Out of all sporting events I have watched in my life, the 2022 World Cup and the story of Messi achieving the trophy was the greatest of all. I will never forget.
after all he has done, after all he achieved, after all the glory he received, at the age of 35 and wife+3 kids, Messi still comes like a shy quiet boy to the stage and accepts the award in a humbler demeanor than most people go about their daily lives. there are very few sportsmen in history who have achieved not nearly as much as him or were as good in their sport as he is, yet success and false confidence have gone to their heads, meanwhile, Messi is still that shy little dude from Argentina who just want to play football.
That is his character and what makes him different from the rest and so special. He never feels superior to anyone. Only true great persons can achieve this. He is one of a kind.
