I need these beginner tips. I’m an adult but I’ve just discovered soccer and really want to improve. Thank you for your videos!

I became two footed soccer player at 48 to a point that some of the people I play on Sundays think I’m lefty.
I’m improve a lot of soccer techniques at that age while training my kids and watching YT videos like this one. I’m 50 now 😅

@@khelcomdiaga hey that gives me hope. I’m 25 but really bad at soccer. Can I improve my overall game if I practice? How did you practice at an adult age how did you fit in your routine and what kind of drills did you do?

      @@Ghost10Bxl When there’s a will there’s always a way 😉
In a nutshell I discovered late 😅 while learning to play piano that the brain controls everything. In a way that if we can imagine/picture something, we can do it @ 99%
I started in a small (1,5m x 1,5m) area for basic ⚽️ touches/roll/pass and I repeat at least 30 mins a day. I do everything as slow as necessary in order to have the whole body movement “perfect” and memorized than I upped the tempo slowly but surely.
Of course I’ve watched some short YT videos that were basic: Will John for instance.
I later stumbled into SenseBall which explains very well the cogitraining and I bought 2 balls for my 2 boys from Amazon and it’s helping them a lot.
      Cheers

Excellent video! Practice makes permanent not necessarily perfect. So sloppy practice leads to floppy playing. Thanks for the reminder. I tell my dance students the same.

    Hello, interesting video 👍🏾
It’s good to mention the backing foot as it’s most important than the passing or receiving foot. When set correctly, the rest becomes easier and that’s true for any sport or activity.
Keep up the good job 👏🏾

@ProgressiveSoccer you first mention keeping the foot horizontally and almost on the ground throughout the pass, but then your drills against the wall look very different, with the leg swinging upwards and foot rotating. Could you explain? Thanks!

I think it’s because most people accept to make mistakes during practice and not in games.
Accepting that something will go wrong or not be perfect will help with the stress and panic.
The rest is to practice in game like situations always with intensity. Even if it’s in short period of few minutes or seconds.
