however in the wrong hands it could be a very different story. 🙈🙏⛩️🈂️KC

Quick Q. If using the Eazy Pod UV auto, does the UV stay on during the cleaning cycle and if so, how does it stay cool? The manual says not to run the system dry, I guess because of the UV but does the UV switch off when the pump shuts down?
Thanks for the question Douglas! No! If your uv is on the same circuit as your pump it will follow suit and cut out. Always consult a professional when installing this product. 👍🙏⛩️🈂️KC #HintHint
Connect your uv to your pump connector bud
The easy pod auto uses just one diaphragm unit from the 70 litre air pump. The 70 litre pump has 2x those diaphragms . So you are right it is a 35 litre pump. . I use a t piece on the auto air pipe and then connect the air to the 70 litre pump and manually switch the air supply to the pod and use both air pumps to boil the media if that makes sense

Hi paul I’m on the evolution site, I’ve found a k2 airpump replacement is this the right one 👍🏼 I don’t want to underspec as have the same issue with auto Easypod

@@georgegoldie4383 Alittle underpowered for sure. A second option however only if your're electrically minded. It's possible to wire up a 70lpm one that you get with the eazypod air. 😉🙏⛩️🈂️KC
Hi mate, I’ve ordered the replacement but had already bought that separate 70 model complete as was planning to run airstones either side of my concrete bridge over the centre of my pond, tbf it’s not hard to wire you could just put some 3 way wagos on the old flex off the old unit with the 70 ran separate and fit the new k2 that you showed In your video that should clean it better. Joys of been an approved electrician 😝

great video ,did you strip the old unit to confirm diaphragm had failed as most failures ive seen were result of poor connection of black tube to pump outlet or outlet pipe being pulled and disconnecting from joint .
Hi Michael and thanks for watching and stopping by. Yes you are correct and have to agree. Ultimately it was a poor connection however it was due for a overhauling as the old diaphragm wasn't as powerful as the new one. Kind regards 😏🙏⛩️🈂️KC
