The dialog presents a more familiar tone between Raymond and Rebecca. 5. The "Rebecca" ending - The hardest ending to earn. This ending is probably impossible for anyone to have achieved first time with no prior game knowledge. It involves finding 4 special coins throughout your gameplay. Two are in the apartment, which you are in briefly when Rebecca is shown getting the phone call from Raymond. The second two are in the Embalming room along with a marker. Continue playing towards getting the good ending and with all 4 coins found you will eventually trigger a dream sequence. Place all the coins in her palms. After this simply finish the shift, burning the correct body with the correct name.

@@csouter02 Definitely not as creepy as this game. I am on the admin side of things mostly (death certificates, transfers, reporting, etc.). I'm around the bodies but not working directly with them. They have the look of a dead person down pretty well. Dead people look very dead. There's even a waiver we have people sign if they want to see their loved one without the embalming/make up. The waiver releases us from liability for any emotional damage done by seeing their very dead relative. I have some strong opinions about how removed people are from death that makes that form necessary, but my soapbox is in the shop right now. It is a tough job though. You're often dealing with people on the worst day of their life and that makes customer service extra hard. I've had a few times where we've needed to call law enforcement due to someone being aggressive. I also have some ethical issues with how the whole death industry operates. However I do appreciate being able to help make life a little easier for those who are fresh into the mourning process. Eventually I'd like to switch over to being in a death doula type role, but for now this is good to help me learn the rules and how things work. @@csouter02 I started in EMS! Turns out I have too strong a sense of smell and too weak of a back for the work. Good on you for working in the field. It's hard work that never pays enough for everything you have to deal with. Dead people are (usually) the easiest to deal with on a call, it's the live ones that are trouble and sometimes dangerous. But I don't have to tell you that. So I'm pretty sure every live theater has at least one ghost. I mean it makes sense if you're dead and can go anywhere, why would you hang out with your dead body? I'd want to go somewhere fun. There's also just a feeling that seems so soak into the walls in live theater. It's hard to describe, but if you know, you know. So my best one was at an old theater that was built in the height of the art deco movement. Gorgeous, but also built before there were many safety considerations. I spent a lot of time there alone, but rarely felt alone. Before this I was a optimistic skeptic... I think there's something more but want to rule every possible mundane reason for something first. I was shutting things down for the night and getting ready to leave. To turn off all the house and stage lights (except the ghost light of course) you have to turn them off at the panel, then walk through the dark theater to get to the front of house and exit. At the front of the stage we had the orchestra pit open. This was a pit for the musicians to play in without being seen. This was also about 15' drop (read: a significant mechanism of injury). I flipped the lights at the panel and started to walk, only to realize I forgot my flash light (this was before cellphones had flashlights. I'm old). I figured I'd just navigate in the dark since I've done this a million times anyways. What's the worst that could happen? Well, you guess it, I lost my balance on the steps next to the pit. I tripped and was heading in the direction of the unprotected, uncovered pit. (OSHA would have some opinions about this). As I'm losing my balance I feel a hand grab my right arm and pull me back. Now I'm pumped full of adrenaline and trying to figure out any possible way I might have got caught on something. There's nothing. I said thank you to the air and got out of there. The next day I had a bruise that had definite finger marks. Enough so that if I went to a doctor's office they'd ask a bunch of questions about my safety at home. After that incident I always talked to the resident ghosts. The most activity was in the tool/rigging supply room. You got the impression that if you were to take a tool, it was to go back to the exact same place. The theater had a history of workers and volunteers who loved it and passed away. I think that some loved it so much they just stayed there, which doesn't seem like such a bad post mortem gig at all.
I've been keeping myself from watching other playthroughs cuz of course I wanted to watch my absolute favorite letsplayer on youtube! Better hurry and watch though folks cuz this game has been getting hit with demonitization all over youtube. Watch it while it's still complete. Thanks Chris you're the best!
This game was amazing CJU! I was waiting for you to play it, Thank you for playing it! At 50:19, you missed a creature, demon, or whatever it was sitting on top of the cabinet. 😱
When the character vocally nopes out of there...you actually have a short period of time in which you can try, apparently. (I say this because it didn't let you try to drive off, but it did let me, when I went straight to the car, just after that.) Love your work, wanted to let you know something you missed that is easy to.
@@Laura_5757 It didn't let me actually drive off. She tries to start the car, it refuses, and she goes into 'get back to work' mode because of the demon.
I have watched Jacksepticeye, Gab and Chris play this game and I noticed that the place of the sigils, the place of the stuff on the bodies (and the type of it), the passwords and the name of the deads are all randomised, great lil details! Edit: Also just realised that one of the bodies is also different from the playthrough of Jack's and Gab's
1:12:48 I always find myself laughing and wondering if he would do this in real life too; Arguing with, not only a talking dead body, but a talking dead body possessed by the devil/demons--- as if it's nothing worse than correcting a long time annoying friend. Also, I'm so tense by this point that the sound of ice shifting in my water bottle was enough to make me jump. I don't think I'd *EVER* be the one to argue with demons and make it sound like we're arguing over the price of butter.
The scale of improvements went enormous! Overall plot is great! Every scare works and whole process of embalming is very much accurate and precise (as for someone who was growing up within the eastern european funeral house business in economical transformation time in the 90's). Devs made a bloody good work. And, as always, with your commentary - it was even better experience.
YESSS I was really hoping this would be today’s video!!!! Thank you CJU! Edit: 30 min into the video, this game is even cooler than I expected!!! Absolutely love your playthrough as well.
What a fantastic game. I rarely get on edge with anything but this got me a few times. Please do upload the other shifts and endings, Chris, I will absolutely watch you go through all this again.
After finishing through this video, my first thought was --- she should've listened to her grandmother, LOL. Anyways, *LOVED* this game. When you've got it in your head to just watch half of the length of the gameplay but didn't realize that you're already close to its finishing point... that's one important indication that it was that good. It has been awhile since I've watched a horror gameplay, mainly because I'm getting burnt out by the kind of crap that devs had been dishing out as of late. So to see this out is a real pleasant treat. I've enjoyed the 2 demos and I'm glad that the full version didn't disappoint. Voice-acting was done well, the tension & jumpscares got me, the mechanics may be overwhelming at first, but it didn't take long for you to get used to it, and we actually see moving characters including your own. Looking forward to its next vid.
Amazing LP and what an amazing game! I'm so happy I found your channel many years ago. I've gotten to experience so many amazing horror games through you that I never would have been able to on my own. Keep up the phenomenal work!
Holy crap that surreal underground sequence freaked me out. I'm getting a mix of vibes from the films Hereditary and the Autopsy of Jane Doe. They employ the creepy jump scares here rather more than the in-your-face kind and I appreciate that.
Honestly I usually think of things like demons and possession to be too silly to be scary, but this was without a doubt one of the scariest games I've seen in a *very* long time!
The Mortuary Assistant, finally! I love what they did with the story for the game. Very well done, cool mechanics, and like you said, a bit of an educational walkthrough as well. I hope you do play another shift or two on the channel. Thanks for the playthrough!
this game is epic horror, truly the finest one I've seen in some time. the scares are on point and just the job itself puts one on edge. makes me wonder the kind of people that can do this job, I absolutely would not be able to.

this was great, and certainly an improvement over the already good demos loved when the demon said "GIVE IT TO ME" something in the way he said it was so amusing

I am calling it now. This demonic entity isn't one that can't be easily gotten rid of. Or there is a portal in the building that allows various entities to come through and haunt the place.
Can't wait to see you play through some more shifts! I already watched Hollow play the first two earlier today, but it was a totally different experience and you guys did some things differently/uncovered some different things of the story.
Pretty sure Chris is the one guy who wouldnt take down a video even if it was demonitized
@@lemonpaperplanes You're probably absolutely right my friend.
Why is it being demonitized? Or is that Demon-itized? No seriously though?
@@kamyk2000 That's the question. So far I haven't got an answer from any of the other creators.
I would assume it's the nature of the game and also some of the scenes from Rebecca's backstory.
This was very impressive!
They've really moved beyond the already huge promise of the demo - great to see that there was even more to it.
This game was amazing CJU! I was waiting for you to play it, Thank you for playing it! At 50:19, you missed a creature, demon, or whatever it was sitting on top of the cabinet. 😱
And after he brings out the guy, there's an awful looking demon thing under the cabinet. They're everywhere, I'm guessing we're missing lots of em
The color drained from my face when I saw it the second time because I had to check to make sure it was there since he didn't react. 😅
This was so good! I was actually surprised our dear old grandma wasn’t our prized demon😂
Hey now, let's not count that out yet lol.
This has to be a series. This game is so good.
When the character vocally nopes out of there...you actually have a short period of time in which you can try, apparently. (I say this because it didn't let you try to drive off, but it did let me, when I went straight to the car, just after that.) Love your work, wanted to let you know something you missed that is easy to.
But what happened after you drove off? Did you get possessed anyway or was it just the one out of the game?
@@Laura_5757 It didn't let me actually drive off. She tries to start the car, it refuses, and she goes into 'get back to work' mode because of the demon.
The sound design in this is amazing! Great voice work too. Watching this with headphones on was very scary and immersive.
Nothing like leaving your new mortuary assistant to fight a demon all by herself 😅😅
The poor demon on the cabinet totally ignored at 50:20. I feel bad for them🤣
I have watched Jacksepticeye, Gab and Chris play this game and I noticed that the place of the sigils, the place of the stuff on the bodies (and the type of it), the passwords and the name of the deads are all randomised, great lil details!
I really hope you show all the endings. This was great! Scary AF
YESSS I was really hoping this would be today’s video!!!! Thank you CJU!
Edit: 30 min into the video, this game is even cooler than I expected!!! Absolutely love your playthrough as well.
Your channel is really growing quick, keep up the good work
What a fantastic game.
That was really fun! Please do another shift with us... or two. Thank you for playing, CJU!
I'd normally file a game like this under "Abso-fucking-lutely Not" but I really can't help but feel tempted to play it considering how good it is.
Please play more of this! It's such a cool concept with an amazing execution. Paired with your playstyle and humor, it becomes quite the experience.
I was waiting for this one! it's a little shorter than I expected but totally worth the wait! thanks so much for another awesome play through
I am so excited! I watched your demo for this awhile back, and since then this game has always been on my mind. Thank you for playing it!
You’re videos are enjoyable; I watch your gameplay everyday!
Love your content so much! Hope to see you play more shifts of this as it’s such a great game and your play throughs are so enjoyable!
Amazing LP and what an amazing game! I'm so happy I found your channel many years ago. I've gotten to experience so many amazing horror games through you that I never would have been able to on my own. Keep up the phenomenal work!
Oh jolly good, and yes we all have waited! This will be nice to watch while waking up. plus to sooth my wounds of cough and having a cold now :O 🤒😷
Holy crap that surreal underground sequence freaked me out. I'm getting a mix of vibes from the films Hereditary and the Autopsy of Jane Doe. They employ the creepy jump scares here rather more than the in-your-face kind and I appreciate that.
I'm just happy to know that Lyle got a new job after Wings (90s sitcom) 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly I usually think of things like demons and possession to be too silly to be scary, but this was without a doubt one of the scariest games I've seen in a *very* long time!
Can't wait for more of this! You did amazing!
There is such a unique way you play these games, immersing yourself into the mindset of the character. Love it.
Ahhh! This was so good I had to recommend this to my friend too. Thank you for all your videos. My day always gets better when I see that you've posted one!!
You HAVE to do the other endings! This game is so great. Far exceeded many other games played in this channel. But I absolutely love your channel. It’s my #1 go to for gaming.
This is beautifully original. Very looking forward to another video.
I am so glad to see the full game coming to the channel! Always love the commentary and cool-headed logic I get to see. Really hoping to see a couple more endings, although it may get a little repetitive to keep going through the shifts. By far the best playthrough of this game I've seen up to this point. Much love! ❤
this is such a unique and interesting game, and paired with cju... just perfect! been a long time since i enjoyed watching a playthrough this much. :)
this was great, and certainly an improvement over the already good demos
loved when the demon said "GIVE IT TO ME" something in the way he said it was so amusing
15:18 notice the window is now open ! .. Nicely done
Yes, please play more of this game. And while it may not have varied enough content to make a full series, please do make fairly long playthroughs of further play. I look very much forward to your longer videos.
Wow. First off, great video, as usual. Secondly, this is a fantastic horror game. It has a great combination of creepy and frightening scenes and the jump scares were perfectly timed and executed. Will be purchasing this game thanks to your playthrough, Chris 😁👍
I am calling it now. This demonic entity isn't one that can't be easily gotten rid of. Or there is a portal in the building that allows various entities to come through and haunt the place.
I can’t wait!!! I’ve been looking forward to the full release for so long 😆
Can't wait to see you play through some more shifts! I already watched Hollow play the first two earlier today, but it was a totally different experience and you guys did some things differently/uncovered some different things of the story. I'm really intrigued to see how the story develops, what the main character's backstory is and how many more jump scares there are!👀
It's a bloody brilliant game with really creepy atmosphere and jump scares. Can't wait for more :D
This is pretty cool. I find mortuary and funeral stuff to be quite interesting. The demon puzzle thing is very creative. Well done, devs.
Thank you for playing this fantastic game. It was amazing, and every jumpscare was amazing, and different. You are the best!!
Love this, hope to see more. The demonology was a bit of bombshell
This game has similar vibes to the movie The Autopsy of Jane Doe. That was such a creepy movie! And this game seriously looks really good.
This was amazing! I'm so glad you're playing it, CJU!
Absolutely fantastic, I think this game is bloody horrendous and brilliant at the same time. Prob not great go watch in bed in the dark at 1.30am but adds to the vibe of the game. Cant not wait for more playthrough and endings. Only downfall is I wish is was way longer. Well done Chris, another epic playthrough 👏👏
Looking forward for the other ending. Love how this game make use of creepy atmosphere over simple jump scare. The build up. In fear is real.
Great gameplay, thanks for sharing! I really hope you continue with another shift. ❤️
I watched a few people play this and it is quite incredible! One of the best horror games in a long time! (The first demo was amazingly scary, didn’t care as much for the 2nd) Excited to see you play!
more, please. This is the first good game in months
Dude I love the longer vids I prefer them better than the 20 min vids. Thx for the entertainment
This game is excellent! Would love to see more!
YAS! So glad you're playing this!
Soooo gooood!! Would love to see you play this more and see some other endings 😁😊
Even the thumbnail makes me spooked out.. excited for the gameplay!
The fact that at 50:19 , you missed the creature sat on the cupboard and just went about your day sends shivers down my spine.
This game is unbelievably good! But Jesus, I will have nightmares for weeks!
Don't know about anyone else, but I definitely hope you don't turn in your notice. I want to see more of those endings, and honestly, this game is even better in the full versions than it was in the demos, and the demos were already fantastic.
I'd love to see you continue this game. I'm curious if the basement really looked like the temple of doom or if that was a hallucination.
I’m glad you’ll be putting up more videos of this. I was really looking forward to it so when I saw one episode and the “Ending” tag I was worried it would be a one and done type thing.
Your channel play through for this game was recommended to me bc it’s been said you’re very meticulous. I can’t wait to see you find all the secrets!
i FINALLY got to play this today. my computer broke at the end of may and i fixed it myself this week. so happy i can finally watch your playthrough of this!
And I'm gonna say: "Thank you very much for streaming and I hope to see you soon on another video FOR A SECOND SHIFT OF MORTUARY ASSISTANT ASAP!!"
Absolutely loved this playthrough!! So so so good!!
Would love for you to turn this into a series.
Been looking forward to watching you play this! Thoroughly enjoyed the scares and voice acting. Can’t wait to see the other endings ❤
I def wanna see more! This was a good one the developer did a great job!
Thanks for playing Chris! I'm hyped too! I want to see you got other endings as well! 🍻🍻🍻
This game looks really good. Tony Pizza is my new favorite character
This was amazing! I enjoyed this so much! It definitely gave me chills. Well done!😁👍
Loved this..hope to see you do another shift
Loved this! Thanks Chris!
Best yet. But I cant believe CJU didnt explore the bathroom more. Missed a trick with the mirror. Maybe another playthrough. Brilliant vid.
This was an excellent playthrough... Can't wait for another shift!!!!
