It’s nice to see kids helping the parents do outside activities. That’s a rare thing to see now a days. Plus they get to learn something while they’re at it.

I think I like this idea. I usually come up with my own, but was looking randomly through garden vids and saw this one. I think the only difference I'd make is to put treated(not near food) 4x4s horizontal, and build up, without sinking posts. And making it in sections that hook together. Movable. But yours is more solid.

The only change I'd make is going about 10-12' high and cover the top also, that way you can grow some smaller trees inside or not cover the top but still have it that high encase I want to turn it to a green house.

Stunning raised bed garden! We have been talking about doing a raised bed garden, as we have a big deer problem and also have clay soil. Love your plan! You and your family have done a great job on yours!!! Would you kindly tell us what kind of wood you used and if your are going to seal it w/ food grade linseed oil or anything else? Would you also give the approximate cost to build it, the number of man hours to build it with your helpers, and if you have any other tips you could pass along to us that would help us in trying to build one of these? Would you be willing to share your plans & materials list and best place to purchase? Must have one of those augers before undertaking this project! Thanks again for sharing your gorgeous raised bed garden!!!

This is awesome. I have been planning to convert and older 80' x 22' garden for a while. Been getting inspiration with many ideas, and what you did captures pretty much all of it. Haven't seen the tomato trellis vid yet but have the space in between to do that and of course I'll be seeing how you did it. Thanks so much for sharing! Love the wood idea to fill the beds. I have PLENTY of that to get rid off. Question... I do want to have stone/pebble floor. Would you do lay rock first, or install this and then fill? My guess is that later as it's a waste of stone but I'm pretty newbie so figured I'd ask. :)

This is my second time watching your video, as I'm gaining inspiration to build my own soon once full Spring is in effect. This might be a silly question, but I'm puzzled regarding treated lumber. Everything that I've read states treated lumber is what needs to be placed in the ground, and the treated lumber at my stores is that dark brown heavy stuff that's injected with chemicals to make it last. Your treated posts have that real "wood" appearance and the grain looks much nicer then what is available to buy at my local big box stores. Do you at all by chance know the difference of what I'm talking about? Thanks in advanced, and great video!
